A
Thank
you
hey
good
afternoon,
it's
4
43
and
it's
a
special
meeting
of
the
Bay
County
Board
of
Commissioners,
and
we
will
start
with
the
roll
call.
Please.
B
A
B
C
D
D
A
A
Looks
good,
thank
you
no
say
no
one
will
go
to
item
for
consideration
from
the
county
executive
resolution
number
2023-97,
which
you
would
have
and
in
front
of
all
the
Commissioners
that
had
had
a
little
Revision
in
it.
So
this
is
the
concurrence
with
the
county
executive,
the
appointment
of
Matthew
B
restrictor
of
administrative
Services,
I'll.
A
E
F
He
will
be
working
with
B
to
continue
our
progress
on
the
animal
shelter
that
includes
the
concept
of
no
kill
and
the
success
rate
we've
had
at
basically
adapting
out
97
of
our
incoming
ends.
That's
a
significant
difference
from
the
91
percent
kill
rate
before
you
know.
Before
we
got
I
got
elected
and
made
that
an
issue,
the
other
primary
every
responsibility
will
be
Department
of
Veterans
Affairs.
So
I
will
just
tell
you
that
commissioner
namik
have
known
Matt
Beaver
for
25
years.
F
F
He's
a
small
business
owner
in
the
community
has
worked
as
both
a
corrections
officer
for
youth
out
in
Colorado
and
also
has
worked
that
next
tier
for
I
think
about
17
years
and
held
administrative
positions
within
the
UAW
and
that's
a
very
large
organization
about
6
000
employees.
Okay,
and
he
was
number
two
in
that
organization.
E
And
so
is
he
familiar
with
for
the
veterans?
Yes,.
F
G
I
know
Matt
Bieber,
not
as
much
as
Jim
does
but
I
know
of
him,
and
what
he's
done
in
the
in
the
community
he's
a
small
business
owner
with
his
wife
and
they
go
all
out
to
help
out
the
people
in
the
townships
we've
had
fundraisers,
we've
had
miscellaneous
stuff
that
he
goes
all
out.
He
wants
to
help
you
out.
He
will
go
all
out
to
make
sure
the
job
is
done
properly.
So
I
do
have
faith
that
I'm
taking
over
these
two
positions.
A
F
F
I'll
just
add:
if
I
could
Mr
chairman,
he
and
Laurie
have
hosted
huge
fundraisers,
as
commissioner
of
the
NASDAQ
has
mentioned,
for
a
variety
of
causes
and
and
especially
recently
modes
I
think
they
raised
a
huge
amount
of
money
to
help
a
restaurant
that
burned
here
in
local,
in
Bay
City,
as
well
as
supporting
the
Bay
County
Humane
Society
and
a
number
of
other.
You
know
humanitarian
efforts
throughout
the
county,
so
I
have
full
confidence
and
maths
abilities
and
his
passion
for
serving
the
public
and
also
what
he
he
wants
to.
D
A
Discussion,
I
just
want
to
say
that
I
think
this
is
a
good
thing
that
we're
doing
here
only
because
I
it
the
thing
I've
heard
in
the
last
two
weeks
that
bothers
me-
and
this
is
resonating
in
my
mind-
is
that
you
know
big
counties
in
Bay.
City
is
such
a
great
place
if
you're
like
a
certain
age,
if
you're
like
you
know
like
25
to
anywhere
else,
but
if
you're
a
kid,
it's
not
so
good.
A
So
I
like
that
I
like
the
idea
that
between
this
and
they
and
the
swim
lessons
partnership,
they
were
trying
to
do
something
for
kids.
You
know
we
we
take
care
of
adults,
pretty
good,
there's
an
adult
you
ever
see
us
doesn't
love
Bay
County,
everybody
loves
bacon.
They
love
Bay
City.
We
got
to
do
something
for
kids,
it's
a
good
start.
Thank
you
all.
My
favorite,
all
right
post
motion
carries.
G
Resolution
number
2023-500
swim
lesson:
partnership
equivalent
with
Essexville
Hampton
public
schools,
for
ten
thousand
support
to
approve
this
resolution.
Support
discussion,
commissioner
I
think
this
is
a
beautiful
thing,
we're
going
to
do
for
our
students
and
for
our
children
here
for
the
summer.
We
worked
on
that
and
even
though
our
pool
is
closed,
this
is
a
good
partnership.
We're
going
to
help
with
Essex
film,
but
I
think
it
was
a
good
thing.
F
And
I'll,
just
yes
good!
Thank
the
commission
for
the
support.
As
you
know,
the
community
center
pool
got
a
lot
of
public
support
and
we've
all
heard
from
them
and
I
I
think
this
is
an
excellent
way
to
sort
of
bridge
the
gap.
