Please

our

proclamations
and
I
have
a
few
to
be
read
a
few
to
be
presented
and
The
Willow
Council
Madam
clerk.
Could
you
oh
I'm?
Sorry
it's
me.
Could
we
please
have
the
Bishop
cannavan
baseball
team
come
forward?
Please
everyone,
everybody
with
Bishop
Cannon.
A
If
I
fail
to
say
your
name
correctly,
please
correct
me
when
you
come
up
to
the
mic
whereas
well,
let
me
just
say:
Bishop
canavan
is
a
gem
in
District
2..
They
do
so
many
amazing
things
in
our
area
and
we
have
a
lot
of
people
for
the
City
of
Pittsburgh
that
worked
or
went
to
school
at
Bishop
Cannon
and
then
came
to
work
for
the
City
of
Pittsburgh
about
a
lot
of
their
talents
here,
including
our
previous
Public
Works,
director
Rob,
kazarovski,
Bobby
palmisina.
A
Now,
Gino,
Paul,
Messina,
there's
a
lot
of
people
in
our
area
that
appreciate
what
Canada
brings
to
our
community.
It's
the
only
High
School
in
District
too
so,
whereas
the
Crusaders
baseball
team
won
the
wpia
AL
class,
a
title
game:
Wednesday
May,
31st
2023
after
the
Crusaders
defeated
California,
eight
to
five
at
Wild,
Things
Park
in
Washington
and
whereas
Bishop
canovan.
Oh,
let
me
just
say
this:
Jake
Pollock,
the
mayor's
deputy
director
and
some
people
call
him.
A
The
deputy
mayor
also
is
a
graduate
Bishop
Canada,
whereas
I'm
sorry,
we
read
that
this
year's
young
team
started
four
sophomores
and
six
juniors
in
the
title
game
and
had
only
one
senior.
The
Crusaders
are
now
15-3
in
this
in
the
season
and
entered
into
the
wp
PIAA
tournament
on
June
5th
and
whereas
head
coach,
Bill
Varley
LED
his
team
with
it
with
assistant
assistant
coaches,
Bob,
gorny,
Craig,
Sansan,.
A
Didion
Didion
nice
to
see
you
tomorrow,
so
I
know
I'm,
saying
I'm
wrong:
Aaron
Edwards,
Mason,
Glover
Glover,
you
related
to
Glovers
from
Chartiers
who's.
C
A
He's
not
here,
okay,
I,
know
the
Glovers
okay
and
then,
where
were
we
Lucas
golembusk
gollumski
and
Aiden
guzel
Joey
Hurley,
Lauren,
Livesey
Livesey,
and
they
she
used
to
work
at
The,
Village,
right,
Jake,
Lawford,
Tyler,
Maddox,
Julian,
Marin,.
A
And
Vincent
Richie
Brandon
Schultz
I
know
that
one
Dominic
Farley
and
Quentin
white
and
now
they're
forbid
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
congratulate
Bishop
canavan
Crusaders
baseball
team
on
their
wpial
class,
a
championship
title
and
be
it
further.
The
result
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Tuesday
June,
6
2023
to
be
Crusaders.
Baseball
team
day
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
can
I
have
a
motion
to
approve
in
a
second
all
in
favor.
C
D
A
F
Wasn't
really
prepared
to
say
anything
but
yeah.
We
we
want
to
thank
you
for
having
us
here
today.
This
is
an
honor
and
we
couldn't
have
everybody
come
we.
We
ended
up
losing
yesterday
in
the
state
championships,
but
that's
okay.
We
will
be
back
next
year
and
we
had
a
great
season,
but
not
everybody
could
be
here.
F
It
was
just
you
know
what
time
was
it
last
night
about
six
o'clock
when
our
game
was
over
or
no
about
seven
o'clock
and
we
kind
of
told
the
guys
at
the
last
minute
what
we
were
doing
here
today
so,
but
we
do,
we
do
appreciate
it
since
everybody's
already
been
announced,
I'm
not
going
to
do
that,
but
oh
okay,
each
one's
going
to
say
their
names
when
they
come
through
anything
else
anyway.
We
just
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
having
us
here
today.
A
Other
than
your
name,
when
you
come
through
Bob
gorney
who's
been
coaching
for
how
many
years
Bob
gorney
was
