Description
New England Patriots Parade Press Conference 2017
A
Wonder
why
first
of
all,
I
want
to
just
thank
everyone
for
coming
today.
Certainly
there's
a
lot
of
excitement
in
New
England
today
with
the
Patriots
victory.
We
want
to
first
of
all
congratulate
you,
know:
Bob
Kraft,
Bill,
Belichick
and
four-time
MVP,
quarterback,
Tom
Brady
and
the
entire
team
for
an
incredible
game
last
night.
Obviously
don't
to
recap
it
but
I'm,
coming
down
from
25
points.
A
Breaking
all
kinds
of
records
is
just
an
incredible
incredible
feat
here,
so
we
certainly
have
what
I
think
I
would
say
is
the
the
greatest
football
franchise
NFL
history,
along
with
the
greatest
coach
of
it,
a
coach
in
the
NFL,
along
with
the
greatest
quarterback
of
a
plane,
and
it
felt
so
I.
Certainly
they
made
Boston
and
New
England
proud.
Yesterday,
last
night
we
had
a
celebrations
around
the
city
in
a
couple.
A
Different
areas
and
I
want
to
make
a
special
thank
you
to
the
Boston
Police
Department,
the
Boston
Fire
Department
EMS,
who
kept
our
city
safe
and
our
fans
taste,
and
also
all
the
other
help.
We
got
some
other
agencies
outside
the
city
of
Boston
that
helped
us
last
night
with
with
crowd
control
the
parade.
As
you
knows,
when
be
eleven
o'clock
tomorrow,
leaving
from
the
Hinds,
we
are
getting
some
questions
on.
Why
we're
having
the
parade
tomorrow?
Why
don't
we
wait
for
wednesday
when
it's
better
weather?
A
Quite
honestly,
the
bottom
line
answer
is
because
of
the
players.
A
lot
of
the
players
take
off.
They
come
in
today
they
go
to
foxpro
tonight
they
start
to
pack
up
their
lockers
they've
been
playing
football
now,
some
of
them
for
6-8
months
and
they
leave
town
wednesday.
So
it's
dead,
their
vacation
starts
wednesday,
so
we
wouldn't
have
the
amount
of
players
that
we
would
have.
Otherwise,
if
we
didn't
do
the
parade
tomorrow,
so
we
are
going
to
be
doing
the
parade
tomorrow.
A
The
route
is
going
to
go
from
boylston
street
to
Copley
Square,
the
trem
on
left
on
tremont
to
City
Hall
plaza.
As
you
know,
the
weather
tomorrow
is
going
to
be
snow,
mixing
with
sleet
changing
terrain.
So
right,
when
the
parade
starts,
a
believer
in
ten
o'clock
was
supposed
to
getting
snow
and,
as
the
parade
see
before
the
parade
starts,
starts
snowing
when
the
parade
starts
the
snow
drains
of
sleet
and
serene
some
wind.
So
we're
asking
people
to
dress
appropriately
for
the
weather,
wear
waterproof
clothes.
A
If
you
can
just
to
be
safe
when
you're
out
there
watching
the
parade,
we're
asking
the
fans
to
behave
responsibly,
work
with
our
public
safety
officials,
listen
to
them.
We're
going
to
make
sure
that
in
certain
areas
that
it's
safe
for
fans,
we
want
people
pushing
and
crowding
in
certain
areas.
We
want
to
put
anyone
at
risk.
We
are
going
to
have
commissioned
we'll
talk
a
little
bit
about
this.
A
We
have
a
plan
for
getting
in
and
out
of
town
safely,
so
folks
will
be,
will
have
to
pay
attention
and
I
know
one
last
night,
11
woman
tweeted
at
me
about
a
fenway
area.
How
come
she
couldn't
drive
through
there,
but
we
were
very
clear
on
it.
The
day
before
this
two
days
before
Super
Bowl,
certain
talk
to
the
city
will
be
shut
down.
So
you
will
not
it's
smart
to
take
public
transportation,
we're
asking
fans
that
come
in
to
watch
the
watch,
the
parade,
don't
don't
drive
in
take
public
transportation.
It'll
be
easy.
A
If
you
get
in
and
out
of
town
by
taking
public
transportation
into
the
city,
there's
no
public
drinking
at
all
zero
tolerance.
There
is
no
smoking.
No
smoking
marijuana,
zero
tolerance
out
there
we're
asking
people
is.
This
is
going
to
turn
into
a
somewhat
of
a
family
day.