F
So,
hopefully
we'll
at
some
point
we'll
have
a
new
community
pool
and
to
bridge
that
Gap
we
will.
We
will
see
the
Adventist
summer
of
a
program
that
will
help
people
enjoy
swimming
and
also
for
the
young
people.
They
can
enjoy
swimming
lessons,
and-
and
it
is
as
noted
in
the
resolution-
it's
a
life
skill
That's
essential
not
only
for
everyone,
but
especially
with
the
amount
of
water
activities
that
we
have
here
on
the
shoreline
of
Saginaw
Bay
and
being
be
a
segment
Bay
Community.
So
thank
you,
but.
F
Know
well,
we
were
in
discussions
with
them,
but
and
I
know.
Commissioner
banasek
I
think
has
also
spoken
with
some
of
the
board
members.
We
offered
them
the
same
incentive
to
see
if
they
could
handle
some
of
the.
You
know
young
people
who
would
like
to
enjoy
the
pool
this
summer
and
they
were
not
interested
I,
wouldn't
say
they
weren't
interested
but
Tim.
What
would
you
say
you
know
they?
They
discussed
it
thought
about
it
and
yeah
space
constrain
and
it's
not
that
they
weren't
interested
but
space
constraints,
constraints
and
any
other
members.
G
Yeah
they
basically
talked
about
it,
and
a
couple
Board
of
members
says
no
there's
a
feasibility.
They
just
don't
have
the
time
availability
to
have
people
there
right
now,
there's
like
a
month
a
month
and
a
half
waiting
list
for
people
to
learn
how
to
swim.
They're
that
overbooked-
and
they
don't
have
that
many
people
there
and
the
Y
used
to
be.
You
have
to
be
their
presence
at
our
community
center.
They
were
used
to
drop
them
off
and
go
swimming
all
that
stuff,
but
after
why?
G
D
To
ask
a
question
that
question
I
had
a
number
of
people
ask
me
about
the
rec
program
with
the
swimming,
and
is
this
something
that
they
may
be
able
to
have
like
a
swim
day
or
something
over
there
for
the
kids
that
are
going
to
go
to
the
rec
program.
H
H
Through
the
recreation
program,
I
don't
believe
that
all
of
the
field
trips
have
been
set
yet,
but
we
always
go
to
the
splash
park
at
State.
Park
we're
doing
a
lot
of
water-based
activities
and
things
of
that
nature.
So
we
could
potentially
look
at
that.
Okay.
A
What's
up,
I,
don't
even
know
where
we
were
anymore.
Did
we
vote
on
it
yet
yeah,
okay,
good
yeah,
unfinished
business,
new
business,
miscellaneous
announcements,
yeah.
C
I
just
like
to
say
something:
79
years
ago
today
was
D-Day
and
my
dad
was
was
one
of
those
that
went
into
that
that
day
and
I
was
impressed
with
Memorial
ceremonies.
C
You
know
started
here
at
the
Bay
County
I
went
to
that
Hampton
Township
from
there
the
Vietnam
Memorial
from
there
I
went
through
floral
Gardens
and
then
over
back
to
ambits
over
at
the
vet,
Park
and
then
ended
up
at
Edison
and
I
was
just
impressed
with
our
veterans
the
job
that
they
that
they
do,
and
it's
just
a
great
experience
to
to
recognize
those
who
who
gave
their
lives.
You
know
for
our
country.
It
is
a
very
moving
ceremony.
C
Everyone
I
went
to
was
very
impressive
and,
and
then
we
had
Congressman
killed.
He
was
there,
you
know,
Jim
spoke
representative
Eason
did
a
supervisor,
Raleigh
and,
and
I
was
just
I
just
want
to
congratulate,
go
on
a
record
that
I
were
impressed
with,
but
I.
A
C
E
I
hope
I
get
this
right.
The
Boys
and
Girls
Club
on
national
day
and
Pinconning
is
having
theirs
on
the
29th
at
1pm
and
they
do
all
kinds
of
things
with
the
children
so
fun
things
because
I
had
asked
for
a
tour
and
she
said
well,
you
could
you
come
on
the
29th
because
that's
Boys
and
Girls
Club
national
day,
so
the
Boys
and
Girls
Club,
okay.
A
Commissioner,
big
I
think
he's
probably
tuned
in
today
that
the
best
you
know
he's
had
he
had
this
couple
complications
from
his
other
surgery,
I
think
he
was
all
dancing
or
something
and
broke
a
screwing,
his
back
or
something
we'll
be
glad
to
see
him
back
here.
We
know
he's
he's
probably
making
his
wife
crazy,
but
we'll
be
happy
when
he
comes
back
and
we
wish
him
well
and
I.
Think
that's
it
and
let
me
just
look
closed
session.
Then
I
didn't
think
so.
