Description
A recording of the Brigade Community Meeting on 2022-01-18
A
Hello:
everyone
welcome
to
the
january
18th
2022
occurrence
of
the
brigade
community
meeting
and
I'm
going
to
share
today's
agenda
and
we
will
get
started.
A
A
A
A
A
A
The
last
remaining
thing
was
the
v2
compatible
costi,
which
really
just
started
as
a
thing
to
keep
me
from
getting
bored
during
the
break,
and
fortunately
I
have
you
know
it
shifted
to
the
back
burner
once
we
came
back
from
break,
but
I
have
fortunately
been
able
to
find
enough
time
to
work
on
it
here
and
there
that
it's
coming
along
at
an
unexpectedly
quick
pace,
so
I'm
not
making
any
promises
on
when
that's
going
to
be
delivered,
but
it
will
be
not
in
the
distant
future.
A
So
that's
really
all
there
was
on
the
agenda
for
today.
So
I
will
end
my
screen
share.
I
apologize
for
the
barking
dog
in
the
background.
B
Nice
yeah,
so
I
have
a.
I
have
a
quick
question.
I
took
a
look
through
the
brigade
court
org
and
I
noticed
that
we
still
have
a
few
repos
where
we
need
to
change
the
branch
from
master
to
main,
and
I'm
wondering.
Is
there
a
overall
issue
with
the
checklist
that
I
didn't
see,
or
is
that
something
that
we're
just
kind
of
catching
up
with
as
catch
can
or
for
some
of
these,
like
they
haven't,
been
touched
in
literally
years
so
like?
B
Are
there
maybe
some
repos
under
the
brigade
court
org
that
you
were
planning
on
archiving
and
that's
why
they
haven't
been
updated
yeah?
I
was
just
kind
of
wondering
what
the
status
of
that
transition
is.
A
Yeah,
so
that's
a
great
question
so,
as
we
were
doing
v2,
we
changed
the
branch,
the
the
we
changed,
the
primary
branch
from
master
to
maine
on
anything
that
we
touched,
and
I
think
we've
updated
it
as
well
on
a
number
of
let's
say
prominent
legacy,
v1
repos.
That
perhaps
were
not
touched.
A
A
I
think
that
when
the
support
window
on
v1
expires,
we'll
have
a
lot
of
things
like
v1
demo,
code
and
stuff
like
that.
That
will
expire
until
that
point
happens,
I'm
a
little
bit
reluctant
to
make
the
change
on
certain
repositories,
because
v1
did
make
some
assumptions
if
I'm
not
mistaken,
about
the
primary
branch
being
named
master.
So
if
I
were
to
go
look
at
a
repository
that,
for
instance,
was
like
v1
demo
code
and
I
changed
the
primary
branch
from
master
to
main
it
might
break
things
so.
B
A
A
little
bit
reluctant
to
do
that
in
certain
cases,
but
what
I
will
do
is
I'll
I'll
commit
to
taking
a
quick
look
through
all
repos
and
seeing
which
ones
haven't
been
cut
over
yet
from
master
to
main,
and
if
I
see
any
that
where
we
can
safely
make
that
change,
I
will
go
ahead
and
do
that
because
it's
it's
not
difficult
to
do
it's
it's
only
in
certain
cases
where
I
think
we
have
to
avoid
it.
B
C
B
C
A
To
if
you
want
to
play
with
it,
it's
under
my
github
account
currently
so
crankcore
slash
kashti
tng,
so
some
of
us
are
laughing
right
now,
so
this
is
obviously
tng
stands
for
the
next
generation.
A
Probably
not
everybody
is
aware,
but
some
members
of
the
brigade
team
developed
a
habit
of
watching
episodes
of
star
trek.
The
next
generation
together
on
lunch
breaks,
and
so
it
seemed
fitting
that
the
next
version
of
kashti
might
or
the
prototype
for
the
next
version
might
in
the
interim,
be
called
kashti
tng.
