Description
Bossier City Council Meeting February 19, 2019
A
B
Let's
pray,
Holy
Father,
we're
thankful
for
another
day
that
he
allowed
us
to
see.
We
thank
you.
Lord
God,
the
wrestle.
Last
night
we
pray
father
God
for
those
who
serve
this
country,
those
who
served
a
city
we
thank
you
for
them.
We
thank
you
Lord
God,
for
your
greatness
and
we
thank
you
for
your
goodness.
We
thank
you
for
your
mercy
and
your
kindness
Lord.
We
pray
for
those
who
are
sick
and
those
who
are
being
recovered
because
of
their
sickness
Lord.

C
F
A
F
D
F
You
allowing
me
to
come
and
invite
you
to
a
special
meeting
next
week.
Some
of
you
were
able
to
participate
over
the
last
few
weeks
in
a
special
survey
that
we've
been
doing.
It's
called
D
next,
so
it's
a
company
that
has
worked
with
about
200
destinations
around
the
world
to
do
an
assessment
of
their
destination
and
look
at
you
know
what
do
we
have
to
offer
visitors
and
how
can
we
improve
that
to
increase
our
visitation
and
increase
our
revenue
that
we
receive
from
visitation
and
therefore
taxes
and
as
well
as
that?
F
What
we
do
for
visitors
improves
the
life
of
our
residents
as
well.
So
many
of
you
were
able
to
participate
in
that,
but
whether
or
not
you
have
participated,
we'd
love
for
you
to
hear
more
of
the
results
and
be
a
part
of
crafting
the
next
steps
from
this.
So
if
you
have
a
block
of
time
to
hear
kind
of
the
full
story,
it'll
be
next
Tuesday
from
8:30
a.m.
to
11:30
a.m.
so
that's
a
little
bit
long
and
you'll
hear
about
kind
of
the
trends
in
the
industry.
F
The
results
of
our
survey
do
some
little
brainstorming
and
kind
of
help
craft.
The
next
steps,
if
you
need
the
Cliff
Notes
version,
I'll,
give
you
a
special
lunch
with
the
consultant.
So
if
that
works
better
for
you
just
let
me
know
and
I'll
reach
out
to
you
and
see
what
works
best,
but
we'd
love
to
have
you
more
involved
in
that
process
and
see
where
we
go
now
from
here
to
build
a
better
destination
that
drives
more
revenue
from
our
visitors.
F
F
G
Thank
You
Council
and
mayor
and
I
just
wanted
to
come
out
and
let
y'all
know
how
a
good
a
job,
Bebel
Williams,
is
doing
as
y'all
as
a
point
team
on
the
Sports
Commission
board
and
he's
got
a
shirt
on
today
and
in
honor
of
his
state
wrestling
tournament
and
David
Montgomery
being
a
wrestler.
We
got
a
customized
singlet
made
up,
but
David
didn't
want
to
wear.
G
No,
no,
the
thing
is
tights
that
they
wear.
We
do
have
the
state
wrestling
coming
back,
this
Friday
and
Saturday
at
the
CenturyLink,
Center
and
Rebecca.
Wasn't
May
wasn't
able
to
make
it
over
from
the
CenturyLink
but
she's
getting
ready
for
the
Bossier
Chamber
dinner
tonight.
But
we
appreciate
the
partnership
and
support
again
for
our
fourth
year.
G
So
it's
really
helped
grow
wrestling
in
this
community
and
keeps
a
lot
of
our
local
folks
from
having
to
travel
down
the
high
schools
having
from
having
to
fundraise
and
come
up
with
that
five
grand
or
so
that
that
they
have
to
spend
down
south,
so
phenomenal
event
will
have.
A
press
conference
is
Thursday
at
the
CenturyLink
Center
at
2:00
and
then,
if
you
can't
make
it
out,
Friday
the
doors
open
up
at
8:00
wrestling
starts
at
9:00.
G
The
championships
will
start
Saturday
night
at
5:00,
so
we
know
I'm
Airwalk
will
be
there
and
we
love
for
y'all
all
to
be
there,
because
it's
just
a
phenomenal
event.
Ten
mats,
950
wrestlers
from
across
the
state
so
we're
seeing
each
year
more
and
more
state
champions
from
our
area.
So
I
think
it's
it's
a
great
event.
I've
also
got
the
us
boat
fishing
nationals
coming
up.
G
If
you
don't
know
what
boat
fishing
is
it's
hunters
that
like
to
fish
and
so
they'll,
be
shooting
different
types
of
trash
fish,
but
Johnny
Morris,
you
know
who
owns
the
Bass
Pro,
Shops
and
Cabela's
I
will
actually
be
personally
coming
in
for
that
first
weekend
in
April
and
they'll
be
fishing
three
different
fisheries,
so
it'd
also
be
televised.
It's
either
Outdoor
Channel
or
sportsmen
Channel,
and
so
again,
just
another
great
way
of
using
the
Red
River
and
Donnell
Evans.
G
The
local
general
managers
been
phenomenal,
as
is
Bill
and
Ashley
in
the
boardwalk
and
the
water
we
Commission
on
that.
We
also
have
the
weekend
before
that
the
kayak
bass
fishing
nationals,
which
will
be
on
Outdoor
Channel-
and
you
know,
you've-
probably
never
seen
these.
You
know
kayak
bass.
Fishing
is
huge,
we'll
have
over
800
kayaks
here
and
they'll,
be
fishing
for
over
two
hundred
thousand
dollars
in
prizes.
They're
gonna
be
able
to
use
several
different
bodies
of
water,
not
just
the
Red
River.
The
championship
will
be
on
the
red,
but
they'll
be
using
Bayou.
G
You
know
not
Cypress,
but
bite
Bayou
and
cost
lake
in
the
Red
River.
So
again,
a
great
event
and
they'll
be
here
throughout
the
week
and
the
host
there'll
be
a
trade
show
and
stuff
going
on
how
like
a
bass,
master
classic
but
that'll
be
taking
place
over
at
the
Harris
Louisiana
downs.
So
my
Christian,
those
guys
that
really
worked
it
out
to
have
that
Expo
over.
G
So
tournament
will
start
up
on
Tuesday
March,
the
fifth
run
through
Saturday
March,
the
ninth,
the
championships
I
think
being
Matt
four
and
seven
I
believe
so
again,
great
partnerships.
You
know
we're
hoping
that
this
will
really
give
BIP
see
they've
done
well,
but
that'll
take
place
over
the
gold
dome
now
I
just
want
to
introduce
Matthew
hammock
is
our
sponsorship
manager,
and
you
know
one
of
the
promises
we
made
was
not
to
just
rely
on
public
dollars.

zoning

located

So.
A
A

D
D
A
D
B
A
C
Yes,
gentlemen,
on
the
big
project
of
the
interchange
at
29
to
20
the
new
entry
in
the
board
sell
air
force
debates
a
major
event.
Today,
secretary
Wilson
came
up
and
opened
the
two
bits
for
the
project
and
the
little
bit
was
James
construction,
just
a
tad
under
84
million
dollars.
So
major
step
forward
in
that
project,
I'm
standing.
