From YouTube: Gender Equity Commission Meeting - 7/20/21
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
The
recorded
version
that
is
up
on
our
city
channel,
unfortunately,
we
were
not
able
to
present.
A
A
A
City
council
meeting,
commissioner
hale
president
commissioner
hall
is
not
with
us.
A
Is
not
here,
commissioner
manuel
present,
commissioner
newman.
A
President
commissioner
overton
president
and
commissioner
detriara,
I
am
present.
A
Commissioner
raymie
president,
commissioner
schultz.
Yes
president
awesome,
commissioner
walker.
A
Is
not
here,
okay,
great,
so
we
do
not
have
the
june
minutes
to
vote
on,
and
so
we
do
know.
A
A
First
of
all,
thank
you.
If
you
all
haven't
had
a
chance,
hopefully
you
had
a
chance
to
review
the.
A
A
Either
now
or
we
can
discuss
in
august
in
depth,
and
so
I'm
gonna
actually
ask
our
two
co-chairs.
A
A
A
B
A
Each
other
and
to
keep
things
moving
forward.
It
looked
like
it
was
a
really
awesome
meeting.
A
A
A
A
Really
great
work,
it
was
really
exciting
report
to
read.
So
thank
you.
Okay,
so
we
had
a
fun
meeting.
C
A
And
so
with
the
consent
agenda,
we're
we're
just
voting
to
accept
the
reports
from
the
gender.
A
Hi,
bye,
hey
any
opposed
any
abstentions,
no
okay
great,
so
those
will
be
entered
into
our
records.
A
Under
our
july
meeting,
and
also
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
again
to
our
first
vice
chair
for.
A
Down,
unfortunately,
commissioner
hall
has
some
some
conflicts
that
could
not
be
moved.
A
A
Been
huge
since
he
has
joined,
and
I
just
want
to
take
a
quick
second
to
celebrate
the
work
that.
A
She
has
done
and
stepping
in
to
be
secretary
immediately
and
coming
into
the
commission.
A
We
all
think
exciting
presentation
from
megan
rose,
the
director
of
the
center
for.
A
Women
in
the
national
council
for
jewish
women
and
anna,
is
it
hariyah
or
harila.
A
Online
engagement
and
strategy
at
denny,
civic
solutions,
and
so
we're
very
excited
to
have.
A
Share
with
us
what
you're
going
to
share
today,
what
you've
been
working
on
and
we're
excited.
E
The
opportunity
to
engage
in
the
family
care
act
campaign,
so
I
I
think
anna
should
kick
us
off.
E
And
I
will
I'm
happy
to
to
contribute
the
perspective
of
a
participating
organization.
F
And
back-end
communication
projects-
I
wouldn't
consider
myself
a
policy
expert
by
any
means,
so.
F
But
really
just
about
the
campaign
itself
and
what
the
family
care
act
is.
If
you
aren't.
F
And
that
was
before
covid
and
even
less
now,
and
so
you
know
only
six
percent
of
low-wage
workers.
F
Have
any
access
compared
to
22
of
high-wage,
and
so
we're
really
trying
to
make
sure
that
this
is.
F
F
F
If
you
are
of
military
personnel
and
you're
recovering
from
ptsd,
you
have
20
weeks
of
paid.
F
Leave
and
that's
done
through
the
statewide
average
weekly
wage.
It's
done
a
calculation
so.
F
F
F
Into
this
for
20
weeks,
you
receive
a
little
bit
less
right,
and
so
that's
for
your
personal.
F
And
individuals
that
are
caregivers
and
looking
to
help
you
know
their
loved
ones.
Parents.
F
Their
children
and
anybody
within
the
house,
you
know
working
to
expand
the
definition
of
family.
F
That
doesn't
look
the
same
for
everybody
right.
That's
12,
weeks
of
paid
family
or
medical
leave.
F
And
so
we're
really
proud
of
the
legislation.
So
far
like
I
said,
we've
had
really
great
both.
F
Sides
of
the
aisle
engaging
in
it
and
supporting
it
and
pushing
it
forward,
but
as
of
right
now,.
F
On
the
front
lines
and
engaging
with
legislators,
and
so
my
first
plug
of
the
of
my
presentation.
F
And
so
sometimes
that's
a
text
blast.
You
know
saying,
send
something
out
on
your
twitter
and
use.
F
The
family
care
act
or
it's
sending
a
direct
email
to
your
legislator
with
an
email
itself.
F
And
so
that
goes
a
long
way,
but
what
megan
is
meghan's
egregiously
referenced
earlier.
F
Right
now
we're
trying
to
collect
as
many
stories
as
we
can.
We've
learned
that
the
power.
F
Can
recreate
them
with
a
photo
of
you
and
your
family
or
somebody
else,
but
especially
videos.
F
F
And
say
why:
why
does
paid
leave
affect
you?
Why
would
paid
leave
help
you
and
you
know,
we've.
F
F
F
Coveted
really
showed
that
you
know
not.
Everyone
does,
and
I
think
first
and
foremost,
though,.