A
A
A
B
I
don't
think
it
we
had
a
chance
to
chat
about
it
at
the
last
community
call,
but
you
started
your
video
series.
I
wonder
if
you
want
to
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
that.
A
Yeah,
hey,
that's
a
great
thing!
Thank
you.
Yes,
we
did
start
posting
to
our
youtube
channel
where
these
community
meetings
also
get
posted.
We
have
started
posting
a
series
called
brigade
in
five
minutes.
I've
only
recorded
one
so
far.
It
takes
surprise,
surprise
a
lot
more
than
five
minutes
to
create
a
five
minute,
video.
A
In
fact,
it
would
have
taken
less
time
to
create
a
longer
video,
because
the
the
real
difficulty
is
in
the
the
you
know
in
managing
the
time.
So
actually,
I
think
the
first
episode
came
out
to
seven
minutes,
so
I
I
asked
viewers
to
you
know:
please
overlook
and
enjoy
the
bonus
two
minutes
so
yeah.
I
I
don't
know
what
kind
of
schedule
we'll
be
doing
those
on
it.
A
They
they
might
come
out
just
as
time
permits,
because
it
really
does
suck
up
a
whole
day
or
more
sometimes
to
create
one
of
those
videos,
but
hopefully
we'll
have
more
of
those
coming
out
soon.
I
think
one
particular
topic
that
I'm
really
gung-ho
on
doing
is
the
third-party
authentication
so
demonstrating
how
you
can
set
up
brigade
to
allow
your
users
to
log
in
using
azure,
active
directory
or
google
cloud
identity
or
github
or
really
anything
that
supports
openid
connect.
A
C
A
Fantastic,
I'm
never
gonna,
say
no
to
people
who
are
volunteering
to
create
content
and,
and
actually
speaking
of
that,
karen-
and
I
also
had
a
meeting
last
week
with
one
of
the
technical
writers
from
the
azure
kubernetes
service
team,
who
is
trying
to
expand
his
role
to
involve
technical
writing
for
some
open
source
projects,
particular
see
particularly
cncf
projects,
and
he
asked
if
brigade
couldn't,
use
a
little
help
and
we
agreed
because
you
know
what,
like
I
said,
I'm
never
gonna
say
no
to
anybody
who's
volunteering
to
do
anything.
A
So
so
that's
we.
We
might
get
some
help
with
the
docs
pretty
soon.
C
B
A
Yes,
yes,
so
we
did
not
have
a
blog
post
about
the
new
video
series,
so
we
will
do
that
and,
as
you
suggested
bridget
yeah
we
will.
It
will
be
a
call
for
content
from
others.
Give
some
guidelines,
for
you
know
here's
what
we're
looking
to
see
if
you
would
like
to
do
one
of
these
great
idea.
E
A
Oh
vaughn,
I
didn't
realize
you
were
here
it's
because
you
showed
up
as
a
caterpillar
or
something.
E
Sorry,
what
was
the
question
a
short
link
to
yeah?
Do
we
have
a
quick
link
to
the
youtube
channel
for
brigade
yeah
youtube.brigade.sh
works
awesome.
Thank
you.
A
Yeah,
I
have
recently
discovered
how
easy
azure
front
door
is
for
creating
really
cool
little
sub
domains
that
just
point
off
to
someplace
else.
A
All
right,
so
it
sounds
like
that's
it,
so
we've
got
plenty
of
stuff
that
we
can
work
on
for
the
next
two
weeks
and
again.
I
think
we
talked
about
this
very
briefly
at
the
last
occurrence
of
this
meeting,
but
it's
possible
at
some
point
that
we
will
reschedule
these
in
order
to
pick
up
people
from
additional
time
zones.
I
know
that
we
have
people
in
brazil
and
australia
who
are
interested
in
attending.
A
So,
of
course,
if
it
does
move,
we
will
advertise
that
to
to
a
sufficient
extent
that
people
get
word.