a
teacher
at
Pittsburgh.
Public
schools
in
our
retirees
are
back
there
in
the
audience.
That's
been
Public
School,
Pittsburgh,
Public,
Schools
retirees
but
they're
going
to
kill
me
for
chopping,
your
names
up,
but
anyways.
So
please
say
something
and
I
just
do
want
to
say
you
won
a
championship.
So
let's
keep
that
focus
on
that
the
state's
one
thing,
but
you
you
did
win
championship
at
championship
games.
E
I
just
want
to
say
special
thank
you
to
coach
gorny,
one
of
my
favorite
people
and
he's
the
heart
of
the
team.
I
love
you
coach.
E
Leonard
Aiken
pinch
Runner
a
love
of
great.
G
I
didn't
go
part
of
the
bishop
kenned
in
a
high
school
baseball
team
I'm
going
into
my
sophomore
year.
H
I'm,
like
it's
going
going,
be
asking
I'm
a
first
baseman
I
will
be
going
into
my
senior
year
of
high
school.
I
Nicole
I
pitched
and
I
play
center
field
and
I'll
be
going
my
junior
year.
I
Kellan
andrewsik
second
baseman,
going
into
my
junior
year.
A
Yeah
and
I'm
back
so
for
those
who've
been
here:
Bob
gorney,
graduating
Canada
in
1965.,
he's
been
coaching
for
Elliott.
He
taught
in
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools
and
he's
been
an
amazing
asset
to
our
entire
Community.
Even
though
we
moved
to
Carnegie
Borough
right,
we'll
forgive
you
for
that
one.
Everyone
want
to
come
over
for
a
photo.
Please
council.
D
F
A
A
C
A
In
case
you
don't
know
these
proclamations
when
we
present
proclamations,
they're
stored
in
the
city
council's
Vault,
and
they
they're
also
now
recorded
in
our
digital
history
and
so
they're
part
of
Pittsburgh's
history.
From
now
on,
you're
all
part
of
Pittsburgh's
history.
Your
name
was
in
the
right.
So
don't
worry
about
that.
C
A
A
C
A
C
A
L
No
well,
he
was
at
risenstein,
he
was
a
Greenway.
C
A
Was
and
then
she
was
the
director
of
communications
and
oversaw
all
Pittsburgh
Public,
Schools
parent
Community
engagement
for
years,
so
a
lot
of
years-
and
we
just
have
a
lot
of
great
people
here
and
we're
going
to
introduce
you
all
and
say
a
lot
of
what
you've
done
and
I
just
want
to.
Thank
you
all
for
everything.
A
A
And
now
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
congratulate
the
Pennsylvania
Association
of
school
retirees
for
its
85
years
of
serving
retired
individuals
who
have
dedicated
their
careers
and
lives
to
the
public
school
system
and
be
it
further
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Tuesday
June
6
2023
to
be
pasr
day
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
Can
I
have
a
motion
to
approve
in
a
second.
L
First
of
all,
thank
you,
everyone,
it's
an
honor
to
be
here.
Thank
you,
president
Kenneth
Smith
for
everything,
you've
done.
I
know,
I
knew
when
she
worked
for
me.
She
was
going
to
go
far
and,
and
my
prediction
came
true.
None
of
us
here
are
85
years
old,
but
this
organization
has
been
around
for
a
long
time.
We
are
proud
retirees
of
the
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools.
L
M
As
a
chapter,
we
continue
to
work
with
students
in
the
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools.
As
Teresa
mentioned,
we
do
give
scholarships
to
Pittsburgh
public
school
seniors.
We
provide
an
educational
grant
for
an
organization,
that's
working
with
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools.
We
also
work
with
our
homeless
families
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
we
may
be
retired,
but
we've
never
forgotten
the
families
in
the
community
that
we
worked
for.
Thank
you.