F
F
Were
affected
this
way
and
it
has
become
a
higher
priority,
and
so
the
family
care
act
right
now.
F
Is
first
and
foremost
on
all
of
our
plates
and
pushed
forward
and
trying
to
connect
to
the.
F
Once
again,
we're
always
looking
for
more
stories,
and
I
encourage
you
to
look
at
the
family
carex.
F
Their
stories
already
or
email
me
directly
if
you
would
be
interested
in
either
collecting.
F
Stories
for
us
or
sharing
your
store
yourself.
My
email
is
anna,
a
n
n,
a
dennycivicsolutions.com.
F
And
that's
d-e-n-n-y
civic
solutions,
but
yeah.
I
just
could
not
appreciate
it.
F
F
To
megan,
as
our
coalition
representative,
to
get
her
take
on
this
on
the
campaign,
thank
you.
E
Awesome
job
anna
and
just
to
provide
a
perspective
as
an
organization.
That's.
E
Close
to
you
know
a
year
and
a
half
our
monthly
campaign
calls
if
you
can
think
of.
E
E
E
E
Legislation
that
would
create
that
option
for
folks
in
pa,
so
just
making
sure
to
raise
awareness.
E
Population
has
grown
in
the
last
18
months,
so
I'm
proud
to
say
center
for
women
helped
recruit.
E
A
non-birthing
parent
to
tell
their
story
and
that's
an
example
of
you
know
the
types
of.
E
Inclusive
stories
we
can
tell
to
show
cause,
I
think
many
times
in
the
in
the
paid
family.
E
Pretty
specific
narratives
there
and
I
think
that
when
cara
told
their
story
it
was
it
was
really.
E
Powerful
and
and
what
an
advocate
you
know
cara
is
for
paid
family
leave
in
her
workplace.
E
E
Simply
connected
her
with
anna
and
the
rest,
you
know
is
history,
so
she
she
helped
shape.
E
That
story
to
compel
legislators
to
see
that
people
like
cara
adoptive
parents,.
E
Deserve
the
same
leave
options
as
as
those
who,
maybe
are
birthing
parents.
So
that's
one.
E
Example,
but
I
think
the
other
pieces
are
and
anna
correct
me
if
I'm
wrong,
you
are
interested
in.
E
Caregivers
who
identify
as
male
right,
you
absolutely
yeah.
So
that's
definitely
a
focus.
E
F
I'd
say,
I
don't
think
we
have
a
hard
time
frame
right
now,
but
because
of
our
bipartisan
support.
F
We
are
expecting
this
to
move
quickly.
We
have
especially
hope
in
the
senate
right
now,
so
we're.
F
Really
happy
about
that
and
we're
calling
on
you
know,
l.
I
members
right
now
to
be
pushing
this.
F
To
a
vote,
we
were
able,
before
the
covid
hit
us
last
year
to
have
a
meeting
or
pardon
me
a
hearing.
F
In
the
senate
in
harrisburg-
and
we
had
a
lot
of
people
interested,
it
was
a
packed
room.
Definitely.
F
Not
coveted
safe
then,
but
it
was
great
to
see
you
know
the
level
of
engagement
and
the.
F
F
Fantastic
testimony
from
a
lot
of
our
partners
that
are
within
the
care
campaign
right
now,.
F
So
we're
hopeful
but
yeah
we
don't
have
it
passed
right
now.
It's
not
up
for
a
vote.
F
Right
now,
but
we
are
hopeful,
it'll
be
moving
forward,
especially
as
we've
like
brought
in
the.
F
A
Or
comments
yes,
commissioner:
ramy
jesse
megan
anna.
Thank
you
so
much
for
being
here
to.
D
D
This
campaign,
because
you
all
are
doing
such
amazing
work,
you
know,
and
you
all
helped.
D
D
D
To
get
some
of
this
done
at
the
state
level,
I
wondered
amanda
is
this
something
we
could
put.
A
A
Would
be
most
helpful
for
you
all
from
us
in
terms
of
continuing
that
support
of
this
really.
A
E
What
sounds
like
some
in-person
activities
at
the
end
of
august
for
black
breastfeeding.
E
Week
so
I'm
I'm
really
interested
in
if
you,
if
you
learn
about
in-person
events
being
a.
E
How
the
fall
and
winter
look
with
with
covid
so
would
love
to
if
you're.
If
you
hear
about.
E
An
in-person
event
that
you
think
would
be
a
great
place
to
capture
stories
from
participants.
E
And
attend
so
that
would
be
my
request
and
I'm
sure
anna
has
all
kinds
of
ideas
for
what
you.
E
F
Is
a
lot
of
individual
advocacy
for
this?
You
know
it's
relying
on
networks,
it's
making
sure.
F
With
people
on
one
by
one-on-one
basis,
the
better,
so
I
always
want
to
reference
our
the
family.
F
Care
act
right
now
is
housing,
what
we
call
a
story
corner,
and
so
we
have
a
lot
of
single
a
lot.
