An early childhood educator training program is available to Burlington residents, 18 and older with a high school diploma or GED. This program is fully funded by the city and participants are eligible for a completion bonus. This program includes Fundamentals, Diversity Training, Pediatric First Aid and CPR, as well as observation hours with area programs. Stress is your body's physical, mental, or emotional reaction to a demand or challenge. It affects the way we act, think, and feel overall when we are under too much mental or emotional pressure. Stress occurs when you face a new, unpredictable or threatening situation, and you don’t know whether you can manage it successfully. Relocating to the United States is a big life change, one that comes with a lot of stress that people may not always be aware of. Chronic stress, in particular, can take a significant toll on a person’s health and impact their daily lives.

Chronic stress is a prolonged and constant feeling of stress that can negatively affect your health if it goes untreated. It can be caused by the everyday pressures of family and work or by traumatic situations. It can be emotional stress (difficult emotions such as anger, sadness, or frustration), environmental stress (where you live and work), relationship stress (how you relate to friends, family, co-workers, partners), or work stress (challenges and pressures related to your job).

Cela affecte la façon dont nous agissons, pensons et ressentons en général lorsque nous subissons trop de pression mentale ou émotionnelle.