D
N
Good
morning,
excuse
me
good
morning
my
name
is
Jackie
Blakey
Tate,
I
retired
as
the
principal
at
Perry
Traditional
Academy,
because
it
was
still
the
Traditional
Academy
when
I
retired
and
I
spent
20,
probably
about
22
years
at
the
alternative
school.
My
background
is
alternative
education
because
I
like
to
teach
people
how
to
go
from
the
put
a
round
peg
in
a
square
hole
and
I'm.
N
O
Good
morning
my
name
is
Denise
Littles
Collins
and
I'm
retired
educator
from
the
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools,
I
retired
10
years
from
Westwood
I
guess
it
was
Westwood
K-5
at
the
time
that
I
retired
in
2014.,
as
a
member
of
this
organization,
I
serve
on
the
community
service
committee
and
we
do
a
lot
of
Outreach
Outreach
Services
for
the
community.
Thank
you.
It's
very
nice
to
be
here
and
I
had
Teresa's
son.
She
was
in
our
district
when
I
was
a
principal
over
at
Westwood.
P
Hi
good
morning,
it's
nice
that
you
would
had
us
here.
Thank
you
so
much
I'm,
Gloria,
Getty
and
I
retired.
Oh
almost
10
years
ago,
Hallelujah
but
love
the
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools
I
purposely
moved
to
Pittsburgh
to
work
in
the
Pittsburgh
Public
Schools
and
still
have
a
great
love
and
affection
for
all.
They
do
and
just
always
want
to
put
out
there
that
there's
a
lot
of
good
that
goes
on
in
the
public
schools
anyway.
P
L
What
I
didn't
mention
was
I
think
I'm
the
longest
retiree
here
16
years.
Anybody
beat
me
no
16
years
ago,
retired
from
Pittsburgh,
Public,
Schools
and
I
do
want
to
say
when
Teresa
ran
the
Langley
Center
parent
Center,
it
was
one
of
the
most
successful
and
popular
centers.
We
had
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
there's
no
doubt
in
my
mind
that
what
she
did
when
she
did
what
she
did
helped
the
city
grow.
Even
more
and
I
can
see
through
her
role
here
that
she
has
still
continued
on
in
doing
that.
L
A
Thank
you.
Everyone
would
come
forward
for
a
photo
I'm,
just
going
to
say
real
quickly,
she's
being
way
too
kind.
When
I
worked
there,
she
couldn't
wait
to
get
me
out
of
there
and
the
foundations
helped
her
like
we're,
cutting
her
funding,
she's,
a
political,
what
they
say,
political,
something
over
there
and
I'm
like
I,
don't
even
like
politics,
but
it
was
because
it
was
so
successful
when
so
many
people
came
from
across
the
entire
city
of
Pittsburgh.
Everyone
would
come
forward.
L
D
A
A
C
Q
A
B
R
Thank
you,
madam
president,
and
Council
I
wasn't
prepared
to
say
anything,
but
I
will
be
brief,
because
this
is
something
that
is
from
the
heart.
This
organizing
drive
has
been
years
in
the
making,
and
a
lot
of
people
ask
you
know
who
are
the
staff
at
Pitt
they're
pretty
much
the
men
and
women
that
you
don't
see,
but
they're
the
men
and
women
that
make
the
university
run
they're
the
one
they're
support
staff
for
our
children
to
keep
the
stores
running,
keep
the
I.T
working,
keep
the
lights
on
and
put
in
perspective.
R
As
far
as
the
size
of
this
Union,
this
will
be
the
biggest
Union
Drive
successful.
You
can
drive
in
multiple
decades
in
this
region
and
and
the
successful
aspect
that
will
be
the
biggest
Union
Drive
in
America.
Since
the
unionization
of
Coors
Brewing,
there
has
been
many
unsuccessful
drives,
whether
it's
Amazon
or
Honda
or
Tesla.
We
clearly
do
not
go
down
that
route
here
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
we'll
be
there
decide
beside
these
men
and
women
as
they
go
for
their
American
dream.
So
thank
you.

