A
Boston
is
one
of
67
cities
now
participating
in
an
international
global
network
of
100
resilient
cities,
which
really
provides
the
city
and
everyone
within
it,
not
just
city
government,
which
is
why
there
are
so
many
stakeholders
here
the
opportunity
to
examine
not
only
vulnerability
and
responses
to
acute
shocks,
but
also
to
the
stresses
that
weaken
the
fabric
of
the
city
and
exacerbate
the
impact
of
those
acute
shocks
on
the
city.

C
Imagine
boston
2030
is
an
incredible
opportunity
for
us
to
master
plan
and
envision
what
our
city
is
going
to
look
like
in
2030,
2040
and
2050..
The
one
thing
that
we
don't
want
to
leave
behind
are
the
difficult
conversations
that
we've
been
avoiding
for
the
last
40
years.
Now
is
the
time
to
have
those
difficult
conversations.
So
as
we
move
forward
in
the
master
planning
for
20,
30,
40
and
50,
the
future
generations
won't
have
to
have
these
conversations
and
we'll
be
reading
in
the
history
books.