A
lot
of
young
people
going
to
be
out
there.
I
want
to
set
positive
examples.
We're
asking
people
do
not
climb
on
structures.
Do
not
climb
on
statues
did
not
climb
on
electrical
boxes,
do
not
climb
up
on
on
posts
and
street
street
lights,
or
anything
like
that.
A
If
you
do,
the
police
will
take
appropriate
action
again.
It's
for
your
own
safety
and
you
put
a
lot
of
people
in
harm's
way
by
doing
things
like
that,
and
they
did
last
night.
For
the
most
part,
people
I
kept
all
their
excitement
under
control.
So
we
want
to
just
make
sure
this
is
a
very
positive
feel
we
want.
We
want
people
to
enjoy
and
welcome
to
the
Patriots
back
to
our
city
and
congratulate
them
on
their
five
Super
Bowl
victories.
A
Obviously
this
is
probably
one
of
the
biggest
ever
all
big,
as
Tom
Brady
said
last
night,
but
this
is
one
of
the
biggest
ones,
because
we
said
a
lot
of
history
here
last
night,
but
doing
we
did
so
I
want
two
people
to
enjoy
themselves
and
I
I'm,
going
to
turn
the
microphone
all
and
have
Commissioner
Evans
talk
a
little
bit
about
safety
and
when
I
have
commissioned
shafie
and
dr.
talk
a
little
bit
about
traffic
and
then
we'll
take
questions.
Whatever
questions
are
out,
there.
B
Thanks
mister
man
I'll
also
want
to
congratulate
the
Patriots.
That
was
a
great
win
in
the
craft
family.
You
know
we
had
a
good
celebration.
Last
night
we
had
thousands
of
college
kids
who
came
out
of
the
dawn's
they
all
headed
to
the
Boston
Common
and
for
the
most
part
they
they
we
couldn't
have
been
happier.
B
We
had
no
issues
left
last
night,
I
thought
the
plan
we
had
was
a
good
plan
and
it
worked
exactly
like
we
hoped
and
that's
what
we're
hoping
for
tomorrow
and
we
just
I
just
left
a
meeting
with
all
the
into
all.
The
other
government
and
private
patent
is
to
talk
about
our
plan
tomorrow
and
again
tomorrow.
It's
all
about
again
Public
Safety,
making
sure
nobody
gets
hurt
out
there,
and
everyone
has
a
great
day.
You
know,
obviously
with
such
crowds.
You
know
we'll
have
a
lot
of
offices
undercover
inside
the
cloud.
You
know.
B
Obviously
it's
a
different
world.
We
ask
the
public
if
they
come,
the
less
luggage,
the
less
backpacks
and
in
articles
of
clothing
or
whatnot
that
might
draw
suspicion
to
leave
them
at
home.
The
best
you
can,
but
we'll
have
plenty
of
uniformed
officers
out
there
and
we'll
be
out
there
early
I
think
you
know
we're
looking
at
probably
a
9am
closing
of
the
route
right
now
and,
and
that
would
be
from
the
area
or
Herefords
street.
B
All
the
way
down
to
you
know
down
Boylston
all
the
way
to
trema
left
on
Tremont
up
to
City,
Hall,
plaza
all
the
way
down
to
New
chatting
streets.
So
again,
we've
done
this
many
times
the
mayor's
talked
about
some
of
the
issues
we
had
in
the
past
and
again,
zero
tolerance
for
the
drinking
we've
had
a
lot
of
young
kids
come
into
the
city
and
we've
had
issues
around
public
drinking
in
past
parades
we've
had
some
accidents
regarding
people
climbing
on
MBTA
shelters,
climbing
every
flagpole.
B
So
we
wanted
to
scholars
that
type
of
behavior
and
again
it's
going
to
be
a
great
day
and
weather.
As
he
said,
it's
going
to
be
cold
I
just
instructed
on
my
offices
to
make
sure
they
they
they
obviously
dress
in
layers.
They
have
their
main
pants.
It's
going
to
be
a
long
day.
They
have
their
boots
and
so
but
we're
ready
we
get
up.
We
want
to
see
a
great
day
in
the
city
and
you
know
again
very
much
like
we
had
last
night
a
great
day
for
celebrating
the
fifth
championship
by
the
Patriots.
B
C
So
as
soon
as
you
got
the
word
from
the
mayor
last
night
that
we
would
be
having
an
event
on
tuesday,
our
crews
are
out
there
last
night
posting
all
of
these
signs,
so
they'll
be
clearly
posted,
big
red
boston,
police,
tow
zone
signs.
