A
We
move
on
to
the
agenda
items
I'd
like
to
acknowledge
our
new
hybrid
meeting
format.
The
city
of
bothell
is
now
providing
the
option
of
attending
council
meetings
remotely
or
in
person.
Public
comment
will
be
allowed,
both
in
writing
or
verbally
verbal
comments
may
be
taken
either
in
person
or
remotely
sign
up
sheets
were
provided
online
by
the
city
clerk's
office
via
link
from
the
agenda.
A
The
video
of
this
meeting
will
be
streamed,
live
as
well
as
recorded
and
available
for
later
viewing
on
the
city's
youtube
channel.
A
call-in
number
was
provided
on
the
meeting
agenda
for
members
of
the
public
who
wish
to
call
in
by
phone
to
listen,
live
to
the
meeting.
If
you
have
called
in,
we
ask
that
you
meet
your
device
so
as
to
not
interfere
with
the
meeting.
If
a
participant
fails
to
mute
their
connection
and
causes
a
disruption
to
the
meeting,
the
connection
will
be
terminated
for
our
phone
and
callers
during
staff.
A
Presentations
staff
will
make
every
effort
to
specify
which
materials
they're
referencing,
so
everyone
can
follow
along
all
members
of
the
city
council
are
present,
and
next
I'd
like
to
reiterate
some
meeting
guidelines
for
all
room.
Well,
I
guess
nobody's
attending
the
meeting
remotely.
So
we
don't
need
to
say
that
is
that
correct.
A
A
There
are
not
moving
on
to
visitor
comment.
The
city
has
accepted
visitor
comment
and
writing
as
well
as
accepted
sign
up
sheets
for
those
who
wish
to
speak
at
tonight's
meeting.
Written
comments
submitted
to
the
city
clerk
no
later
than
3
pm
today
were
forwarded
to
all
city
council
members
and
are
part
of
the
record
clerk.
Do
we
have
anybody
signed
up
to
speak.
B
Thank
you
mayor.
Yes,
we
do.
We
have
two
written
comments
that
we've
received
prior
to
tonight's
meeting,
that'll
be
made
for
the
record.
The
first
one
was
received
from
andrew
nelson,
who
wrote
thanking
the
city
staff
for
the
fourth
of
july
parade
and
second,
we
received
a
comment
from
sue
whitcomb
who
wrote
regarding
priorities
for
the
candidate
selection
of
the
council
applicants
and
then,
lastly,
we
do
have
joan
harkin
here
who
has
requested
to
speak,
live
to
council
hi
joan
if
you
want
to
come
up
joanne
sorry,
my
bad.
C
C
C
C
B
If
there's
anybody
in
the
audience,
I
don't
see
that
we
have
any
attendees,
so
I
don't
believe
we
have
anyone
in
the
virtual
audience
either.
That's
here
to
speak
right.
A
A
It's
fine
we're
working
the
kinks
out
it's
okay.
Next
up
is
executive
session
pursuant
to
rcw
4230
110
1h,
to
evaluate
the
qualifications
of
candidates
for
appointment
to
elective
office,
anticipated
to
last
one
hour
and
50
minutes.
Action
is
then
expected
in
open
session.
It
is
606
we
will
come
back.
Mr
mayor.
D
Yes,
so
the
anticipated
to
last
one
hour
and
50
minutes.
That
was,
I
believe,
a
staff
suggestion
based
on
the
number
of
applicants
that
we
received
and
an
estimate
as
to
how
long
each
the
council
would
like
to
discuss
each
candidate,
because
we
have
not
spoken
about
this
publicly
about
what
the
process
is.
D
A
That
is
a
really
good
idea
paul.
What
do
you
guys
think
an
hour
start
out
with
and
then
we
can
come
extend
and
we'll
probably
have
a
good
idea
for
how
much
time
we'll
need.
I
was
thinking.
45
sounds
great.