the

Watchdog
for
the
citizens
of
Pittsburgh.
It
is
the
job
of
the
controller
to
protect
city
tax
dollars
from
waste
Fraud
and
Abuse.
Michael
Lamb
should
have
attended
our
meeting
to
explain
why
the
waste
Fraud
and
Abuse
continues.
Waste
of
thousands
of
dollars
per
month
is
occurring
with
on
our
school
fraud
was
perpetrated
with
the
claim
of
community
support
for
the
sale
of
the
building
to
a
developer.
S
Abuse
is
occurring
due
to
the
threat
of
blockbusting
and
intentional
Affliction
of
the
stress.
Why
won't
he
advocate,
for
we,
the
people
who
have
been
harmed
by
this
detrimental
building?
Who
does
he
serve?
It
is
no
wonder
that
issues
with
the
school
district
persist,
checks
and
balances
do
not
exist
when
the
same
person
is
controller
for
the
city
and
the
Mr
cup.
A
T
Good
morning
my
name
is
Yvonne:
F
Brown
I
want
to
start
off,
but
usually
I
come
down
and
I'm
fussing
about
Katie
will
ervis
tires,
but
I
want
to
tell
you
that
I
want
to
give
praise
and
honor
to
our
two
maintenance.
Men.
One
is
Steve,
he's
a
white
man
and
one
is
male,
a
young
fellow
they
just
hired
I
think
last
year
sometime,
but
both
of
them
are
taking
care
of
190
apartments
in
that
building.
They
give
much
respect
to
me
and
the
citizens.
T
The
elders
I'll
bring
that
up,
because
I'm
usually
coming
down
I'm
fussing
about
what
we
don't
have
citizens
I,
live
on
the
third
floor
and
once
I'm
in
my
house
and
lock
the
door
I'm
fine
outside
is
where
the
problem
is.
When
we
have
a
woman
that
has
beat
up
three
women
she's
even
poured
allegedly
poured
Drano
in
a
man's
exotic
fish,
stood
and
said:
I'm
the
devil
I'm
the
MF
and
devil
you're
running
against
me.
T
Mr
cart!
Hill.
You
saw
her
in
action,
didn't
you,
why
did
she
come
down?
She's
not
even
allowed
in
the
building,
and
my
daughter
sent
you
an
email
showing
her
name,
she's
number
10
on
the
list.
It
says
not
permitted
on
the
grounds
period.
You
saw
her.
She
purposely
came
to-
let
you
let
us
know
like
she
said
as
long
as
my
mother
lives
here,
I
will
come
in
here.
She
even
told
the
that
we
have
a
a
council.
T
T
is
three
something,
but
it's
the
20..
This
is
23
three
years
she's
been
walking
through
anytime.
She
feels
like
it
I
myself.
What
I'm
worried
about
is
my
daughter
told
her
to
leave
me
alone,
but
she's
still
coming
in,
you
watched
you've
seen
her
in
action.
T
You
see
how
she
screamed
for
me
to
call
the
police
I
didn't
have
a
phone,
because
I
would
have
I
started
to
go
to
the
manager,
but
she
would
have
caught
me
in
the
elevator
or
up
the
steps,
and
you
know
her
and
her
sister
is
supposed
to
have
allegedly
killed
a
woman
in
the
bar.
Do
