Thank
You
mr.
mayor,
just
let
me
say
briefly:
I
certainly
appreciate
the
board
of
aldermen
and
the
mayor,
giving
me
a
chance
here.
I,
just
and
I
will
take,
but
a
minute
of
your
time
here.
But
let
me
just
tell
for
folks
that
that
I
had
not
met
and
I
met
a
lot
of
people
the
last
week
and
very
glad
to
do
so.
But,
like
the
mayor
said,
my
name
is
Matt

meyer.
I
grew
up
in
burke,

15
or
16
years.
The
I've
been
here
for
a
week
and
I'll
just
tell
you
them
my
first
week
here.
It
is
easy
for
me
to
see
when
Black
Mountain
is
a
great
place
to
live
at
work
I.
This
is
a
strong
community
as
passionate
of
public
is
dedicated
of
staff
and
is
committed
of
a
board
as
any
community.

I
Thank
you,
Mary
bored
I
just
want
to
give
a
very
brief
report
on
happenings
of
town
square.
If
you
driven
by
it
lately
you'll
notice,
it
looks
a
little
different
on
the
east
end.
We
had
a
group
of
10
volunteers
show
up
on
saturday
morning
in
heat
and
we
painted
parking
blocks
and
place
them
so
that
made
it
easier
for
people
to
park
there.
It
was
interesting
that,
just
after
everybody
left,
we
were
done,
I
was
prepared
to
leave
myself.
I
I
was
up
in
the
upper
parking
lot
and
I
can
see
cars
already
beginning
to
file
in
and
pick
up
places
apartment
by
the
time.
I
left
three
people
had
parked
in
there
and
came
back
about
an
hour
later,
and
there
were
another
half
a
dozen
or
dozen
cars
in
there.
So
it
really
is
making
it
easier
for
people
to
park
down
on
them
in
so
it
really
kudos
to
the
people
that
came
and
helped
us.
It
was
a
blast.
The
grass
is
doing
very
well.
I
We
were
up
there
on
the
fourth
of
July
evening
for
the
fireworks
the
place
was
packed.
There
were
kids
running
all
over
the
grass.
Having
a
blast,
it
was
a
great
place
for
the
parents
to
be
with
their
children.
Fireworks
were
great,
the
town
did,
a
wonderful
job
is
childer.
John
apart,
you
are
doing
a
great
job,
putting
them
on,
and
it's.
I
I
A
J
J
We
did
a
assessment
of
Lake
Tahoe
area
with
the
trees
we
had
some
dangerous
limbs
and
trees
situations
down
there
that
that,
thanks
to
jamie
in
the
public
services,
part
we've
and
the
leadership
repair,
ward,
all
I,
one
of
the
harvest
with
on
our
Commission
we've
got
rid
of
these
dangerous
limbs
and
five
dead
trees,
which
was
a
good
thing
altogether.
Would
we
did
an
insecticide
treatment
of
all?
The
unlock
suffers
from
the
willing
of
that
Delta

the
town's
right
away,
big
job.
We
got
it
done
thanks
for
Jamie,
again
Eric
and
Bob.

Maple

orchard
assessment:
we
have
a
maple
tree,
part
gentlemanly.
It's
a
on
sunset
right
next
to
wendys,
go
by
and
look
at
it.
Sometimes
you
can
see
if
you
want
to
plan
a
maple
tree
in
your
yard.
You
can
see
several
varieties
baked,
treats
the

from
we're,
always
thinking
one

of
those
removed
and

assessment
is
we're
even
involved
with
green
waste
recommendations.
J
Are
it
follows
I
could
throw
out
a
few
recommendations,
one
dead
tree
to
pee
reboot,
brush
olives
and
Japanese,
not
reach
and
be
clear
down
or
may
pose
a
threat
to
native
trees
and
shrubs
future
signage
of
Maine
trees
along
the
path
would
be
a
great
addition
to
the
future.
We're
thinking
about
putting
some.
B
J
Along
the
green
waste
talking
about
the
value
of
our
trees,
apple

orchard
assessment.
We
have
an
apple
trees
that
we
planted
for
the
Black
Mountain
primary
school.
They
need
a
little
mulch
that
they
are
stable
and
producing
fruit.
Those
are
good
at
the
community
garden
greenways
assess
pedal.
We
have
an
edible
orchard
that
we're
helping
them.
We
trees
form
down
there
to
put
in
landscaping
along
the
Greenway
and
medicinal
tree
garden
all
in
progress.
J
This
is
like
I,
said
UFC
that
stands
for
urban
forestry
commission
of
it
to
donate
five
hundred
dollar
maximum
toward
the
purchase
of
medicinal
trees,
fallen,

supposed
to

the
cost
was
295
dollars
and

We
are
making
this
a
tree

H
I
had
one
thing:
I
want
to
talk
about
now:
I've
got
to
all
of
a
sudden
I've
got
to,
and
that
is
out
number
one.
I
noticed
their
meetings
almost
over
and
it's
not
quite
630
I've
been
here
for
sit
for
six
meetings,
and
this
hadn't
happened
that
you
would
have
told
me
you
was
going
to
this
I'm
I.
Don't
want
to
stop
I
realize
that
no
no
I
want
to
say
to
you
tonight:
I
want
to
save
the
board
and
Mayor.
H
Thank
you
so
much
for
giving
me
the
opportunity
to
come
back
and
thank
you
to
all
of
staff.
You've
been
absolutely
great.
The
mayor
and
board
has
been
great
staffs
been
great.
The
citizens
of
the
town
of
Black
Mountain
have
been
absolutely
great
to
work
with.
This
has
been
a
great
experience
in
my
life,
and
my
life,
wouldn't
would
not
have
been
the
same.
If
I
had
not
have
had
this
opportunity,
I
didn't
realize.
H
That's
coming
in
but
I
I
say
that
tonight
it's
been
a
wonderful
wonderful
experience
for
me
and
I
just
think
everyone
that
welcomed
me
back
after
being
retired
for
a
long
long
time
that
welcomed
me
back
with
open
arms
and
I
appreciate
it.
So
much
I
was
walking
in
the
night
with
the
lane
and
we
were
talking
and
she
said
well,
I
guess
you're
going
to
have
to
get
used
to
being
retired
again
and
I
guess
I
am
and
that's
not
all
bad
either,
but
thank
you
so
much,
but
the
opportunity
I've
enjoyed
it.
H
You've
got
a
great
guy
coming
along
my
thanks
to
the
board
and
mayor
in
your
choice
for
a
new
manager,
Matt
and
I
worked
together
last
week
and
today
and
there's
no
doubt
in
my
mind,
he's
going
to
be
absolutely
great
fit
for
the
town
of
Black,
Mountain
and
good
things
to
come
for
the
town
and
thanks.
Thank
you
so
much
here.
