A
B
Good
evening,
everyone
thank
you
for
joining
our
September
28
2022
special
Board
of
Education
meeting
I'd
like
to
ask
everyone
to
please
rise
for
the
pledge
foreign.
B
Kathy,
do
we
have
any
questions
from
the
public?
Okay,
b1a
order
of
business.
Emotion
would
be
in
order
to
adopt
the
resolution
as
follows:
be
resolved
that
the
Board
of
Education
hereby
suspends
the
order
of
business
for
this
meeting
and
this
meeting
only
according
to
policy
2350
I
need
a
motion.
Motion
by
Julia
Burgos
I
need
a
second
second.
B
Abstention
so
moved
items
for
information.
Only
the
following
policies.
Regulations
are
being
presented
to
the
board
of
education
for
information,
only
policy,
6240,
Investments
6415

banking
and
wire
transfers
policy,
6600,
fiscal
accounting
and
Reporting
policy,
6750
use
of
the
District
Credit
Card
policy,
8332
use
of
district-owned

g1a
public
comment,
members
of
the
public
who
would
like
to
address
the
Board
of
Education
may
do
so
by
completing
a
comment
form
provided
on
the
night
of
the
meeting.
A
total
of
three
minutes
shall
be
allotted
per
comment.
A
C
We
did
not
prepare
what's
happenings,
but
I
could
certainly
add
lib
if
you'd
like
for
a
couple
of
minutes.
You
know
I
think
the
district
knows
that
my
motto
for
this
year
is
a
district
on
the
Move
yeah
and
we
certainly
are
I
want
to
thank
all
of
the
staff.
Members
and
I
mean
all
of
the
staff
members
they've
been
terrific
in
every
single
Department
who
have
helped
with
the
opening
of
school.
I
think
this
has
been
an
outstanding
September.
C
So
I
again
would
like
to
extend
my
gratitude
to
everyone
who
has
pitched
in
and
I
suspect
that
this
year
is
going
to
be
our
best
one
of
our
best
in
quite
a
number
of
years.
We're
looking
forward
to
the
board
and
I
are
looking
forward
to
our
meeting
next
week
on
October
6th.
That
is
a
workshop
at
that
Workshop,
one
of
the
items
that
we
are
going
to
be
presenting
to
the
school
community.
So
it
really
is
worth
it
if
you
could
come
on
out
and
they.
C
The
item
that
we'll
really
be
focusing
on
are
all
of
the
capital
Improvement
projects
that
we've
really
began
to
undertake
about
two
years
ago,
well
straight
through
the
summer.
So
we'd
like
you
to
bring
you
up
to
speed
as
to
to
what
has
been
accomplished,
what
we're
currently
doing
the
projects
that
we're
currently
working
on
and
we'll
also
touch
base
on
a
few
of
the
future
projects.
That
will
be
that
we'll
be
touching
on
so
I'm
really
excited
about
the
workshop
coming
up
in
October
and.
C
You
thank
you.
Yes,
it'll
be
7
P.M
right
here,
we'll
also.
Obviously
it
will
be
televised
as
well.
So
you'll
have
that
opportunity
to
take
a
look
on
our
website
and
get
a
link
but
yeah
that
one
is
we're
excited
to
actually
have
an
opportunity
in
one
focused
and
dedicated
meeting
to
go
over
all
of
the
wonderful
things
that
we've
accomplished
over
the
last
few
years.
B
B
Also
wanted
that
we
will
turning
on
our
chat
feature
for
the
public
session
of
the
board
meeting.
B
Your
questions
are
important
to
us
and
we
just
really
want
to
afford
you
all
the
opportunity
to
feel
like
you're
here
with
us
when
you
cannot
be
so
that'll,
be
on
October
20th
public
session
meeting
at
8pm,
we'll
probably
send
out
some
details
on
the
parameters
of
how
that
first
attempt
will
be,
and
if
it
works
it
works.
If
not,
we'll
continue
to
fine
tune.
It.
C
I
did
want
to
say
one
more
thing:
Miss
Felix
and
that
we
we
actually
have
a
special
meeting
this
evening
to
it
to
adopt
the
district
safety
plan.
That's
why
Dr
Leone
is
here.
He
obviously
he
and
Miss
McRae.
The
director
of
security
gave
an
excellent
presentation
exactly
30
days
ago,
I
believe
or
right
about,
and
so
we're
required
as
a
district
to
then
adopt
that
safety
plan.
C
30
days
after
the
presentation,
the
Public
Presentation
to
the
Cub
to
the
public,
and
that's
why
Dr
Leone
is
here
to
answer
any
questions
that
may
have
arose
from
that
presentation
and
I
guess:
Miss
hoey
we
don't
have
any
questions.
C
Yes,
for
that
right
we
did,
we
did
approve
it,
that's
actually
why
we
have
a
public
meeting.
Dr
Leone.
Do
you
have
anything
you
want
to
add
to
it?
Have
you
heard
any
comments.
D
The
commentary
I've
heard
has
been
positive
and
we're
pleased
that
the
board
approves.
A
C
Correct
yeah,
absolutely
and
also
the
district
safety
plan
is
published
on
the
website,
so
you
can
access
that.
It's
pretty
comprehensive.
You
know,
Dr
Leone
just
mentioned
the
human
trafficking.
That
obviously
gives
you
an
idea
as
to
really
all
the
components
that
are
touched
on
in
the
safety
plan.
I
just
again,
I
go
through
it
fairly.
C
Frequently
elopement
is
one
of
the
also
one
of
the
topics
is
really
a
whole
host
of
topics
that,
if
you're
interested
in
I'm
sure
every
parent
is
just
spend
a
few
moments
and
take
a
look
at
the
safety
plan,
because
also
you
know
we'd
love
to
hear
from
the
public.
If
there
are
any
adjustments
to
it.
You
know
we'd
like
to
hear.
B
Yeah
I
believe
we
went
over
this
at
the
August
meeting.
Was
it
yes,
the
August
meeting
we
presented
Dr,
Leoni
and
Mr
McRae
both
presented
for
those
viewers
who
aren't
here
with
us
and
were
unaware.
We
did
present
back
in
August
and
as
Mr
loshner
said,
and
Miss
Julia
Burgos.
We
have
30
days
to
approve
the
plan
and
that's
why
we
are
here
this
evening.
B
B
Yeah
we're
looking
forward
to
having
a
great
Community
turnout
on
October
6th,
but
we
promise
to
have
an
engaging
workshop
for
the
community.
We
want
to
share
with
you
all
the
wonderful
things
that
Miss
O'connor
and
the
district
have
put
in
place
as
far
as
the
construction
buildings
and
grounds.
We
really
really
want
to
highlight
the
good
work
that
has
been
happening
and
is
continuing
to
happen
here
in
the
district.
It
benefits
all
of
us,
our
community,
our
students,
our
staff
and
we'll
be
honoring.
Some.
