From YouTube: Crowbar Demo Part C: Verify Ceph Is Healthy
Description
After the Ceph proposal is successfully applied to the cluster, we can use the command line interface to verify that everything is up and running correctly.
A
Once
the
set
proposal
has
been
successfully
applied,
it's
a
good
idea
to
just
check
on
the
SEF
cluster
health
and
to
do
that
where
we
can
do
is
connect
to
the
admin
node
and
then
from
there
SSH
into
one
of
the
nodes
that
has
a
monitor
role.
Once
we
are
on
that
node,
we
can
run
the
SEF
dash
S
command
to
check
SEF
status
and
what
we
should
be
looking
for
is
health,
ok,
that
the
monitors
are
up
and
running
and
that
we
have
a
quorum
with
at
least
two
nodes
in
it.
A
The
OS
DS
are
all
up
and
in
the
cluster,
and
then
everything
is
active
and
clean.
So
this
is
really
kind
of
an
ideally
healthy
system
state.
If
we
do
SEF
OSD
tree,
we
can
get
an
ASCII
representation
of
what
the
disc
in
the
SEF
cluster
look
like.
So
we
have
basically
three
hosts
that
have
the
SEF
store
role
in
the
cluster.
Each
of
them
has
four
discs
and
those
discs
are
up
and
part
of
the
cluster.
