Description
City of Boston Licensing Board - Voting Hearing - 02/17/2022
A
This
is
the
voting
meeting
before
the
licensing
board
for
the
city
of
boston.
Today
is
thursday
february
17
2022.
While
the
public
is
encouraged
to
attend,
there
will
be
no
additional
public.
Testimony
accepted
today
begin
with
the
license
premise:
inspection
hearing,
which
occurred
on
tuesday

patron
assault
in
violation
of
mass
general
laws.
B
Thanks
danny
I
from
the
testimony,
I
didn't
think
that
this
was
foreseeable
management
was
very
cooperative.
I
see
no
violation.
I
agree.
C
A
B
The
testimony
was
that
they,
it
sounded
as
if
they
had
enough
security
that
night
to
cover
the
event
that
was
going
on.
There
was
no
explanation
as
to
why
this
crowd
started.
Pushing
the
management
was
very
cooperative.
I
don't
think
that
this
was
foreseeable
in
any
way,
so
I
see
no
violation.
B
A
B
We
are
seeing
more
and
more
of
these
drugging
incidents
throughout
the
city
of
boston
that
are
connected
to
some
licensed
premises
from
the
testimony
it
wasn't
possible
for
me
to
determine
that
the
licensed
premise
was
responsible
in
any
way
for
the
victim
getting
drugged.
They
were
fully
cooperative.
I
don't
see
any
violation.
C
Yeah,
it
didn't
come
together
for
me
either
yeah
as
far
as
them
doing
anything
wrong.
I
I
didn't
see
that
I
think
I
was
convinced
enough
that
a
drug
would
probably
happen
but
connecting
it
to
the
premises,
no
violation.
B
Danny
just
out
of
an
abundance
of
being
overly-
I
guess
not
even
cautious,
but
I
would
just
like
to
send
to
this
particular
licensee.
Just
because
it's
happened
on
the
license
premise:
another
copy
of
our
advisory
on
the
drugging
so
that
they
can
ensure
that
their
staff
and
management
are
properly
trained
for
to
look
for
the
signs
for
such
a
thing
and
that
they
have
proper
notices
up
in
the
license.
A
Premise:
okay,
so
no
violation
but
resend
them
the
board's
advisory
and
the
boston
police
advisory
on
that
place.
Absolutely

B
Okay,
just
want
to
check
my
notes.
What
was
concerning
to
me
here
was
that
that
subwoofer
was
there
for
several
days.
It
wasn't
like
they
were
just
moving
it
in
and
out
so.
For
that
reason
I
know
there
was
new
staff
and
the
manager
was
out
of
the
country.
However,
that
was
blocking
the
exit
for
several
days.
I
see
a
violation
yeah.
She
couldn't
confirm
when
it
was
put
there,
so
we
would
have
to
measure
that
against.
A
B
While
it
is
a
serious
public
safety
issue,
I'm
not
concerned
that
people
weren't
going
to
be
able
to
get
around
it,
so
my
vote
would
be
to
send
written
correspondence
from
the
board,
reminding
them
of
their
responsibilities,
with
keeping
those
exits.
Clear,
yeah,
okay,.
A
Great
violation

written
correspondence

B
I
think
this
is
a
situation
with
the
weather
that
night
somebody
who
was
working
made
the
decision
to
allow
people
to
stay
stand
inside
to
be
warm.
It
sounds
like
they
could.
Their
stated
capacity
on
their
certificate
of
occupancy
states
a
number
that,
but
it
could
be
larger
because
they're
now
working
with
an
architect
to
have
that
number
changed.
B
I
don't
think
it
was
egregious
my
so
I
see
no
violation.
I
would
just
send
correspondence.

B
I
would
think
on
any
night,
given
that
this
was
the
night
before
thanksgiving
and
one
of
them
was
new
and
I
don't
think
was
foreseeable
to
see
that
this
new
person
would
let
people
in
the
back
door
so
and
they
are
working
with
isd
and
architect
to
get
two
different
capacities,
one
for
when
they're
not
serving
dinner
and
one
for
when
they
are
serving
dinner,
which
to
me
states
that
this
place
could
have
properly
held
this
many
people.
So
I
again,
I
don't
see
a
violation
here.
B
I
would
vote
for
written
correspondence
and
ask
them
to
send
us
a
copy
of
the
architecture
drawings
when
they
get
the
new
isd
stuff.
C
B
A
B
Based
upon
the
testimony,
I
would
vote
for
nobel
violation.
I
would.
I
would
strongly
urge
the
licensed
premise
to
not
put
the
christmas
trees
in
the
spots
they
put
in
last
year.
At
no
time
was
it
impossible
for
people
to
get
out,
because
there
are
so
many
exits,
so
I
would
vote
for
no
violation
and
correspondence
from
the
board.
C
I
agree,
I
think,
that's
good,
can
we
they
stated.
I
just
want
to
make
sure
we
integrated
that
they're
not
going
to
lock
the
revolving
door
great.
