Today,
the
city
of
boston
filed
a
civil
complaint
against
massachusetts.
Gaming
commission
in
connection
with
the
commission's
award
of
the
category
1
gaming,
license
to
the
win
for
the
development
of
the
resort
casino
in
everett
and
in
boston.
We
have
been
working
diligently
with
the
wynn
folks
to
negotiate
a
fair
agreement
that
benefits
the
people
of
boston.
However,
we
have
been
unable
to
reach
a
consensus
that
accurately
represents
the
impacts
to
the
city,
to
protect
the
people
of
boston
and
ensure
the
safety
of
our
neighborhoods.

The
challenge
is
pertained
to
the
gaming
commission's
actions
that
involve
the
city
at
the
hearing
that
was
held
back
in
may
of
this
past
year,
in
which
the
gaming
commission
determined
that
the
city
was
a
surrounding
community
and
not
a
host
community.
In
addition,
we've
challenged
the
ruling
of
the
gaming
commission
stripping
that
status
from
the
city
of
boston
as
a
way
in
which
it
could
clear
the
path
to
award
the
license
to
win.
