From YouTube: Game of the Week: BNBL Girls 13 & Under Championship - Southie Swishers vs. Showstoppers
Description
We kick off the BNBL Championships with the Girls 13 & Under Finals, when the Southie Swishers take on the defending champion Showstoppers at UMass Boston's Clark Athletic Center.
A
Hello,
boss,
scented
welcome
to
the
Courtney
Athletic
Center
at
UMass
Boston.
As
you
bring
you
the
2019
girls
bmbl
championships.
We
kick
off
the
night
tonight
with
the
13
other
provision,
as
the
southeast
wishers
take
on
the
showstoppers
everybody
I'm
Pat
Larry
drove
on
my
partner,
as
always
Allen
flat
in
Allen,
once
again
with
the
B
NBA
championship
second
year
at
UMass,
great
venue
for
the
championship
game
and
once
again
it's
the
showstoppers
in
the
final.
C
B
Lot
on
in
with
the
program
pretty
much
a
safe
future
cell
because
girls,
they
see
the
success
with
if
they're
in
the
neighborhood,
oh
I've
had
the
opportunity
to
jump
on
practices
that
Clinton's
very
big
on
practice
in
so
family
commitments.
Well
sure
it's
the
young
ladies,
so
he's
been
successful
with
that.
Like
I
said
if
this
beats
itself
and
at
the
success
shows
in
things
like
be
MBR
and
other
local
recreation.
D
If
you've
been
following
the
bmbl
for
the
last
decade,
or
so
on
the
women's
side,
you
know
how
good
the
showstoppers
are
and
how
good
they
can
be.
On
the
other
side,
this
southeast
wishers
team
they're
here
for
the
first
time
a
group
that
played
out
in
West
Roxbury
but
they're
from
Southie
they're,
very
loose
head
coach,
Bobby
Pierce's.
It's
been
a
fun
season.
The
girls
have
been
able
to
learn
how
to
play
together,
after
not
really
playing
together
in
the
past,
playing
at
CY
O's
and
elementary
schools
they're
very
loose.
D
But
the
one
question
is:
how
do
they
perform
on
such
a
large
venue
couple,
the
girls
Milwaukee
and
couldn't
we're
so
surprised
at
how
large
this
gym
is
being?
Should
you
see
how
they
handle
the
nerves,
one
player
to
watch
Alexis
back
arthas,
the
teens
point
guard
she's
gonna
have
to
have
a
good
game
against
this
showstopper
squad.
Pat
said.
A

A
A
C
B
B
A
Definitely
warmed
up
well
as
right.
Now
it's
an
11
all
run
for
the
showstoppers
folks.
You
want
to
follow
us
on
Facebook
and
go
to
facebook.com
slash
game
of
the
week
boss
and
a
lot
of
good
stuff
up
on
that
Facebook
page.
You
can
also
follow
us
on
Twitter
at
Boston,
City
TV,
and
if
you
want
to
tweet
at
us,
use
the
hashtag
boston
g,
o
w.
A
B
B
B
C
B
A
B
13
them
there's
usually
that
age,
where
there's
some
bureaus
they're
just
deciding
to
play
some
basketball.
Others
have
been
playing
since
they
were
a
lot
younger
and
decided
to
focus
on
it
as
a
matter
of
fact
yeah
they
can't
it's
just
20,
nothing,
a
chance.
They
can't
pressure,
can't
press
after
down
20
points
of
you
up
to.
A
A
B
G
A
A
A
B
Of
lightning
impression
we
never
gave
up.
We
talked
about
that
range
to
him
outside
right.
That's
right!
It
was
a
storm
in
here
for
us
five
minutes
was
it
was
clinic.
The
clinic
is
just
like
you
have
in
an
in
practice.
Layup
drill.
That's
right
all
starts
with
the
full-court
pressure.
A
good
defensive
position
include
your
crit
aggressiveness
and
obviously
a
point
you
made
was.
It
was
important.
I
said
you
enter
at
the
Taco.
Bell
house
shows
the
southeast
wishers
just
aren't
used
to
this
atmosphere.
That's
right.