you
understand
she
has
a
body
and
I'm
I?
Don't
want
to
be
the
next
one,
I've
I've
moved
in
there
just
just
because
my
house
remember
Miss
Smith.
T
You
had
promised
that
they
would
help
me,
but
they
never
did.
They
did
Tony
Gunter
right
next.
You
don't
remember,
but
I
do
because
you
know
what
you
don't
remember,
because
it
wasn't
you
whenever
it's
me,
I
can
remember
when
something
is,
is
wrong?
I
come
down
here
because
there
are
seniors
up
in
the
building
that
are
scared
or
afraid
of
that
woman.
The
woman
wanted
a
woman
she
beat
up,
she
came
through
said,
go,
let
me
in
and
she
did.
So.
What
can
we
do
if
I
come
down
last?
K
Oh
I'm
Jacob,
you
still
live
in
Greenfield
that
I
used
to
attend.
University
of
Pittsburgh,
formerly
made
me
yakub
in
Europe
Eastern
Europe
I'm
here,
because
well,
I
want
to
start
with
that.
I
used
to
work
for
PNC
Bank
for
about
a
year
and
during
which
time
he's
working,
Shadyside,
Bloomfield,
Squirrel,
Hill
and
a
lot
of
people
said:
hey
Jacob,
you
know
you
have
an
accent,
I
know
you're,
not
we
weren't
born
in
Ligonier
and
so
I
say
yeah.
Okay
and
you
say
you
have
an
Eastern
European
face
too.
K
It
says
yeah,
okay,
sure
I
was
forcibly
child
trafficked
from
Eastern
Europe
to
the
Pittsburgh
area,
first
Ligonier
and
then
to
Pittsburgh.
When
I
was
a
little
kid
here,
I
don't
know
my
real
name,
I,
don't
really
know
my
original
family
I'm,
here
alone,
isolated
I,
exist
in
the
human
trafficking
Network
in
the
Pittsburgh
area.
That
keeps
me
isolated
controls
where
I
live.
My
emails
Communications,
who
I
connect
with
every
every
contact
that
was
given
to
me,
is
a
human
trafficking
person,
some
always
controlled
in
in
that
way.
K
I
have
a
PhD
from
University
of
Pittsburgh.
Yet
I
was
a
bank
teller
at
PNC
Bank,
all
alone
isolated
for
a
year,
and
they
fired
me
because
I
don't
know
why
they
manufactured
misinformation
and
they
fired
me
and
I
was
open
about
being
child
trafficked
here
from
Eastern
Europe
I
mean
you
can't
make
that
up.
European
police
slowly
marked
my
birth
certificate
with
River
Market
because
they
intervened
with
my
child
trafficking.
K
My
birth
certificate
is
literally
marked
with
River
Market,
because
of
that
so
I
mean
I
was
made
from
abducted
Einstein
genetics
in
Eastern
Europe
here
I
am
I,
have
strange
jobs,
National
energy
lab
inventions,
patents
I
was
a
cashier
at
Giant.
Eagle
I
had
a
PhD,
it's
like
weird
stuff
doesn't
make
sense,
so
I
started
putting
child
trafficking
Survivor
my
resume
and
Pennsylvania
Career
Link
in
Pittsburgh
seems
to
have
a
problem
with
that.
They
said
you
can't
put
them
on
your
resume.
A
Thank
you.

