A
A
A
Okay,
okay,
okay
and
first
let
me
apologize
that
we
are
having
technical
difficulties,
so
we
may
not
be
on
the
computers,
even
though
you
may
see
us
there.
We
may
not
be
on
on
tv,
and
so
I
have
a
meeting
announcement
councils.
Members
will
begin
are
encouraged
to
be
I'm
sorry
meeting
announcement.
Council
members
are
encouraging
virtual
public
participation,
as
there
is
a
limited
number
of
seating
in
council
chambers
due
to
the
rising
numbers
of
coveted
infections
in
the
area.
A
C
A
A
Our
next
order
of
business
as
we
it's
the
pledge
of
allegiance
as
we
join
from
our
remote
locations,
please
rise
for
the
pledge
of
allegiance
and
remain
standing
for
a
moment
of
silence.
I
pledge
allegiance
to
the.
A
And
we
have
one
proclamation
to
be
presented,
I
believe
virtually
councilman,
coghill
and
councilman
burgess.
A
A
A
B
B
One
of
the
largest
animal
welfare
organizations
in
the
commonwealth
and
whereas
harp's
mission
is
not
only
to
match
animals
with
their
permanent
homes,
but
to
provide
low-cost
veterinary
care,
education
and
training
opportunities
for
owners
and
their
pets,
as
well
as
assist
with
pet
food
supply.
And
whereas
not
only
has
harp's
programming
expanded
under
dan's
leadership.
B
Whereas,
while
dan
is
leaving
his
role
as
ceo
at
harp
in
pittsburgh,
he
is
continuing.
His
passion
for
animals
in
california,
as
the
new
executive
director
of
the
palm
springs,
animal
shelter
and
whereas
currently
living
in
a
coastal
life
dan
will
soon
be
joined
by
his
husband,
dr
edward
garofalo,
and
their
furry
companions.
B
Commends
dan
rossi
for
his
tireless
commitment
to
animal
welfare,
celebrates
his
many
achievements
and
wishes
him
and
his
family
success
in
their
next
adventure
in
palm
springs
and
be
it
further
resolved
that
the
council
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
tuesday
january
25th
2022
to
be
dan
rossi
day
in
the
city
of
pittsburgh.
A
motion
to
approve
in
a
second.
A
E
This
is
here.
D
E
Know
you're
you're
three
hours
behind,
so
it's
a
little
early
here,
but
you
know
that's
my
view
of
the
mountains
and
the
palm
springs.
So
it's
it's
a
pretty
nice
setup
here
for
sure
for
sure
versus
the
snow.
D
Yeah
we're
a
little
jealous,
but
we're
going
to
miss
you
no
end
dan
you've
been
you
have
just
been
just
such
a
wonderful
asset
to
to
pittsburgh
as
a
whole
and
to
to
animal
welfare
and
the
people
who
love
animals.
Unlike
anybody,
I
think
I've
ever
known.
Thank
you.
It
really
is
our
honor
to
to
recognize
you
for
the
work
that
you
have
done
and
to
wish
you
all
the
very
best
in
in
your
new
adventure.
D
But
you
know
I'd
like
to
turn
the
microphone
over
to
you
and
maybe
you'll
say
a
few
words.
Certainly.
E
Again,
I
was
so
touched
when
I
got
the
message
that
you
wanted
to
recognize
me.
You
know
I'm
I'm
a
guy.
That
is
all
about
the
mission
and
not
so
much
about
recognitions.
But
in
this
case
I'm
happy
happy
happy
to
be
part
of
this
and
to
accept
this.
We
have
so
much
to
do
for
animal
welfare
all
around
the
country
in
pittsburgh
in
california.
So
you
know
my
my
mission
continues.
E
It's
just
at
a
different
place
to
help
grow
that
and
get
it
to
the
level
of
cutting-edge
services
that
are
now
in
pittsburgh
and
will
continue
to
be.
I
you
know,
although
I'm
leaving
pittsburgh,
pittsburgh
will
always
be
my
home.
You
haven't
seen
the
last
of
me
I'll,
be
back
and
forth
for
holidays
and
things
like
that
as
well.
So
I
I
hope
to
see
everybody
every
time
I
come
back
as
well
humane
animal
rescue,
I
believe,
as
I'm
leaving
it
really
is
set
for
an
amazing
future.