A
A
D
By
sadly,
Swisher's
coach,
Bobby,
Pierce
coach,
obviously
a
little
bit
of
a
slow
start,
but
you
have
to
like
what
you
saw
a
little
bit
later
on
in
the
half.
You
got
that
first
shot
your
first
basket.
First
trip
to
the
free-throw
line.
It
seems,
like
the
girls,
have
kind
of
found
their
way
into
this
game,
a
little
bit
more
as
the
games
gone
along.
They.
H
D
Coaching
staff
has
really
preached
the
bounce
pass.
We
saw
a
little
bit
more
of
that.
You
guys
have
been
a
little
bit
more
aggressive
rebound.
The
ball
got
that
first
offensive
rebound.
How
much
of
that
is
stuff.
They
know
it's
just
kind
of
the,
not
just
the
opponent,
but
also
the
the
setting
on
this
big
college
gym.
H
It
might
be,
but
I
think
they're
kind
of
used
to
getting
the
rebound
because
they're
bigger
and
today
they're
not
so
it's
not
gonna
be
about
athletic
ability
or
just
height.
It's
gonna
be
about
working
for
a
rebound
boxing
out
and
so
far
we
haven't
done
as
much
as
we'd
like
we'll
see.
If
we
can
do
it
in
the
second
half
coach.
A
B
B
On
West
Ross
pray
had
smaller
teams,
smaller
players
and
probably
a
lot
of
11
and
12
year
olds,
mixed
in
with
some
Thirteen's,
and
so
this
Swisher's
team
was
probably
the
biggest
team
out
there
for
the
rebound,
because
when
we
watch
them
warm
up,
they
actually
had
every
couple
rebounding
drills
right,
it's
a
sort
of
reinforce
what
they've
been
successful
with
all
summer.
But
yeah,
like
you
say
when
you
start
mixing
the
different
sites,
you
get
anything
you
don't
know
what
to
expect
and
that's
why
coach
Pierce
admitted
the
first
thing.
B
You
said
our
girls
are
shops,
that's
right
at
the
speed
and
athletic
ability,
and
so
you
test
and
when
you
shock,
like
that,
your
step
behind.
Well,
you
those
other
teams
that
step
a
hit
before
you
know
it
steal,
layup,
steal,
layup
turnover,
jump,
shot,
31,
2,
3,
we've
seen
this
a
few
times
in
the
past,
the
bmbl
championship.
Camden,
it
happens,
it
just
gets
done
and
it's
just
a
matter
of
okay.
B
A
See
well,
we
shall
see
I
mean
they
did
get
that
first
basket
in
that
first
free,
throw
so
we'll
see
if
that
can
springboard
things
here
in
the
second
half
of
the
southeast
Swisher's.
They
are
losing
right
now
to
the
showstoppers
here
at
the
girls
15
and
13,
and
under
rather
be
and
BL
Championships.
We're
gonna
take
a
look
at
the
halftime
stats.
Now
before
we
get
going
here
in
the
second
half
and
first
up,
it's
gonna,
be
the
southeast
Swisher.
Well,.
B
That
last
was
last
couple
minutes
to
the
half
they
were
able
to
get
their
first
hoop
rock
operas,
got
their
offensive,
rebound
and
a
putback
and
then
Lombards,
and
it
drops
the
basket
that
fouled
May
1
two
free-throws
a
couple
of
rebounds
one,
miss
Cheerilee,
went
to
pierce
and
no
assists
yet
like
I
said
that
there
one
basket
was
on
an
offensive
rebound.
Let's.
B
To
spread
things
around,
as
they
usually
do,
when
you
see
seven
point
six
points,
so
the
rebounds
three
and
two
with
al
Paisley
on
post,
then
some
assists
at
the
bottom.
That
was
probably
the
best
part
of
the
first
half
five
assists
between
Williams
and
reigns,
and
most
of
those
were
after
turnovers
or
all
forced
steals
from
the
showstoppers.
Then
beautiful
passes
either
bounce
passes
and
chess
passes
to
give
teammates
easy
layups.
A
B
She's
one
of
the
big
girls
and
just
like
coach
Murphy,
has
proposed
the
swishes
were
saying:
they're
not
used
to
playing
against
big
girls,
but
not
only
is
she
big,
but
she
can
move.