A
A
The
Hill
district
has
been
over
60
years
in
remaking
and
that's
why
it's
so
vitally
important
if
we
didn't
learn
anything
from
any
other
projects
that
we
do,
we
should
have
learned
from
what
happened
in
the
Hill
district,
because
if
it
takes
60
years
to
rebuild
a
neighborhood
after
we
allow
it
to
be
decimated,
then
we
should
be
investing
in
neighborhoods,
so
they
don't
fall
apart
in
the
first
place.
So
I
just
want
to
thank
you
and
congratulate
you
on
your
on
your
work
with
that
said,
is
there
any
further
discussion?

I

I

So
we

the

to

and
to

him
to

With
that
said,
is
there
anything
from
Members
I
know,
councilwoman
work,
I
saw
your
hand
up
councilwoman
Warwick.
W
Yeah,
so
I
just
wanted
to
to
just
so
I
I've
I've
gotten.
A
few
calls
from
various
folks
with
concerns
about
downtown
and
downtown
is
not
my
district,
but
it's
something
that
we've
all
heard.
W
We've
heard
here
at
the
you
know
at
the
table
and
and
whatnot
during
comments,
and
one
thing
that
I
do
want
to
say
is
I
I
do
take
issue
with
the,
and
maybe
it's
a
question
of
semantics,
but
this
notion
of
like
cleaning
up
downtown
as
if
this
is
it
as
if
it
I
mean
we're
talking
about
people
right,
we're
talking
about
human
beings.
This
is
not
just
something
that
you
can
just
sweep
away
right:
it's
not
it's
not
a
litter
problem
it
and
it's
a
complicated
problem.
You
know
these
are.
W
These
are
people
who
need
Services
a
wide
range
of
services
and
in
particular,
housing
which
of
course,
Council
here
has
done
lots
of
work
around
I
I
did
I
I
spoke
briefly
with
Deputy,
Mayor,
Pollock
and
and
I
do
want
to
underscore
that
that
that
we're
working
on
it
right,
the
city
is
working
on
it.
The
office
of
community
health
and
safety.
They
have
the
roots
teams
they're,
the
ambassadors.
W
We
have
the
county
and
City
police
I
mean
this
is
not
something
that
is
going
just
ignored
and
also,
of
course,
with
the
closing
of
the
of
the
shelter
on
on
Smithfield
has
has
added
an
extra
complication,
but
again,
as
the
city
is
working
with
the
county,
to
identify
places
for
these
people
to
go,
you
know
so
the
this
is
all
in
the
works
and
I
understand
I'm
sympathetic,
especially,
you
know
to
the
business
owners
and
and
and
folks
who
work
at
night
in
the
office
buildings
and
such
because
it
it
it
it's
sort
of
it's
difficult,
especially
when
downtown
feels
empty,
except
for
these
folks
who
are
unhoused
living
down
here.
W
So
with
that
in
mind,
I
I
I
want
to
underscore-
and
this
is
kind
of
what
got
me
thinking
about
it
too,
was
this
past
weekend
was
a
really
amazing
weekend
in
downtown.
There
was
Pride,
there
was
the
Arts
Festival,
there
was
a
ball
game
on
the
North
side
and,
and
you
know
going
through
downtown,
you
know
the
restaurants
were
full,
the
streets
were
full
people
were
here
and
walking
around
and
it
was
great
right,
and
that
is
what
we
want
right.
That's
the
that's,
the
the
feeling
that
we
want.
W
So
you
know
whether
whether
it's
people
coming
back
to
work
and
I
understand
you
know
the
the
the
work
situation.
Hybrid
work.
You
know
we're
in
a
new
reality
and
I
am
someone
who
worked
for
for
many
many
years
from
home
exclusively
right
so
and
that
was
pre-pandemic,
so
I
I
understand
working
from
home,
but
but
now
as
someone
who
works
downtown,
you
know
if
you
can,
even
if
you're,
even
if
your
company
doesn't
require
it,
you
know
if
your
company
is
trying
to
give
you
the
flexibility
come
downtown.
W
If
you,
if
you
have
an
office,
downtown,
come
downtown.
If
you
can,
you
know
even
just
a
couple
days
a
week,
come
downtown,
have
lunch
go
to
a
restaurant
because
that
that
helps
that
helps
create
a
more
vibrant
downtown
that
helps
our
businesses
and
also
for
you
know,
I
I
do
hear
a
lot
from
constituents
who
say:
oh,
we
don't
want
to
go
downtown
anymore.
Oh,
we
don't
it's
scary
or
what
it's
like
go
downtown
go
downtown,
come
down,
go
to
a
restaurant,
go
to
a
show,
because
that's
what
that's!
W
V
V
Thank
you,
madam
president.
I
just
wanted
to
recognize
a
very,
very
successful
Pride
that
took
place
this
weekend
and
I
want
to
recognize
all
of
the
support,
services
and
systems
that
make
an
event
like
that
possible
from
the
entirety
of
our
Public
Safety
department.
V
Our
public
works
department,
I
suspect,
though
me
and
pillai,
in
terms
of
permits
that
were
required
and
and
that
I
want
to
thank
all
of
our
elected
officials
that
showed
and
I
and
came
for
the
March,
but
especially
I
want
to
thank
the
just
thousands
and
thousands
of
people
that
lined
the
streets
and
came
out
to
support
Pride.
V
It
was
a
wonderful
event