We
really
encourage
everyone
to
just
leave
the
car
home.
Take
public
transportation
enjoy
the
parade.
C
If
you
do
get
towed,
it
will
be
towed
by
the
Transportation
Department
until
we
get
our
tow
lot
at
frontage
road,
but
this
is
really
all
about
the
parade
and
the
victory
for
the
Patriots
for
a
home
team.
It's
a
family-friendly
event.
So
really
leave
your
car
home,
take
advantage
of
public
transportation.
The
parade
starts
after
the
morning
commute,
so
you
should
have
no
problem
getting
in
here
for
the
parade
start
and
we
really
want
everyone
to
just
enjoy
the
day.
Thank
you.
Any.
D
A
Hard
to
say,
I
mean
I
think
that
the
biggest
parade,
I
think
was
the
bruins
ring
roughly
usually
to
you,
know,
500,000
to
a
million
people
come
in,
obviously
with
the
with
the
fifth
super
bowl
in
the
way
that
the
dramatic
fashion
the
game
ended,
certainly
will
might
add
to
this
game.
The
crowded
is,
I
mean,
I
don't
think
you
know
starting
the
third
quarter,
a
lot
of
people,
weren't
feeling
really
positive
about
the
game,
and
I
wasn't
really
focused
on
having
a
parade,
but
certainly
is
the
game
1
on
things
change.
So
I.
C
A
The
problem
is,
you
won't,
you
will
have
duck
boats
and
no
players
and
I
think
that
that's
one
of
the
problems
I
mean
their
contracts.
That
I
think
that
contracts
obligated
to
wednesday.
I
think
it
is
so
you
just
don't
have
that
opportunity.
I
mean,
I
think
that
you
know.
Maybe
these
players
don't
let
the
home
is
boston
during
the
season.
Their
home
is
somewhere
else
in
the
offseason.
A
You
know,
even
in
the
interviews
last
night,
some
of
the
players
are
talking
about
going
away
with
their
family,
so
they
make
arrangements
and
plans
just
like
we
would
on
a
holiday.
You
know,
because
in
some
ways
is
a
quick
turn
around
somebody's
plays
a
back
in
camp
in
a
few
months
and
son
to
son
to
do
the
football
again.
We.
A
It's
the
same,
pretty
much
the
same
as
what
happened
seattle.
We
do
I
think
Seattle.
We
show
under
a
little
bit
because
of
the
snow.
If
you
remember
correctly
back,
then
we
had
ten
feet
of
snow
and
and
we
have,
we
have
changed.
The
Commissioner
is
snow.
Fine.
We
have
changed
a
little
bit
security.
You
know
we
had.
We
had
horses
and
barricades
at
different
intersections
in
the
past.
A
We
won't
know
afterwards,
some
of
them
a
lot
of
the
money
we
raised
roughly
four
hundred
thousand
dollars.
Private
donations,
private
contributions,
so
those
those
donors
will
be
sponsoring
the
banner.
So
all
of
the
all
of
the
the
the
barrack,
the
barricades
on
the
street
and
all
that
is
a
company
coming
and
doing
it,
they'll
be
all
pray
privately.
D
B
We're
not
going
to
be
out
there
searching
will
you
know,
like
I,
said,
we'll
have
a
lot
of
officers
out
there
who
have
trained
in
looking
at
the
right.
You
know
recognition
of
someone
who
might
be
carrying
the
bomb,
but
with
the
cloud
you
have,
and
obviously
the
family
and
people
having
a
big
bring
a
lot
of
stuff.
It's
going
to
be
difficult,
but
we'll
be
out
there
and
I'm
not
going
to
prohibit
it
because
there's
no
way
we
can
do
that,
but
I
just
asked
for
the
public's
cooperation.
B
We
did
that
we
do
it
a
July.
Fourth,
we
do
it.
The
marathon
and
everybody's
been
very
cooperative,
so
the
left
and
if
they
do
bring
a
bag,
please
don't
leave
it
unattended
because
that
only
creates
fear
for
people.
So
you
know
it's
a
huge
crowd.
It's
it's
quite
an
undertaking,
but
you
know
I'm
looking
forward
to
a
great
day.
B
B
Know
I
said
yesterday,
and
you
know
the
tough
spot
of
our
job
is
last
night.