Obviously,
I
still
left
him
to
drive
this.
You
stop
and
pop
from
the
deep
wing
get
some
a
nice
rim
hit
that
one
to
fall
so
size
and
willingness
to
play
within
a
system
makes
all
difference
in
the
world.
If
we
saw
coach,
Lassiter
play
all
those
girls
and
that
first
half
and
the
show
will
see
this
same
thing.
This
has
just.
A
B
A
A
B
A
B
B
B
Thinking
about
Morris
thenen
wherever
she
ends
up
going
to
middle
school,
have
a
feeling
I'll
see
her
in
the
middle
school
champion
a
couple
of
years
right.
That's.
E
C
E
B
A
C
C
C
B
A
A
B
A
A
B
Know
that
you,
you
have
some
some
12
year
olds
on
this
team.
You
know
who
are
gonna,
obviously
feel
bad
about
this
experience
tonight.
But
that's
your
right.
You
can
use
that
as
basic
motivation
in
terms
of
your
workouts,
in
terms
of
trying
to
get
your
that
your
friends
to
play
together
during
the
course
of
season
see.
B
B
Pressure
steals,
you
know,
knock
aways
layups,
oh
you're,
right,
that's
that's
the
formula.
You
start.
You
always
see
a
coach's
top
top
ball.
Well,
let's
play
defense
defense.
First.
That
was
really
defense.
First,
because
the
the
steals
the
turnovers
turned
into
lay
up
so
easily.
Before
you
know
it's
15,
nothing
yeah
you
had
you
had
the
girls
from
Southie
Swisher's.
Unfortunately
they
just
shocked
and
they
then
you
start
making
it's
not
hesitating.
B
That's
the
worst
thing
you
can
do
against
a
team
to
so
aggressive
and
luckily,
once
it
gets
to
be
20
a
20-point
game,
you
have
to
take
off
the
full-court
pressure.
Southeast
pushes
get
into
a
little
bit
more
of
a
daze
to
quit.
Making
shots
couldn't
get
any
really
good,
looks
and
then
most
of
their
points.
Most
one
came
from
offensive.
Rebounds.
That's.
M
E
G
So
there
you
are
shuffling
through
a
stack
of
resumes
and
you
come
to
mind
this.
Is
it
first
impression
my
way
in,
but
can
my
resume
show
you
how
I
truly
stand
out
like
that
I
was
studying
going
to
night
school,
while
working
two
jobs
just
to
help
my
parents
pay
for
groceries
or
being
the
first
one
to
always
step
up?
No,
that's
something!
You
just
can't
put
on
paper,
look
beyond
the
resume
and
discover
new
ways
to
develop
great
talent
that
is
dedicated,
hardworking
and
determined.
Like
me.
G
M
You
want
to
retire
like
a
champ,
just
like
legendary
basketball,
star
uncle
drew
you're
already
he's
in
the
game.
You've
got
your
dream:
ride,
don't
be
slamming
a
door.
You
just
gotta,
get
the
boys,
your
tree
vacation
and
your
dream
team,
and
now
you
can
make
a
retirement
just
as
legendary
I
keep
bugs
at
the
tips.
We
need
to
get
on
track
at
AC,
retirement,
org.
F
M
J
I
A
Folks,
welcome
back
to
the
Clark
center
at
UMass,
Boston
inclusion
of
the
girls
13
and
under
beat
and
BL
championship.
The
showstoppers
took
down
the
southeast
Swisher's
47
to
7,
and
a
lot
of
players
had
great
games
tonight
here
for
the
showstoppers,
but
shale
Morris
team
really
had
a
great
all-around
game.
We
saw
her
some
highlights
over
in
the
in
the
first
after
the
first
half
and
she
really
did
everything.
That's.
B
Real,
like
you
said,
all-around,
it's
like
she
rebounded
in
the
beginning.
She
was
literally
the
bat
the
end
of
the
full-court
pressure,
rebounded
blocked
the
shot,
but
I
think
a
rebounding
and
passing
up
court
really
got
them
going
and
no
first
few
layups
they
were
able
to
get.
