The past two years have been challenging for us all. Now that restrictions have eased and we are slowly settling into our new lifestyles, it may be a bit overwhelming to think about life going back to normal. So let’s talk about it!

Introducing: a brand new podcast called the Reality Shake-Up!

In collaboration with our community members, we’ve created a podcast that explores everyday topics that we’re all dealing with, whether that’s navigating the world of work during a pandemic, managing your own mental health and more.

Episode one is all about money. Our young hosts Rebecca and Kano chat with the fabulous Dr Jozica Kutin on how young people can learn to better manage their finances. Now that the shops and borders are opening up again, how can we enjoy ourselves in the present while also planning for the future? Tune in now to find out!

Jozica completed her PhD in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT and has a Masters in Forensic Psychology from Monash University. Her research focusses on (preventing) economic abuse in young adult relationships, and development of relationship-based financial capabilities and financial wellbeing. Jozica has worked across industry and community organisations developing or evaluating financial abuse and financial capability resources.

Also, don’t forget to check out You, Me and Money, a website that Jozica worked on to help young people manage money in relationships: https://www.youmemoney.org.au/