and
it's
important
I
think
it's
very
important
that
we
recognize
those
people
and
the
systems
in
place
that
permit
us
to
be
able
to
do
do
an
event
like
that.
So
Public,
Safety,
Public,
Works,
I,
guess
know
me.
I
imagine,
pli
and
anyone
I
may
have
missed
I
just
want
to
give
a
good
shout
out
to
and
a
thank
you
for
making
Pride
such
a
wonderful
event,
the
organizers
and
again,
especially
the
people.
V
As
the
councilman
woman
was
referencing,
the
People
by
the
thousands
that
came
out
and
activated
the
streets
populated
the
event
and
made
it
a
success,
and
thank
you,
madam
president,
I
appreciate
the
the
time
to
make
remarks.
Thank.
A
You
councilman
and
I
just
want
to
thank
you
for
really
spearheading
a
lot
of
the
efforts
around
the
lgbtq
plus
communities
over
the
years
and
I
just
want
to
congratulate
you
on
on
a
also
a
successful
time
here
and
making
sure
that
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
all
of
us
understood
and
were
supportive
more
than
we
were
when
we
initially
got
here.
So
just
thank
you
very
much
for
your
work
on
this
too.
A
With
that
said,
I
do
want
to
comment
on
the
comments
about
downtown
and
I'm.
Sorry
councilman
of
Allen,
councilman,
Wilson
I
know
you
represent
this
area
and
are
doing
all
that
you
can
to
do
what's
best
for
your
neighborhoods.
You
always
have
so
with
that
I
just
say.
For
me:
it's
it's
more
of
a
regional
issue
and
it's
more
of
an
issue
about
people.
I
tell
people
all
the
time.
A
A
Absolutely
I
want
to
do
that,
but
I
feel,
like
you
can
say
you
care
about
people
and
allow
them
to
sit
on
the
streets
in
all
the
problems
and
all
the
pain
that
they're
sitting
there
suffering
and
struggling
with,
and
a
lot
of
people
are
and
I
think
it
was
once
someone
in
the
previous
community
health
and
safety
office.
That
mentions
something
about
that
within
24
hours
about
75
percent
of
the
women
and
children
that
are
on
the
streets
are
raped
or
molested
within
that
time
period.
A
I,
don't
think,
that's
a
good
statistic
that
we
want
to
be
that
we
want
to
keep.
We
want
to
find
a
place
to
put
people
to
help
people
to
get
them
the
resources,
the
services
they
need.
A
hot
meal,
drug
and
alcohol
counseling,
the
kids
into
great
safe
environments
and
a
lot
of
times,
they're,
probably
fleeing
from
some
of
those
environments
too.
A
So
I
think
that
it's
trying
to
get
everybody
in
a
better
place-
and
that
includes
our
businesses,
but
it
is
especially
for
the
people
and
I
think
that
it's
a
conversation
I
know
the
mayor's
office
is
working
on
and
they
they
inherited
a
lot
of.
What's
going
on
in
that
regard
and
I
think
it's
just
been
a
lot
of
the
evictions
that
have
taken
place
in
a
lot
of
other
things.
But
I
don't
want
to
forget
that
domestic
violence
plays
a
lot
of
this
children.
Being
molested
at
home
plays
a
lot
into
this.
A
A
lot
of
people
being
moved
around
the
foster
care
system
from
you
know
one
bad
home
to
another.
Sometimes
amazing
comes
but
if
you're
lucky
you
get
one
of
those
amazing
Combs.
So
I
just
want
to
say
there's
a
lot
of
things
that
do
factor
into
it,
but
I
just
want
to
say:
let's
try
to
find
some
way
to
make
sure
that
we're
getting
people
the
help
that
they
really
need.
A
You
heard
my
cousin
come
down
here
and
talk
about
when
he
was
homeless
and
he
gives
back
a
lot
to
the
community,
but
his
drug
and
alcohol
counseling
was
important
for
him
to
get
in
to
get
help
so
I
I
know
people
that
are
homeless.
I
know
people
that
have
been
homeless,
I
could
have
been
homeless.
I
want
to
help
the
homeless,
the
unhouses.
A
Now
people
referring
to
them
as
I,
want
to
help
everyone,
but
I
also
think
that
DHS
has
to
be
key
in
helping
us
get
this
done,
but
I
hope
and
I
know
that
the
mayor's
office
is
constantly
in
conversations
with
him.
So
I
just
want
to
say
I
think
all
that
with
all
that
said,
I
want
to
do
whatever
we
can
as
a
council
to
try
to
help
the
mayor's
office
in
DHS
in
ways
that
we
legally
can
and
are
as
under
our
jurisdiction.
A
But
if
there's
some
buildings
that
we
can
purchase
and
help
get
some
real
resources,
but
the
buildings
can't
be
low
barrier,
all
that
all
of
them,
because
there's
a
lot
of
issues
that
we're
having
in
some
of
the
low
barrier
places.
So
with
that
said,
I
think
it's
a
broader
conversation.
I
do
want
to
thank
Lisa.
Frank
has
been
really
doing
a
lot
in
this
series.
A
So
I
want
to
thank
her
for
that
and
and
our
committee
with
councilman
Cog
Hill
cheering
so
did
anything
else
remembers
with
that
said,
can
we
have
a
motion
to
excuse
the
absent
members,
approve
the
minutes
and
adjourn
the
meeting.
