A
Hello
and
welcome
to
lake
to
lake
a
show
about
our
beautiful
city
of
bellevue,
I'm
your
host
robin
steele
after
many
difficult
months
through
the
pandemic.
We're
especially
excited
to
be
here
in
downtown
bellevue
to
celebrate
the
return
of
some
beloved
holiday
activities
on
this
episode
of
lake
to
lake
will
share
some
of
the
events
of
the
season
of
cheer
that
make
bellevue
a
truly
magical
place
during
the
holidays.
A
B
It's
a
wonderful
show
for
the
holiday
season
that
is
free
to
the
public.
It's
outside
it's
a
long
bellevue
way,
and
is
this
combination
of
lights,
music,
falling
snow
and
wonderful,
floats
and
characters.
So
it's
this
really
touching
opportunity
to
be
together
with
family
to
see
something
really
fun
for
the
holiday
season.
It's
one
of
those
things
where
multi-generational
families
come
to
it.
Every
year
we
have
such
great
stories
about
kids
that
came
to
watch
it
and
then
became
performers
as
they
became
teenagers.
B
It
just
is
one
of
those
things
that
it
just
makes.
People
feel
really
good,
we're
so
excited
that
we
can
bring
most
of
the
show
back
last
year
we
had
to
have
a
modified
version
of
it,
and
this
year
we're
really
close
to
normal.
We
are
going
to
be
having
the
whole
float
portion
of
the
parade
back
for
the
show
which
we
weren't
able
to
do
last
year,
but
now
we've
got
the
characters
back,
as
well
as
the
beautiful
floats
and
the
lights
on
the
float.
B
B
One
of
the
things
that
we
started
a
couple
of
years
ago
is
that
santa
used
to
only
come
on
the
first
night
and
now
santa
is
in
the
parade
every
night,
which
is
great.
I
think
that
for
families
that
makes
it
easier
to
spread
out
what
night
you
want
to
go
to
it
and
it's
always
fun
for
the
kids
to
see
and
then
there's
a
boy,
there's
all
kinds
of
characters.
Some
of
my
favorites
are
the
jingle
bells
they're,
the
dancers.
Of
course
the
drummers
are
from
the
very
beginning.
B
You
know,
first
year
of
the
17
years,
we're
our
drummers
so
they're
very
iconic.
We
also
have
the
flag
patrol,
which
is
great
and
really
has
added
a
kind
of
a
new
dimension.
Over
the
last
couple
of
years,
we
still
have
our
snow
storm,
guys
that
are
kind
of
the
crazy
drummers,
so
each
parade
has
a
little
bit
different
character
in
it.
This
is
a
free
event.
It
is
for
the
community
it's
put
on
by
the
bellevue
collection
and
the
kemper
freeman
family.
So
there's
not
a
cost.
It
is.
It
starts
at
seven
every
night.
B
It
runs
from
the
day
after
thanksgiving
through
christmas
eve,
and
I
have
to
say
it's
just
about
20
minutes,
but
you
do
need
to
come
early.
That's
one
of
the
keys
for
more
information
about
snowflake
lane.
You
can
easily
go
to
snowflakelane.com.
We
have
a
fact
sheet
on
there.
If
you
have
questions
about
where
to
park
or
what
time
you
show
up.
B
Also
about
our
you
know,
safety
protocols,
of
course
we're
asking
people
to
mask
up
to
be
safe
and
and
just
come
and
have
a
great
time
so
snowflake
lane
is
in
its
17th
year,
and
I
just
can't
believe
it's
been
going
on
that
long.
It's
such
a
wonderful
event
and
it
keeps
going
on
because
people
love
it.
A
Snowflake
lane
is
such
a
wonderful
tradition.
Another
holiday
favorite
is
the
bellevue
downtown
ice
rink
at
bellevue
downtown
park
each
year.
The
pond
at
downtown
park
becomes
home
to
a
large
indoor
ice
rink
and
next
patrick
bannon
of
the
bellevue
downtown
association
explains
why
skating
at
the
rink
has
become
a
favorite
activity
of
the
season.
C
The
ice
rink
has
been
here
each
season
except
for
last
year,
but
each
season
for
24
years
so
what's
cool,
is
that
we've
had
generations
grow
up
with
the
ice
rink
and
parents
who
were
kids
and
either
learn
to
skate
or
enjoy
the
skating.
