The day before Chara played in his 1,500th game in the NHL, diehard Bruins fan Mayor Walsh stopped by the Warrior Ice Arena practice facility in Brighton to congratulate him. History is made at George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park! For the first time since its inception in 1903, the Mass Amateur Golf Championship was held at municipal golf courses, with rounds being played at both William J. Devine Golf Course in Franklin Park and George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park. Mayor Walsh joined Mass Golf Executive Director Jesse Menachem and Mass Golf President Bunk Reed, to present the trophy to the tournament winner on the final day of match play.
