for-profit
corporation
and
they've
dedicated
that
property
to
be
used
for
child
care
on

campus
and
they're.
Currently
partnered
with
a
non-profit
organization,
montessori
house

base
city,
that's
actually
operating
child
care
on
that
campus.

great
question:
so
the
michigan
health
improvement
alliance
is
a
regional
entity
organization.
It's
a
non-profit,
working
on
population,
health
and
economic
development
issues
for
the
region,
the
city
of
bay
city,
recently
appropriated
750
000
of
its
arpa
dollars
to
mahaya
for
the
purpose
of
building
out
child
care
capacity
and
supply
in
the
city
of
bay
city.

thinking-
these
people
adhered
to-
what
the
process
was
from

beginning,
the
process

we
put
out

open
portal
for
people
to

would

worthy
applications
for
these
dollars.
They
put
it
in
in
time
which
the
501c3
people
did
not
they
put
their
project
in

time.

one

the
exact
items

these
dollars
should
be
allotted

negative
long-term
impact
to
be
able
to
create
more
child
care
opportunities
within

communities

we've
got
bay
city
that
has
done

themselves,
but
they
can't
reach
out
in
outside
of
the
city

able

allocate

dollars

group

county

people
have
come

great

pump
up
what
it
is
we

application

expand

montessori
children's
house

son
hunter
davis
has
attended

summer
program

attends

full-time
school
program
and
will
again
attend
their
summer
program.

helped

son
and
I
in
ways
that
go
far
and
above
and
beyond
the
call
of
duty,
as
most
places
do
allowing
the
school
to
expand
would
allow
them
to
help
more
families
and
improving
their
application.

my
mind,
because
I
know

exceptional
level
of
quality
care
and
support,
they
provide
our
children
as
an
absolute
no-brainer.

letter
in
lieu
of
attending
your
meeting,
as
my
son
will
be
home
and
attendance
would
not
be
pragmatic,

do
not
hesitate
to
call
now.

are
at
least
three
other
emails
that
I
got
from
people,
and
I
know
they
went
out
to
everybody
else
too,
but
sometimes
you
don't
have
a
chance
to
check
our
emails,
especially
before
meetings.

understand
that,
but
I
also
know
that
there
was
a
question
as
to
whether
or
not
bay
county
was
actually
a
child
care
desert,
and
although
there
is
all
kinds
of
data
that
would
actually
prove
that
I
can
give
you
an
antidote
just

little
anecdotal
evidence.
My
my
niece
and
her
husband
are
expecting
their
first
child
in
the
fall
and
they
are
already
on
seven
waiting
lists.

are
no
spaces
available
and
they
are
two
professional
people
that
have
ready
money
to
be
able
to
put
into
child
care.
But
there
are
no
spots
not
right
now,
so
an
opportunity
exists
for
us
to
be
able
to
fund
a
project
that
was
already
approved

for
funding.
Did
all
of
their
work,
got
everything
put
in
on
time
and
it's
ready
to
go.
It's
a
shovel,
ready
project
that,
if
we
decide
to
put
money
towards
it,
can
get
moving
right
away.

project

presented

question

allocated

competitive

they're

get

needs
