Description
Hear from Ann Ford Deputy Chief Inspector and other CQC colleagues as they feedback the key themes coming out of their breakout room discussions.
B
Okay,
well,
thank
you
very
much,
colleagues
for
what
was,
and
certainly
in
my
group,
a
very
challenging
and
interesting
discussion.
So
if
we
can
go
around
colleagues
now
and
ask
for
the
three
key
points
in
the
feedback
to
help
the
discussion,
that'll
be
really
good.
So,
can
I
ask
you
to
how
many
groups
did
we
have
steph.
B
Sorry
can
I,
while
we're
waiting,
can
I
ask
victoria
to
feedback
from
our
group
victoria
and
it
could?
It
could
certainly
start
the
discussion.
I.
C
Certainly
much
thanks,
so
we
had,
I
think,
across
both
questions.
We
had
some
really
really
good
conversations.
C
The
first
point
we
talked
about
was
in
terms
of
question
one:
the
focus
on
the
governance
to
to
focus
on
quality,
so
how
we
will
look
at
the
governance
within
an
ics
as
part
of
this
framework
had
some
really
good
conversations
about
the
need
to
focus
on
digital.
So
we
talked
about
the
challenges
in
terms
of
digital
and
then
how
will
cqc
focus
on
that
going
forwards
and
talking
about
the
need
for
the
enablement
of
transfer
of
care,
those
problems
in
terms
of
inoperability?
C
We
also
talked
about
cutting
out
white
noise,
so,
where
we
know
something
is
good,
do
we
need
to
read
a
lot
of
information
so
thinking
about
inspection
reports?
Do
we
need
to
read
lots
of
narrative
about
it?
Should
we
actually
be
focusing
much
more
on
what
is
what
is
really
good?
What
may
be
outstanding
and
then
the
need
to
have
everybody
around
the
table
so
not
just
having
the
same
conversations
with
the
same
key
nhs
leaders
and
making
sure
that
we're
inclusive
of
everybody
around
the
table
going
forward.
C
So
I'm
not
sure
how
well
I've
summarized
that,
and
but
we
did
have
some
really
useful
conversations
about
all
of
those
topics
and
particularly
the
where
we're
looking
at
ics's
and
local
authorities
and
the
connection
between
both
and
we
had
some
points
raised
about.
Can
we
look
at
them
all
together?
C
B
Okay,
victoria
thanks
very
much
is
there
anybody
from
room
two
would
like
to
give
just
an
overview
of
the
discussion.
They
had
please
and
put
some
meat
on
the
bones
of
the
points
about
the
clear
framework,
the
evidence
and
the
accessing
pathways,
because
that
sound
looks
like
a
really
good
and
rich
conversation
too.
Would
anybody
like
to
add
to
that.
B
No
okay.
So,
just
to
summarize,
then
anybody
from
room
four
like
to
feedback
colleagues
in
room
four
about
the
data.
This
is
obviously.
D
And
bear
with
me
my
system
is
not
playing
games.
I
think
we
had
a
wide-ranging
discussion
talking
about
ratings
and
enforcement
all
the
way
through
to
about
collecting
information
and
capturing
data.
So
data
was
a
prime
issue
really
and
making
sure
that
we
get
the
ask
right
and
that
also
we
learn
from
the
accessibility
of
data
through
the
current
inspection
methodology
and
talking
about
data.
D
But
also
a
separate
point
is:
is
people
so
people
who
use
services,
families,
friends,
carers,
it's
about
making
sure
that
we
have
a
process
really
that's
going
to
collect
and
capture
that
data
on
a
large
scale.
That's
going
to
be
reflective
of
systems,
and
the
third
thing
was
time.
There
was
an
ask
really
that
we
take
our
time.
D
So
we
get
the
background
work
right
to
put
us
in
the
best
place
where
we
can
drive
improvement
going
forwards,
and
then
ask
was
that
we
have
some
sort
of
road
map
in
place
really
so
that
providers
and
systems
are
kept
up
to
date
as
we
move
through
the
project
and
they
can
understand
where
we're
at
and
what
each,
what
we've
decided
on
as
we've
moved
forwards.
So
once
we've
ticked
data
off
our
list,
we
tell
them
once
we
talk
about
ratings
or
not
rating,
then
we
tell
them
so
keeping
people
informed.
B
Okay,
thank
you.
That's
really
helpful
thanks,
peppa,
because
I
do
think
I'd
like
to
reinforce
the
idea
of
communication
and
co-production.
So
you
have
a
commitment
from
us
that
we
will
do
exactly
that
as
the
methods
develop
and
I'll
think
it
matures.
We
will
certainly
share
it
with
you
for
your
views
and
be
asking
your
questions
again.
Have
we
got
this
about
right?
What
needs
to
change?
B
B
No
we're
not
having
a
very
easy
time
with
teams
today.
Are
we
colleagues
so
mindful
that
we've
got
a
lot
to
go
through
and
we've
only
got
seven
minutes
we'll
take
this
away
and
we'll
have
a
really
really
forensic
look
at
what
you've
shared
with
us.
B
Any
comments
or
questions
from
any
of
our
colleagues
on
the
call
your
feedback
is
so
important
to
us
and
you're
thinking
so
important.
So
please,
if
you
can
don't
be
afraid
to
speak
out,
because
the
whole
idea
of
this
is
that
we
want
to
co-produce
this
with
you.
E
I
think
it's
good
that
you
do
these
sessions
actually
invite
comments.
I
think
it's
really
good
and
the
interaction
between
yourselves
and
the
providers
is
there
that
you're
wanting
to
to
share
your
plans
with
us
and
hear
our
views
so
look
forward
to
some
more
of
these,
but
thank
you
for
including
everybody.
It's
really
helpful.
B
Well,
thank
you
for
coming.
Thank
you.
I'm
I've
just
noted
bex's
comment
from
roommate
the
importance
of
providers
as
well
as
people
with
lived
experience,
yeah
good
point
well
made.
Thank
you
and
it's
been
thought
provoking.
Well,
I'm
really
glad
that
it
has
because
it's
exercising
us
so
anything
that
you
give
us
will
be
really
really
welcome
and
thank
you
all
so
very
very
much.
There
will
be
more
of
these
sessions
going
forward.
We
are
interested
in
what
you're
thinking
we
are
interested
in
you
contributing
to
the
development
of
our
methods
going
forward.
B
So
please
stay
with
us.
Please
stay
engaged
here's
how
you
can
stay
up
to
date.
You
can
get
now
evolved
involved
in
our
digital
platform,
which
is
there
the
provider
bulletin
and
blogs
will
be
part
of
our
ongoing
communications
with
the
good
souls.
Obviously,
our
twitter
account
and
cqc
connect,
but
as
we
go
forward
and
we
will
be
moving
at
pace
so
expect
some
more
invitations
soon
and
thank
you
very
very
much
for
a
really
rich
and
really
quick
session.
It
went
ever
so
fast
for
me.
B
I
don't
know
about
you,
but
thank
you
very
much
for
that
and
I
look
forward
to
working
with
some
of
you
again
in
the
not
too
distant
future
and
really
nice
to
see
some
own
friends
and
old
colleagues
on
the
call.
So
thank
you.
Everybody
have
a
great
monday
evening
and
look
forward
to
speaking
with
you
again
soon.