She
was
either
part
of
it
from
the
defensive
end
or
the
rebound
or
the
assist.
That's.
A
D
Won
by
Kyle,
Morris,
Tina
and
Clinton
Lassiter
are
the
showstoppers
Kyle
just
13
years
old,
but
you
look
so
poised
and
calm
on
the
floor
at
all
times.
How
much
does
it
help
having
that
trust
and
faith
in
your
teammates?
You
guys
play
together
a
lot
tour
in
the
year,
but
also
maybe
just
the
fact
that
you
have
that
much
trust
in
your
own
game.
I
mean.
K
D
Guys
played
with
the
15
and
unders
because
you
didn't
have
a
13
under
at
your
site.
How
much
do
you
think
that
helps
your
game
as
a
13
year
old,
obviously,
you're
always
working
to
get
better
to
play
against
bigger
and
better
competition
this
summer,
that
kind
of
helped
you
improve
as
a
player
I
mean.
D
Did
not
show
today
you
had
a
great
game.
Congratulations
we'll
bring
in
coach
coach.
You
started
in
2007,
you
haven't
lost
since,
at
the
1,300
level,
24
percent
of
the
championships
in
the
history
of
bmbl,
assuming
there's
always
been
a
13
under
girls,
go
to
the
showstoppers.
What
did
what
does
this
one
mean
and
what
is
that
line
of
victories
mean
to
the
showstoppers
to
yourself.
O
Well,
it
means
a
lot
because,
obviously
you
guys
think
the
families
that
trust
in
the
program
and
then
the
kids,
the
kids
work
hard
year-round
so
they'd
like
they
want
to
get
better
and
they
take
pride
in
that
because
he's
defending
the
championship.
So
it's
good
every
year
is
a
different
challenge
and
I
think
this
was
another
exciting
year.
In
his
own
capacity.
You.
D
Guys
went
11
d
today
and
all
11
players
can
show
their
abilities
I
mean
even
if
you're
not
getting
as
many
minutes
as
maybe
you'd
want.
How
did
how
does
it
help
when
you
have
that
much
depth
and
that
much
skill
where
you're
not
really
wearing
about
I
need
to
get
this
player
on
the
floor?
To
make
sure
my
team's
gonna
go
I
think.
O
That's
a
part
of
program
philosophy
like
there's
no
I
in
team,
so
everyone
had
to
buy
and
contribute
to
some
capacity
and,
as
kayo
said
over
the
course
of
the
season,
they
got
to
trust
one
another.
No
one,
that's
a
little
bit
more.
They
play
and
a
like
some
5th
grade's,
all
the
way
to
7
for
8th
grade.
So
they
got
to
sort
of
get
the
poise
and
get
familiar
one
other
so
I
think
that
belief
and
one
another
help
with
the.
D
O
A
Very
much
Taft
and
certainly
coach
Lassiter
used
to
be
in
the
winner's
circle
and
they
the
NBL
championships.
But,
as
you
know,
his
player
mentioned-
and
he
mentioned
you
know
a
lot
of
girls
love
to
share
the
ball
and
it's
a
commitment-
and
he
mentioned
it
before-
to
spend
it
not
just
for
the
kids
but
for
the
families
as
well.
Exactly.
B
And
then
it's
fun
I
mean
last
one
make
does
make
it
fun
some
of
his
practices.
He
has
drills
that
there's
a
lot
of
shooting
involved
a
lot
of
it
handling
the
ball,
all
the
players,
the
big
players
in
it,
as
well
as
the
guards
so
because
of
that
it
makes
it
interesting.
It's
easy
to
stay
involved,
just
easy
stay
committed.
That's.
B
B
A
little
more
balanced
spread,
Elk,
Austin
and
barstein
or
player
of
the
game,
both
of
them
with
nine
points.
Coppa,
five
rebounds
talks
with
four
rebounds
and
then
Williams
five
assists
range.
Three
assists
so
pretty
much
what
we
expected
from
the
showstoppers
to
start
with
defense,
they
finished
with
good
offense
and
the
game
we
like,
like
you
said
earlier,
