A
A
Our
dear
lady
left
us
on
in
in
six
27
of
18.,
and
she
waited
so
that
they
were
married
72
years
together
on
August
14th
of
this
year.
Don
will
be
99
years
old.
A
Don
and
I
had
special
meetings
every
now
and
again,
and
he
pulled
up
in
his
car
in
in
Winona
Park
one
time
and
I
showed
him.
Some
plans
of
of
a
project
I
was
going
to
be
doing,
and
one
of
the
last
things
Betty
ever
said
to
me
is
make
sure
you
work
well
with
my
husband
and
I
said
absolutely,
and
we
made
it
through
all
of
the
projects
together.
Didn't
we?
Yes,
we
did
so
so
far
and
we're
not
done
yet.
A
How
many
know
Betty
wrote
a
book
curly,
hair
and
Other
Stories
you'll
hear
more
about
this
later.
This
is
actually
by
my
chair
and
I.
It's
800
and
some
pages
long
I,
don't
read
that
often,
but
I
read
at
least
one
chapter
a
night
and
luckily
the
chapters
are
about
three
pages
three
to
six
pages:
long,
because
that's
but
I'm
learning
a
lot
about
Betty,
I'm,
I,
think
I'm,
I,
think
she's
six
years
old
in
The,
Story,
So,
Far
So!
That's
where
I'm
at
well
you'll
hear
more
about
this
later.
A
A
This
is
this
program,
is
very
special
and
very
near
and
dear
to
all
of
our
hearts
and
before
I
forget
because
I'm
supposed
to
say
this
Kevin
has
a
concert
in
December,
December,
15th
and
16th
Cole
in
your
stocking
right
here
at
the
State
Theater,
so
you're
going
to
hear
some
stuff
tonight,
but
it's
not
going
to
be
Christmas
stuff
and
just
let
get
worn
in
you
right
now
and
Don.
B
B
I
have
she
was
a
caring
friend
to
me,
but
to
many
of
you,
that's
nothing
new.
She
was
a
caring
friend
to
you
too.
You
was
always
always
wonderful.
As
people
I
have
asked
my
son
to
read
portions
of
the
song,
that's
familiar
to
all
of
you
probably
and
for
me
it
seems
like
it
was
written
for
Betty
and
me,
betting,
myself
and
so
I
will
ask
Dave
to.
C
Hi
I'm
I'm
honored
to
be
here
with
you
all
I
was
the
one
with
all
the
glory.
You
were
the
one.
With
all
the
strength
you
were
content
to
Let
Me
Shine.
You
always
walked
a
step
behind
I.
Never
once
heard
you
complain.
C
B
D
B
A
A
We
had
a
lot
of
fun
with
art
on
the
show
the
other
day
and
I
I
wasn't
sure
which
way
we're
going
with
half
the
stuff,
but
we
got
there.
So
oh
I'm,
sorry
I'm
supposed
to
be
this
way
again.
So
I'm
gonna
get
out
of
the
light
in
a
second
here.
So
let's
sit
back
and
relax
and
listen
to
a
tribute
to
Betty
carlion.
Let's
welcome
to
the
stage
Kevin
Cole
and
Tom
freewald.
D

