From YouTube: Town Meeting 10/1/21
Description
The first Town Meeting of the school year is short and sweet. It features a welcome, September students of the week, and information about a yearlong, schoolwide art/mindfulness project from Ms. Sami.
B
B
It
has
been
so
good
to
see
all
of
you
and
to
see
your
smiling
faces
back
filling
the
hallways,
the
laughter
in
the
classrooms
and
the
joy
of
playing
together
and
learning
together
this
year
we
will
be
continuing
our
virtual
town
meeting
format.
However,
this
year
town
meeting
will
happen
once
a
month.
We
will
also
have
some
in-person
all
school
gatherings,
sprinkled
in
throughout
the
year,
so
I'm
really
looking
forward
to
those
town
meetings
coming
together
as
a
community.
So
look
forward
to
hearing
more
about
those.
B
B
We're
really
excited
about
a
project
that
will
be
happening
school-wide
for
the
entire
year,
which
is
our
sticky
note
project
which
you
will
be
hearing
about
in
just
a
little
bit.
So
it
is
great
to
be
back
together
with
you.
I
am
looking
forward
to
you
celebrating,
are
learning
with
all
of
you
and
sharing
together
as
a
community
virtually
so
next
up.
We
have
our
very
own,
miss
sami
wayne.
Who
is
going
to
help
us
kick
off
our
sticky
note
project
that
will
be
a
whole
school
art
project
continuing
throughout
the
year.
C
And
now
it's
time
for
student
of
the
week,
hello,
principal
robinson
here
just
wanted
to
pop
in
to
congratulate
all
of
our
students
of
the
week
for
the
month
of
september
this
month,
we're
highlighting
our
students
of
the
week
showing
the
ability
to
learn
our
rural
rules,
our
classroom,
routines,
learning
about
grade
levels,
expectations
in
math,
literacy,
science,
social
studies
in
the
arts,
helping
one
another
and
being
kind
to
others.
Congratulations
again
to
each
of
you
for
helping
us
set
the
tone
for
having
a
great
school
year.
Congratulations
again!
A
A
Hello
iaa,
I'm
miss
sammy,
your
school
social
worker.
You
might
have
seen
me
stopping
by
classrooms
to
pick
up
students
or
walking
in
the
hallways.
You
may
have
even
attended
a
group
or
lunch
bunch
with
me
today.
I
am
here
to
introduce
you
to
a
school-wide
art
project
we
will
be
doing
throughout
the
year
and
the
artist
that
inspired
the
project.
A
A
She
has
given
talks
all
around
the
country
about
how
art
can
be
used
to
protest
inequality
and
bring
about
change.
Her
work
focuses
particularly
on
people
of
color,
the
lgbtq
plus
community
and
women
she's
founded
her
own
business
and
also
works
with
youtube
and
harvard
pretty
cool.
Ultimately,
dee
wants
to
bring
about
positive
change
and
hope
to
our
world,
and
that
is
where
our
project
comes
in
dee
created
a
project
called
sticky
note
to
self
where
she
used.
You
guessed,
it
sticky
notes
to
talk
about
various
topics.
A
A
A
Nowadays,
a
personal
mantra
is
also
defined
as
a
repeated
saying
to
motivate
or
inspire
you.
Some
examples
may
be
doris,
just
keep
swimming
in
finding
nemo
or
the
meme
keep
calm
and
carry
on.
You
will
get
to
think
about
what
is
a
positive
and
kind
mantra.
That
means
something
to
you,
then
you
will
get
to
put
that
mantra
down
onto
a
sticky
note.
Your
mantra
can
be
a
phrase,
a
word
or
a
picture.
A
B
Wow,
thank
you
miss
sammy
for
that
fabulous
presentation.
Let's
give
her
some
snaps.
I
can't
wait
to
fill
out
my
sticky
note
with
my
mantra
as
to
how
I
am
going
to
move
forward
in
the
days
to
come,
and
I
am
so
excited
to
move
forward
in
this
adventure
with
all
of
you
and
come
together
as
a
community,
sometimes
together
and
sometimes
virtually,
but
let's
make
it
a
great
year
happy
to
see
all
of
you.
Thanks
for
coming
to
friday,
town
meeting.
