Unfortunately,
we
lose
people
in
the
middle
of
the
year.
We've
lost
people
at
stanton
river
this
year,
just
like
four
off
the
top
of
our
head
before
school's
even
out,
and
when
I
look
down
the
hall
in
my
hall,
there's
six
other
people
that
aren't
coming
back
and
all
we
think
is
who's
gonna
come
in
and
how
much
do
we
have
to
train
them
and
are
they
going
to
fit
so
we
would
rather
keep
the
people
we
actually
have
because
we
love
them.
We
just
ask
you
fund
the
budget,
it's
a
good
one!
A
C
B
B
D
Hi,
thank
you
for
giving
me
an
opportunity
to
talk,
I'm
here
to
talk
about
a
portion
of
school
funds
following
the
child
in
our
community.
So
my
husband
and
I
have
five
kids.
They
are
five,
seven,
nine,
twelve
and
fourteen.
So
we
evaluate
each
year
what's
best
for
each
child.
What
grade
they're
going
into
you
know,
what's
going
to
be
most
successful
for
them,
and
so
that
looks
different
every
year.
D
Currently,
I've
got
one,
I'm
homeschooling
two
are
in
private
school
and
one
is
in
public
school
at
otter
river
last
year.
So,
for
example,
my
fifth
grade
daughter
got
moved
from
otter
river
to
forest
middle
because
of
how
the
zoning
with
covet
and
all
and
part
way
into
the
year,
I
was
looking
at
her
work.
She
was
going
into
school
and
just
kind
of
sitting
at
the
computer
the
whole
time,
and
I
decided
my
husband.
D
But
homeschooling
can
be
a
couple
hundred
thousands
of
dollars
depending
on
what
program
you're
doing
and,
of
course,
private
school
is
very
expensive.
So
not
everyone
has
that
flexibility
to
have
their
child
in
the
best
learning
environment,
for
that
particular
child
because
of
the
cost.
D
How
do
you
know
parents
are
using
the
money
appropriately
and
there's
all
kinds
of
different
systems
that
could
be
used
just
like
there's
an
hsa
account.
Health
savings
account
that
money
is
only
allowed
for
you
know
health
purposes.
There
could
be
some
sort
of
education
fund
to
ensure
that
it's
going
to
the
right
places,
but
I
just
appreciate
you
hearing
me
and
considering
letting
the
funds
follow
our
kids
and
our
community.
A
B
E
F
It
it's
all
included
in
the
annual
operating
budget.
Oh
I'm
sorry
here
go
ahead.
H
Thank
you
amanda,
so,
mr
davis,
just
to
answer
your
question
there,
like
amanda,
was
getting
to
the
operating
budget,
establishes
the
ceiling
for
the
cost
under
this
contract.
It's
a
fixed
unit,
prices
for
the
heavy
equipment
rates
and
the
stone
deliveries,
and
it's
really
intended
for
emergency
uses
or
small
items
that
are
above
internal
staff's
capabilities
and
resources.
So
yes,
it's
the
operating
budget
that
establishes
that
ceiling.
B
B
F
G
Therefore,
be
it
proclaimed
that
the
county,
the
bedford
county
board
of
supervisors,
recognizes
the
week
of
april
10th
through
april
16
2022
and
is
designated
as
national
telecommunicators
week,
in
that
all
the
residents
of
the
county
of
bedford
are
invited
to
observe
this
annual
event.
Let's
give
these
great
patriots
a
hand.
B
All
right:
next,
we
have
the
public
hearing
on
the
fiscal
year,
2022
tax
rate
ordinance.
Before
I
open
the
public
hearing
on
on
the
agenda,
I
would
like
to
explain
the
procedure
we're
going
to
follow
tonight.
Everyone
who
wishes
to
speak
should
sign
up
using
one
of
the
registration
forms
found
at
the
table
in
hall.
B
B
We
will
hear
from
everyone
who
wishes
to
speak
tonight,
so
there
will
be
no
total
time
limit,
although
I
believe
everyone
is
still
limited
to
three
minutes.
If
I'm
not
mistaken,
we
are
here
tonight
to
get
your
input.
This
is
not
a
two-way
conversation
in
this
case,
so
we're
not
going
to
debate
issues
or
answer
questions.