E
We
are
really
partnering
and
continuing
to
partner
with
the
city
to
expand
services
to
animals,
including
big
big
plans
for
the
wildlife
center,
which
I
know
will
be
very
successful,
even
though
I
won't
be
there
and-
and
I
appreciate
all
the
councilman's
help
over
the
years
in
each
of
their
districts
when
there's
been
animal
problems
or
issues
and
we've
been
able
to
step
in
and
help,
and
I'm
sure
that
will
continue
without
me
there,
but
but
again
and
personally-
I
you
know-
have
close
friendships.
E
I
believe,
with
bruce
you've,
been
a
great
guy
to
work
with
over
the
years
and
and
really
really
accepting
of
me
and
helpful
of
me
and
I'd
have
to
say
the
same
of
ricky.
Burgess
he's
a
great
guy
that
animal
facility,
that
is
one
of
the
best
in
the
country
over
on
hamilton
avenue,
would
not
have
happened
without
the
help
of
ricky.
So
thank
you
ricky
for
helping
to
make
that
happen.
D
Hey,
dare
can
you
talk
a
little
bit
about
adoptions
that
took
place
during
the
pandemic?
I
know
there
has
been
some.
I
don't
want
to
use.
The
word
regret,
but
I
understand
some
of
the
shelters
are
burgeoning
now
by
animals
that
are
being
returned,
because
people
are
going
back
to
work
and
don't
quite
have
the
capacity
to
care
for
the
animals
anymore,
and
I
understand
that's
putting
a
lot
of
pressure
on
a
lot
of
shelters
around
the
nation.
Could
you
talk
a
little
bit
about
that?
Please.
E
D
Great,
that's
really
good
to
hear.
I
have
a.
I
have
a
cat,
that's
become
an
appendage
to
me
over
pandemic,
and
I
just
we.
I
can't
you
know
I
mean
he's
under
my
feet
every
minute
of
every
day,
and
I
attribute
that
to
us
working
from
home
a
lot
and
being
around
a
lot,
and
I
can
imagine
where
animals
would
begin
to
have
separation
anxiety
when
those
kinds
of
schedules
change.
E
Yeah,
that
is,
that
is
definitely
a
problem
out
there,
with
pets
being
used
to
having
their
their
people
around
all
day.
Long
and
suddenly
they're
they're
not
now,
but
we
have.
We
have
a
whole
host
of
pet
retention
services
in
pittsburgh
through
harp
that
are
there
to
help
people
deal
with.
Those
type
of
things
continue
to
help
people
that
need
food
and
medical
assistance,
and
things
like
that,
because
those
services
continue
to
be
in
very
high
demand.
D
I
certainly
wish
you
nothing,
but
the
best
in
your
new
adventures,
it's
a
huge
loss
to
pittsburgh.
We
are
really
sorry
to
see
you
go,
but
it's
the
natural
order
of
things-
and
I
just
want
to
congratulate
you-
wish
you
all
the
very
best
in
your
new
adventure
and
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
councilman
burgess,
because
I
know
he
has
a
few
words
he'd
like
to
say
as
well.
F
The
animal
facility
on
hamilton
is
both
across
the
street
from
my
childhood
home
and
three
blocks
from
where
I
live
now,
and
so
I
go
past
it
literally
every
day
right
down
the
street
from
the
church,
so
we're
proud
of
it
state-of-the-art
facility
in
homewood,
and
it
was
the
first
of
our
commitment
to
rebuilding
homewood
and
housing,
actually
followed
your
chosing
of
that
site
and
helped
to
is
helping
to
redevelop
that
area.
F
But
your
professionalism,
your
vision,
you've,
put
pittsburgh
on
the
map
in
terms
of
animal
care
and
animal
services.
We
are
sad
heartbroken
to
see
you
go,
but
our
loss
is
palm
springs,
gain
and
anytime.
You
need
a
preacher
to
come
and
preach
to
the
animals.
Let
me
know
I
I'll
take
a
field
trip
to
play
with
the
animals.
F
I
had
a
chance
to
come
in
and
play
with
some
of
the
dogs
and
cats,
and
you
know,
let
me
know
I'll,
come
and
play
with
the
dolls
and
cats
in
in
palm
springs
and
perhaps
enjoy
a
little
bit
of
the
weather
change.
God
bless
you
and
your
family
and
nothing,
but
the
best.
