A
C
D
For
those
that
haven't
met
me
on
the
regional
manager
for
the
Michigan,
Indigent,
defense,
commission
and
I'm,
just
here
in
case,
anybody
has
any
questions.
I
know
some
of
you
are
new
to
the
commission,
and
maybe
you
wanted
some
questions
answered
or
some
backgrounds
so
I'm
just
available.
If
you
have
any
questions.
D
Yes,
the
state
is
funding
it
adequately.
We
got
exactly
what
we
asked
for
in
terms
of
the
governor's
budget
recommendation,
so
we're
on
track
for
that,
and
things
are
working,
we're
adding
standards
each
year
pretty
much
this
and
this
year
there
will
be
the
addition
in
the
upcoming
year,
which
the
grant
year
will
begin
October
1st
of
23
for
fy24,
and
the
grant
is
due
at
the
end
of
April,
which
is
what
this
is
about
really,
and
there
are
Stan
this.
D
The
standard
that
is
new
this
year
is
setting
minimum
pay
standards,
so
that
is
likely
to
be
more
money
requested,
but
it
does
not
change
your
local
share
at
all.
Your
local
share
is
predetermined.
That
does
not
change
from
year
to
year.
If
you
ask
for
more
money,
it
means
the
state
side
is
where
the
money's
coming
from
not
from
the
county.
Okay,.
C
D
Has
been
and
I
suspect,
I
think
there's
likely
to
be
some
expansion
of
staff,
so
the
the
cramping
might
get
more
cramped,
so
you're
probably
going
to
have
to
expand
a
little
further
somewhere.
E
And
so
we
appreciate
you
and,
and
also
is
the
chairman
alluded
to
there
may.
Hopefully,
if
everything
goes
well,
there
may
be
additional
space
to
expand
the
needs
that
the
district
and
circuit
courts
and
probate
courts
have
to
you
know
to
accomplish
their
their
their
work,
but
also
the
increasing
I
guess:
nature
of
additional
responsibilities:
police
stunt
courts
as
a
result
of
federal
and
state
action
regarding
the
rights
of
defendants
and
plaintiffs,
and
because
everyone
gets
more
complicated,
they
need
more
space
and
you're,
adding
more
staff.
So
we
are
so
yeah.
D
So,
thank
you
and
I
think
the
caseload
is
that
we
don't
have
the
caseload
standard
rolled
out
yet,
but
it's
coming,
it's
probably
going
to
come
in
the
upcoming
year.
So
we
need
to
be
looking
toward
expanding
the
staff
adequately
on
the
defender
side
to
make
sure
that
people
don't
drown
in
the
caseload.
E
D
As
an
indicator
of
where
the
future
is
and
what
why
we
think
that
commitment
is
strong
it,
it
is
looking
like
there's
a
strong
likelihood
that
juveniles
will
be
included
under
the
midc
umbrella.
D
So
we've
had
now
about
six
years
of
heavy
data
collection,
which
would
form
the
basis
of
a
royal
strong
lawsuit
if
they
cut
those
funds.
Back
so
I
think,
there's
there's
an
awareness
that
this
commitment
has
been
made,
that
it
is
made
to
make
sure
that
people's
constitutional
rights
are
protected
and
that
it
is
not
something
that
you
can
readily
back
away
from
yeah.
E
B
Process
when
someone
is
hired
is
very
manual
paper
heavy
and
they
fill
out
physical
forms
and
turn
all
those
in
and
what
we're
looking
to
do
is
to
do
that
electronically,
so
that
when
somebody
is
hired
at
the
county,
you
receive
all
of
your
paperwork
electronically.
You
fill
it
out
electronically
to
streamline
that
process
and
in
the
hopes
it
will
decrease
some
of
the
workflow
and
provide
that
seamless
transition.
More.
F
Just
the
projects,
just
just
the
project,
so
within
collaboration
there's
a
lot
of
forms
that
HR
has
very
specifics.
So
the
nice
thing
of
it
is
is
when
we
hire
issue,
certainly
hire
new
people
as
a
new
hiree
as
a
county
you'll
essentially
get
sent
a
link
in
your
email,
you'll
get
all
the
documents
signed
electronically
and
then
it'll
get
stored
back
in
our
system.
B
B
Type,
all
of
your
information,
in
which
also
opens
you
up
to
errors
right,
human
error
and
things
of
that
nature.
The
onboarding
process,
when
the
employee
does
it
electronically,
it's
going
to
automatically
import
all
of
that
information
into
our
system,
so
that
we
don't
have
to
do
all
that
data
entry
process
as
well
cutting
down
some
of
that.
B
F
There
is
there's
a
statement
of
work
that
we
need
signed
and
all
the
money
is
included
within
the
I.T
budget.
So
every
year
we
budget
for
projects
such
as
working
with
Tyler,
and
things
like
that.
So
there
is
a
statement
of
work
that
we
need
signed.
Okay,.
D
C
A
C
B
I
can
get
you
I
mean
I
can
send
you
the
old
one
versus
the
new
one,
but
this
is
just
incorporating
all
of
the
legislative
changes
that
have
taken
place
since
1998,
which
was
the
last
time
this
was
revised.
We
did
contract
with
an
outside
Council
to
take
a
look
at
that
policy
to
make
sure
that
we
are
in
compliance
with
all
of
the
changes
that
have
taken
place,
but
I
I
can
send
you
to
one
as
well.
Thank.
D
A
E
A
E
I
understand
two
of
our
commissioners
have
outstanding
obligations,
so
they
can't
be
at
the
state
of
the
community
function
tomorrow
with
the
Bay
Area
Chamber
of
Commerce
at
the
DoubleTree
Hotel,
wherever
the
Commissioners
that
will
be
present
and
I
want
to
thank
you
and
we're
on
a
very
limited
time
frame.
E
So
I
appreciate
your
attendance
and
I
know,
commissioner
Herrick
and
and
commissioner
Radke
have
job
responsibilities
that
preclude
their
attendance.
But
thank
you
guys
and
I'm,
proud
of
the
great
start
we're
off
to
this
year
and
I
I.
Look
forward
to
a
very
productive
and
successful
here,
working
together.
E
E
It's
brief,
so
you
know
it's
15
minutes
14
minutes
so.