We
want
to
hear
from
you
on
the
tax
rate
ordinance
following
the
public
hearing
on
the
tax
rate.
F
B
B
B
G
F
I
B
I
B
B
J
A
new
title,
I
think
it's
parks
and
rec
director,
but
I
don't
know.
J
I'll
talk
to
amanda
about
that.
Thank
you,
mr
chairman.
So
what
you
have
in
front
of
you
is
the
it's
a
revision
for
the
resolution
at
the
prior
meeting.
The
prior
resolution
had
the
verbiage
was
was
not
correct
and
brwa
is
going
to
be
the
the
lead
of
the
project.
J
J
Additionally,
the
previously
approved
design
cost
of
39
800
with
hurt
and
profit
hurt
and
profit
is
one
of
the
architecture,
engineering
firms
that
brwa
has
on
retainer
and
that's
who's
been
utilized
to
to
do
the
project.
So
those
couple
minor,
reverse
revisions
and
I'd
be
happy
to
answer
any
questions
you
may
have.
J
I
F
B
And
there
was
a
second
for
mr
johnson
all
right,
so
the
motion
was
mr
tuck
second
by
mr
johnson,
mr
tuck.
Yes,
mr
davis,
yes,
mrs
parker.
C
B
H
F
B
All
right
board
comments.
G
Mr
chair,
just
just
you
know,
thinking
back
with
this
mom
shared
with
us.
You
know.
Last
year
alone
we
had
over
300
students,
leave
bedford,
county
public
schools
to
home
school
to
go
to
private
school.
G
I
know
this
year
that
the
legislature
tried
to
pass
legislation
that
would
do
just
what
she
was
asking
where
we
could
take
some
of
the
funds
and
put
them
give
them.
Let
those
funds
follow
the
student,
so
they
can
go
to
the
private
school
or
help
them
buy
curriculum,
and
I
know
that
it
passed
the
house
of
delegates,
but
the
democrats
stopped
it
in
the
senate.
G
So
I
don't
know
what
we
can
do
as
a
county.
I
don't
know
if
it's
even
possible
for
us
to
do
it,
but
I'd
like
to
get
a
consensus
of
the
board
here
to
ask
our
attorneys
to
look
into
it
and
find
out.
What
can
we
do
with
the
county
funds
in
education?
Can
we
do
this
where
we
can
help
even
a
little
bit
to
some
of
these
parents
who
are
spending
a
lot
of
money
on
curriculum,
helping
some
of
that
money
follow
the
student?
E
I
think
it's
a
great
idea,
and
on
top
of
that,
you
know
there
are
folks,
probably
who
aren't
quite
as
financially
flushed
would
like
to
to
homeschool
their
children
and
put
their
children
in
in
private
school,
and
they
don't
have
have
it
in
their
budget
for,
for
whatever
reason
it
is.
I
certainly
think
that
it
would
be
a
worthwhile
endeavor
to
have
some
of
our
county
attorney's
time
spent
and
looking
into
this.
C
B
C
E
For
the
record,
we
homeschooled
our
kids
and
I
don't
see
any
need
not
trying
to
be
disagreeable
toward
you,
john,
but
well.
B
G
K
I
think
I
can
certainly
have
a
framework
within
30
days,
maybe
not
every
single
specific
question
you
would
have,
but
I
think
within
30
days
that
would
be
reasonable
and
and
to
your
question,
mr
sharp.
I
think
this
is
a
question
of
general
applicability
to
everyone
in
the
county.
That's
pretty
much
what
you
all
do
on
every
question
for
you
obviously.
K
C
H
B
E
I've
I've
gotten
a
report
from
ronnie
sutton
in
montvale
regarding
the
montville
school
and
the
old
school,
and
it
appears
that
they're
moving
forward
very
well
they're
they're,
getting
some
groundwork
established
and
I'm
really
proud
of
what
my
folks
in
montvale
are
doing
there
and
one
other
thing
that
I
hope.
B
Attorney
report:
nothing
to
do.
Mr
chairman,
all
right
board
calendar
reminder:
we
have
a
work
session
at
five
next
monday,
a
special
called
meeting
at
seven,
any
anything
else.
All
right.