A
E
A
Okay
and
that
moves
us
on
to
our
next
order
of
business,
which
is
public
comment,
and
I
do
want
to
mention
that
councilman
gross-
is
trying
desperately
to
join
us
via
zoom,
but
she
is
unable
to
get
on
because
of
whatever
technical
difficulties
we're.
Having
here
republic
comment,
I
would
like
to
remind
everyone
that
the
rules
of
council
state
the
comments
are
limited
to
matters
of
concern.
Official
action
or
deliberation
which
are
or
may
be
before,
city,
council,
profanity
and
threats
will
not
be
permitted.

I
am
the
grand
inca,
the
iroquois
confederacy
of
aboriginal
american
people,
also
known
as
indian,
and
it's
very
befitting
that
today
you
would
speak
of
the
animal
rescue
league
and
its
creation
prior
to
creating
housing
for
your
constituents,
your
citizens
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh.
C
I
will
continue
to
speak
our
piece
to
the
record,
for
we
are
the
road
to
the
sunni.
We
are
the
unque
home
way.
We
are
the
people
of
the
land,
the
original
stewards
of
the
land,
and
we
are
not
getting
the
proper
acknowledgements
that
we
deserve.
We
rightfully
deserve,
for
it
is
our
ancestors
blood
that
has
been.
C
A
A
H
H
H
H
H
H
What
do
I
get
as
a
thank
you,
because
I
have
a
walker
I'm
a
little
bit
disabled
now
as
a
youngster.
H
A
friend
drives
me
down
here
and
makes
it
possible
for
me
to
attend
by
way
of
getting
off
getting
off
at
the
offloading
zone,
but
he
parked
there
and
when
he
came
out
after
hearing
my
presentation,
lo
and
behold,
114
dollar
ticket
now
I've
you've
heard
me
speak
to.
A
I
My
friend
antoinette
howard,
I
feel
like
her
civil
rights
have
been
violated
from,
I
guess:
the
housing
development
she
lives
in.
They
came
to
inspect
her
apartment.
She
lives
and
now
her
house,
because
she's
trying
to
get
a
new
house
in
oak
hill.
I
Now
we
don't
know
what
to
do,
because
that's
not
her
fault
that
that's
not
her
house.
It's
not
her
responsibility
to
fix
things
because
she
doesn't
own
the
house
and
section
8.
I
don't
know
how
they
could
let
this
go
when
it's
not
her
fault.
I
J
Yes,
ma'am,
my
name
is
anthony
howard-gates.
I
live
at
7108
hermitage
street
I've
been
there
since
2019..
J
I've
been
in
like
for
six
for
six
months
and
ain't
been
there
for
six
months,
it's
reckless
over
there
in
that
neighborhood
I
was
on
the
waiting
list
for
oak
hill
oak
hill
come
through.
There
were
section
18,
first
and
then
okay,
okay
to
discriminate
me
told
me.
I
passed
a
special
because
the
house
wasn't
even
fixed
where
it's
not
fixed.
Somebody
needs
to
come
down
there.
J
Mr
ripley
burgess
need
to
do
something
about
this
neighborhood
and
home
with
no
hermitage,
because
I'm
the
story
I
have
been
up,
I
have
I
got
proof
that
I
called
the
health
department
on
these
people.
I
don't
know
if
this
land
was
gonna
put
me
up
because
I'm
reporting
it.
They
took
all
my
stuff,
I'm
down
to
my
my
my
electronics
and
my
clothes
and
I'm
laying
on
more
beds.
I
come
from
auburn
street.
I
live
about
157,
album
street
and
it
was
a
big
house
and
now
that
I'm
on
these
lists
they
deny
me.
J
A
Thank
you
and
if
you
leave
your
contact
with
me,
please
your
time's
expired.
If
you
leave
your
contact
information
with
the
clerk's
office
out
here,
we'll
have
somebody
contact.
You.
A
K
You
know,
I
don't
know
how
you
feel,
but
when
I
hear
someone
that
comes
to
you
and
is
being
discriminated
against
and
can't
get
help
that
looks
bad
for
you,
I'm
going
to
start
off.
Today
I
went
to
the
care
of
caribbean
village,
that's
in
monroeville,
and
I
bought
this
sign
because
I
want
students
to
see
what
it
says.
Truth
is
powerful
and
it
prevails
and
the
reason
why
I'm
going
to
show
you
this
is
that
I
want
to
show
six
years
2000
january
25th
2016
that
60
years
ago.