D
E
E
Welcome
to
a
tribute
that's
five
years
in
the
making
when
I
was
meeting
with
the
good
doctor
Don
and
asked
him
what
guidelines
I
should
have
for
the
music
choices
tonight.
This
is
what
he
said
to
me.
Kevin
I
want
the
evening
to
be
all
about
romance
and
I
said.
Well,
you
picked
the
right
guy
for
the
job.
E
It
is
indeed
going
to
be
about
romance
and
speaking
of
which
there
is
this
wonderful
book
that
I
have
right
here
with
me,
and
a
couple
of
things
I
have
to
say
before
I
read
from
this
book,
a
quote:
one
is
I,
am
the
son
of
a
Betty
as
well?
I
am
also
when
I
was
choosing.
What
to
wear
this
evening
had
no
idea
that
turquoise
was
her
favorite
color,
so
I
have
a
feeling.
She
guided
my
hand
over
so
I
had
three
to
choose
from
for
tonight
and
I.
E
Think
she
tapped
my
shoulder
and
said
it
better,
be
turquoise,
so
when
they
first
met
since
we're
going
to
deal
with
the
beginning
of
this
Romance
I
need
to
read
you
a
quote.
So
I
now
read
to
you
from
the
book
of
Betty.
E
There
was
a
reason:
I
wasn't
dating
in
early
March
Margaret,
which
was
one
of
her
best
friends
and
I
had
gone
home
for
the
weekend,
and
she
took
her
boyfriend
home
with
her
as
it
happened.
Her
older
brother
Don
was
there
too,
since
he
had
just
been
disjudged
from
the
merchant
marines.
Not
only
did
I
finally
get
to
meet
him,
but
I
also
thought
he
was
even
better.
Looking
than
the
pictures
I
had
seen
of
him
over
the
last
few
years.
E
E
Thank
you,
I,
like
putting
together
tunes
that
may
not
be
as
familiar
from
songwriters
who
are
Gershwin
has
two
songs
that
fit
nicely
into
Betty
and
Don.
Finding
each
other
one
is
called
looking
for
a
boy
and
the
other
is
a
lovely
but
unknown
Gershwin
tune
called
where's
the
boy.
Here's
the
girl,
oh.

Times
I
understand
you
and
I
know
how
hard
you've
tried
watched
while
love
commands.
You
've
watched,
love,
pass
you
by
the
times,
I
think
we're
Drifters
still
searching
for
a
friend,
brother
or
sister,
but
then
the
passion
flares
again
and
Sometimes
When
We
Touch,
the
honesty's
too
much
and
I
have
to
close
my
eyes
and
hide.

Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Hi
I'm
will
I
am
one
of
the
grandchildren
of
Don
and
Betty
and
I'm
very
happy
to
be
here
tonight.
I
was
here
for
the
reopening
of
the
restoration
of
the
state,
and
so
it's
it's
very
exciting
to
be
back
kind
of
Full
Circle,
actually
performing
here.
I
didn't
even
think.
I
would
be
performing
at
that
point.
H
In
my
life,
I
was
focused
on
baseball,
but
here
I
am
and
I'm
truly
very
honored
to
be
asked
to
be
here
to
be
here
performing
in
Bay
City
and
to
be
asked
by
my
grandfather
to
be
here.
I'm,
very
humbled,
it's
very,
very
exciting.
So
thank
you
very,
very
much
for
having
me
and
thank
you
to
Kevin
Cole
for
being
so
amazing
tonight.
Putting
this
all
together
and
I
just
have
one
more
song
for
you
guys
and
then
Kevin
will
finish
it
out
for
us.
Thank
you.
G
F
E
E
E
The
piano
we
had
in
Kansas
city
was
old
and
very
heavy,
so
we
decided
to
sell
it
rather
than
pay
expensive
moving
fees
we
agreed
we'd
buy
one
after
we
moved
with
so
many
extra
expenses
related
to
the
move.
I
thought
it
would
be
several
years
before
we
could
afford
a
new
piano.
Much
to
my
surprise,
my
dear
husband
announced
one
morning
that
would
be
a
delivery
coming
to
our
house.
Sometime
that
day,
I
had
no
idea
what
to
expect.
E
E
I
had
always
wanted
a
grand
piano,
but
never
imagined
I
would
own
one
later
after
my
mom
died,
I
used
some
of
the
money.
She
left
me
to
have
the
piano,
refinished
and
rebuilt
when
we
were
looking
at
houses
to
move
to
when
we
were
leaving
The
Farmhouse.
One
of
the
first
criteria
was
a
perfect
spot
for
the
piano,
and
the
second
criteria
was
a
perfect
spot
for
the
Christmas
tree.
