A
Developing
mathematical
thinking
provides
teachers
with
an
approach
for
the
way
they
think
about
their
mathematical
practices
and
how
to
really
build
those
practices
in
the
classroom.
Because
of
this
training,
there
was
a
30
average
increase
in
achievement
per
year.
Over
the
last
four
years
at
Van,
Buren,
Elementary
School,
surpassing
State
scores.
We've.

The
statistics
classes
that
I
teach
we
try
to
kind
of
do
the
practice
now
and
formalize
later
so
looking
at
something
experiencing
it,
and
so
we
go
through
there's
a
lot
of
graphs
and
tables
and
charts
and
stuff.
We
do
and
experiment
things
and
then
we
go
through
and
formalize
what
it
is.
We've
learned.
A
We
are
so
grateful
for
our
staff
here
in
the
Caldwell
school
district,
for
going
above
and
beyond,
for
our
students.
Now
this
week
was
also
Computer
Science
Education
week,
students
in
Dr
Pharaoh's
class
at
Syringa
middle
school,
held
a
coding
dance
party
to
celebrate
National
hour
of
code.
This
Global
movement
is
now
in
over
180
countries.
The
hour
of
code
is
a
short
introduction
to
computer
science
using
fun
tutorials
to
show
that
anyone
can
learn
the
basics.