K
That's
when
I
had
a
hearing
about
the
shop
and
say
okay,
this
hearing
I
had
put
in
the
building
and
went
through
the
neighborhood.
There
was
going
to
be
a
hearing
and,
as
you
can
see,
there's
initials
from
the
building
where
I
live
at.
I
had
to
have
them
designer
that
I
could
put
it
on,
but
it's
about
to
shop
and
say
build
it
it's
about
to
shop
and
say
I
was
a
sponsor.
K
When
I
came
mr
burke,
mr
krause,
do
you
remember
he
says
we
have
two
speakers
and
I
said
speakers
I
said,
but
I
was
a
sponsor.
Who
was
the
sponsor
two
speakers
and
made
me
spit
a
speaker?
I
sponsored
I
was
supposed
to
give
five
minutes.
I
got
three
remember
that
you
remember.
I
only
got
three
minutes.
I
should
have
five
because
he
took
away
my
sponsorship.
K
My
civil
rights
have
for
years
been
just
been
just
stepped
on
and
even
by
mr
burgess,
but
another
thing
I
wanted.
I
want
to
show
you
how
tricky
they
were
you
list,
and
this
is
february
the
21st
2010
at
601.
I
was
speaking,
but
let's
head
spoke
before
me,
his
speech.
They
cut
you
out
when
they
cut
left
side.
I
said
les
they
cut
you
out
and
put
me
first
because
see
my
husband
went
to
turn
the
channel.
I
said
come
on
brownie
I
said
I
got
to
speak.
K
K
Remember
that's
when
he
came
that
day
because
he
don't
have
it,
he
didn't
have
to
be
able
to
watch
it,
and
I
told
him
I
said
les
they
cut
you
out
and
I
have
the
proof
documented
proof
documented
proof
that
I
was
a
sponsor
and
only
got
three
minutes
because
mr
cross
made
the
decision.
Listen.
Mr
krause,
I
get
upset
with
you
because
I
remember
you
remember
when
they
said
miss
hash
was
getting
ready
to
you're
gonna
have
election
and
he
he
says
kraus
says
I
hope
we
should
get
no,
not
cross
burgers.
K
F
Is
there
any
other
speakers
seeing
none
the
next
order
of
business
would
be
the
presentation
of
papers,
councilman,
burgess,
chair
of
urban
recreation,
mr
coghill
is
not
here,
but
I
think
there
are
no
new
papers
newspapers.
Mr
chair
councilman,
coghill,
chair
of
public
works,
new.
F
F
L
I
just
got
I
just
finally
got
in
my
apologies.
It
was
my
computer
first
and
then
I
was
waiting.
Mr
chair,
I
have
one
new
paper.
M
F
F
F
It
is
very
difficult
being
the
first
african
mayor,
african-american
mayor
of
the
city,
I
think
the
task
of
leading
our
city
and
finding
competent
people
to
lead
it
is
probably
exhausting.
I
support
the
mayor.
I
also
support
basically
his
privilege
of
gathering
his
own
staff
and
so
as
sort
of
an
old
guy.
F
My
prayer
and
hope
always
is
that
he
will
find
the
best
and
brightest
to
help
him
lead
our
city,
and
so
I
think
that
this
particular
appointment
is
unusual
in
that
I
think
jake
pollock
brings
an
unusual
breadth
of
experience
and
capacity,
but
I
think
it
should
be
the
this
is
just
my
advice.
I
think
this
should
be
the
exception,
but
not
the
rule.
F
F
It
is
my
just
my
friendly
advice
that,
after
this
appointment
as
we
move
forward
with
appointments,
we
should
have
people
who
are
experts
in
the
area
that
we
are
appointing
them
to.
I
think
that
is
in
the
best
interest
of
our
city,
and
I
think,
and
it
will
be
in
the
long-term
best
interest
of
this
mayor-
that's
just
my
friendly
old
man
of
ice
with
that.
Is
there
any
other
discussion
on
the
resolution,
if
not
all,
of
those
in
favor
certified
by
saying
aye
hi
opposes
nay
unanimous.
F
We
are
looking
forward
to
working
with
jake
as
the
new
director
of
office
management
and
budget
that
takes
us
to
reports
for
final
action,
and
that
brings
us
to
councilman
r,
daniel
lavalle
committee
on
finance
and
law.
President.

you.