When
they
were
a
kid
or
now
I
have
their
own
kids
to
bring
to
the
ice
rink.
So
it's
it's
great
to
see
that
connection
get
made
across
the
generations.
C
C
It
takes
a
lot
of
effort
to
get
this
rink
up
and
running,
but
once
it's
here,
it's
such
a
great
amenity
throughout
the
season,
and
it
takes
super
strong
support
from
the
community
to
pull
it
off.
So
we're
grateful
to
our
our
partners,
our
presenting
sponsor
symmetra
and
the
number
of
other
supporting
partners
that
invest
time
and
energy
and
resources
to
make
this
opportunity
available
to
so
many
people
who
come
out
during
the
holiday
season.
C
Ticket
prices
for
skating
are
either
13
or
16
dollars
and
will
depend
on
the
date
that
you
choose
to
skate.
Another
excellent
option
is
a
season
pass.
You
can
buy
a
season
pass
for
99
and
that's
good
for
every
day
through
january
9th,
when
the
rink
closes
the
best
way
to
reserve
tickets
for
the
bellevue
downtown
ice.
Rink
is
to
go
online
to
bellevue
ice
rink.com
and
the
instructions
will
be
right
there
and
we'll
take
you
through
the
process
to
purchase
tickets
and
reserve
a
time
for
your
visit.
C
Rental
skates
are
included
with
the
price
of
admission.
If
you're
new
to
skating,
you
have
an
opportunity
to
take
free
skating
lessons
here
at
the
bellevue
downtown
ice
rink.
Those
skating
lessons
are
supported
by
microsoft
and
go
to
the
website
at
bellevueicering.com
and
you'll
see
the
dates
that
are
selected
for
those
free
skating.
Lessons
make
a
day
of
it
come
down
to
downtown
bellevue
enjoy
your
skating
here
at
the
ice
rink
enjoy
snowflake
lane
at
the
bellevue
collection,
enjoy
dining
and
shopping.
Everything
there
is
to
do
in
downtown
and
don't
miss
garden
delights.
A
It's
hard
to
believe
that
the
ice
rink
has
been
around
for
over
20
years.
Next,
we
highlight
a
seasonal
display,
unlike
any
other,
the
spectacular
garden
delights.
This
amazing
light
show
is
put
together
entirely
by
volunteers,
who
start
working
early
in
the
year
to
create
unique
displays
for
our
community
using
more
than
a
half
a
million
lights.
Here's
a
preview
of
this
holiday
wonderland.
D
D
The
show
takes
quite
a
while
to
put
together
the
volunteers
start
working
early
in
the
spring
planning
new
light
displays
for
the
event
they'll
start
repairing
in
the
summer
time
and
then
once
fall,
hits
they're,
ready
to
start
installation
and
the
event
itself
features
over
a
half
million
lights.
The
volunteers
put
in
in
excess
of
9
000
hours
per
year,
putting
the
event
together.
D
I
think
we
get
a
really
good
crowd
for
this
event,
because
it
doesn't
feel
like
a
large
commercial
event.
I
think
they
enjoy
the
low-key
sort
of
homespun
nature
that
this
event
has
garden
delights
features
many
different
light
displays.
There
are
some
with
more
creatures,
others
that
are
more
of
a
traditional
garden,
some
displays
with
more
critters
than
plants,
and
this
year
there
will
be.
I
can't
spill
the
beans,
but
there
will
be
some
creatures
from
the
arctic
that
will
be
on
display
here
at
garden.
Delights.
D
One
thing:
that's
fun!
For
children
coming
to
the
event
is
to
print
out
the
critter
map
at
home
and
bring
it
and
look
for
everything
on
the
map
and
check
it
off
as
you
go
through
the
garden,
because
not
everything
is
easily
found
and
it's
a
fun
little
see
can
find
we're
not
selling
tickets
at
the
gate.
You'll
want
to
go
to
our
website.
Bellevuebotanicle.Org,
look
for
the
garden
delights
page
and
buy
your
tickets
online
and
you'll
want
to
count
for
not
only
adults
in
your
party,
but
children
as
well.