You
know
we
were
doing
roll
call
during
the
game
and
a
lot
of
our
guys
never
really
get
to
watch
such
a
great
game,
and
you
know
we'll
be
out
there
in
full
force
tomorrow
to
again
making
sure
people
have
a
great
day.
But
you
know
it's:
it's
always
tough
to
five
min
about
their.
A
Each
other
guys
right
right,
Mary
call
now
I
wanna
grab
police
officer.
That's
as
always.
We
talk
about
that.
So
if
you
see
something
that
doesn't
seem
right,
I
just
W
police
presence
today,
I
grab
somebody
and
just
notify
them
just
to
be
safe,
rather
take
bath,
err
on
the
side
of
caution
and
did
not.
A
Know
I
mean
I,
guess
that's
individually
up
to
quality
school
in
the
city,
128,
so
I'll
provide
you
with
that
number
foo.
I
think
that
some
of
the
parents.
Obviously
I
would
suggest
that
parents
who
talk
to
the
kids
and
decide
make
a
decision
in
their
family.
It
means
clearly
if
a
school
child
doesn't
go
to
school
tomorrow,
they're
going
to
be
marked
absent
because
they
won't
be
in
school
tomorrow.
A
Well,
you
know
first
I
dig
all
of
us
if
I
speak
for
the
whole
city,
you
know
first
kuwata
uneventful
for
the
most
part,
defensive
struggle.
Second
quarter
shocked
with
the
you
know,
a
couple
of
turnovers
and
you
know,
Atlanta
moving
up
going
into
halftime
felt
pretty
positive,
still
didn't
feel
that
I
thought
we
could
come
back.
I
went
upstairs
and
I
changed.
My
t-shirt,
my
sweatshirt
and
my
hair
changed
everything
up.
The
Hat
old
al
came
back
down.
You
know
Patriots
Court
sale
in
had
the
ball
before
the
first
possession.
A
It
was
great
great
three
and
out
we
went
three-and-out
and
then
we
got
the
touchdown
and
then
we
missed
the
extra
point.
So
it
kind
of
it
kind
of
felt
that
that
that
almond
was
going
to
happen
again
when
Matt
Ryan
completed
took
a
35-yard
pass
over
the
middle
of
field.
That's
when
I
started
they
going
out.
It's
not
going
to
be
good
because
Jones
Jones
made
a
couple.
A
Catches
on
the
sideline
was
just
ridiculous
and
I
thought
we
were
going
to
be
in
trouble,
but
once
we
got
once
we
won
Sibley
at
the
ball
back
down
by
two
touchdowns
like
it
felt
that
we
could
pull
it
back
and
you
could
see
in
Tom
Brady's
eyes.
His
eyes
are
different,
as
I
has
changed,
his
laser
focused
and
once
they
tied
up.
I
did
I
no
no
doubt
we're
going
to
win
the
game.
We
just
felt
that
they
there,
the
defense
on
the
ropes
and
they
they
they
knock
them
out.
This.
A
Last
night
I
won
the
news
stations.
They
were
just
showing
people
I'm
celebrating.
Jumping
up.
Madonna
is
just
as
far
as
far
as
all
the
televisions.
Oh
I
was
at
the
86
Celtic,
so
it's
pretty
cool
I'm
Boylston
Street
when
I
regretted
the
trophies
going
down
the
street
as
I
was
probably
I'm,
definitely
afraid.
I
went
to
outside
of
being
proud
of
last
year's
those
pretty
fun
in
86
watching
celtics.
I
do
not
blow
the
street
with
it
with
the
trophy.
D
A
I
don't
know
I'm
not
doing.
That's
not
me.
I
just
want
to
make
sure
at
this
point
now.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
as
many
people
want
to
enjoy
themselves
and
enjoy
themselves
and
that
everyone
enjoys
himself
in
a
safe
manner.
That's
my
whole.
My
whole
roll
now
I
mean
I'm.
If
we
have
a
pray,
don't
I'm
afraid
I'm
really
not
concerned
about
it,
but
people
want
to
parade
I.
A
Think
it's
important
that
if
we
people
have
a
good
celebration
and
make
the
city
proud,
when
Commissioner
Evans
call
me
last
night
at
one-thirty
to
tell
me
that
you
know
every
was
breaking
up
and
we
had
zero
arrests
and
zero
incidences.
I
thought
that
was
a
great
a
great
message
for
Boston
to
send
around
to
what
some
of
the
celebrations
have
turned
into
around
the
country.
We
didn't
have
one
arrest
last
night
and
it
was
I
just
thought
it
was
a
great
way.