F
F
Been
paid
for
that
time
off,
you
know,
I
think,
that's
the
most
valuable
thing,
because
people.
F
F
Ten
hours
and
then
having
to
go
home
take
care
of
somebody.
You
know
if
you
have
a
family.
F
Of
your
loved
ones
is
a
priority
here,
and
those
are
instances
where
you
should
really
be
able
to.
F
F
That
with
you
but
yeah
it
is,
it
is
a
lot
of
hands-on
one-on-one
work
yeah,
because
those.
F
It's
important
but
yeah,
I'm
so
excited
you're,
you're
interested
in
sharing
more.
Thank
you.
E
Well-
and
I
wonder
too,
I
hope
this
isn't.
You
know
uncouth,
but
I
wonder
if
there
might
be.
A
Phrases
around
that,
so
no
I
mean
it's
important
and
you
know
I
I
I
think
that's
a
possibility.
A
At
that,
because
I'm
not
gonna
name
anyone
but
I
think
there's
a
distinct
possibility.
A
A
A
A
Because
I
mean
that's
the
biggest
tool
that
we
have
as
a
commission.
Thank
you
so
so
so
so.
A
So
much
for
all
of
the
work
that
you're
doing.
I
can
tell
you
as
a
new
parent,
that
I
am
so.
A
I
will
that's
all
I
will
say
on
that,
but
again
thank
you.
Morgan
for
for
facilitating.
A
This
presentation
and
we
will
follow
up
and
we
will.
We
will
ensure
that
we
find
a
way
to.
A
A
If
any
commissioners
do
decide
to
share
personal
stories,
they
just
reach
out
to
you.
Anna.
A
40.,
so
jordan,
I
know
that
you
have
some
updates
and
also
we're
eager
to
see
you,
because
you
know.
A
To
turn
it
over
to
you
now
to
share
your
important
updates
sure,
so
I
really
only
have
one
large.
H
Actually,
no
technically,
I
have
two,
the
first
one
being
that
the
lgbtqia
plus
commission.
H
Actually
just
selected
their
officers,
so
they
have
three
co-chairs.
They
will
likely.
H
The
process
of
writing
as
a
collective
and
and
publicizing
the
commission's
work.
H
People
who
have
you
know
serious
experience
in
the
community,
but
also
are
very
much
committed
to.
H
The
work
of
the
commission
so
very
excited
for
them.
My
last
meeting
with
them
was
last.
H
Center
in
the
south
side,
you
are
all
welcome
to
join
just,
let
me
know
if
you
do
plan
on
coming.
H
Down
so
those
are
the
two
main
items
that
I
have
for
y'all.
I
know
I
mentioned
the
executive.
A
Thank
you
so
much
jordan.
So,
first
of
all
how
exciting
for
the
lgbtqia
plus
commission.
A
Appreciate
your
work
on
that
commission.
Thank
you
again
for
the
reminder,
and
so.
A
Reach
out
to
you
directly
yeah,
that
would
be
great
if
you
just
want
to
either
message
me
or
shoot.
H
H
Just
shoot
me
an
email
and
I'll
make
sure
that
I
know
you're
coming.
A
And
then
I
will
turn
it
over
to
commissioners
for
questions.
I
do
want
to
put
it
out
there,
though,.
A
Have
you
I
know
that
their
the
leadership
was
just
named,
so
who
would
be
the
best
person
to
follow.
A
A
Excuse
me,
the
bathroom,
the
bathroom,
the
bathroom
accessibility
work.
I
can
connect
you
with.
I
I
know
how
excited
commissioners
are
to
support
that
work,
and
so
you
know,
while
we
have
you.
A
You
know
you're
such
an
important
connection,
you
so
between
us.
A
A
You've
been
great,
and
I
know
I
can
say
we
have
appreciated
all
the
important
information
that.
A
Know
we
certainly
look
forward
to
working
with
whoever
you
know
partners
with
us
in
the.
A
A
We
know
that
you're
going
to
do
great
things.
Please
just
don't
forget
us
as
you
you
know,
climb.
A
J
J
Mayor's
office
is
in
the
whirlwind
of
chaos,
which
is
understandable,
with
the
primary
results.
J
I've
left
instructions
for
the
next
meetings,
but
the
mayor's
office
will
be
deciding.
J
What
they
decide
so
good
luck
and
thank
you
and
if
there
are
any
questions,
let
me
know.
A
A
To
say
that,
as
we
all
know,
transitioning
from
one
administration
to
another
is
always.
A
And
support,
as
our
inaugural
executive
director
departs
us,
and
so
I
do
want
to
thank
them.
A
A
With
our
inaugural
e.d,
and
thank
you
anew
that
we
are
looking
forward
to
the
support
that.
A
Presence
and
over
these
last
few
years,
so
thank
you
so
much
for
that,
and
so
mr
pyatt.
A
We
are
excited
to
have
you,
and
so
we
are
not
having
public
comment
today,
but
so
we
have.
A
Learn
about
so
about
10
minutes
or
so
for
presentation
and
then
we'll
have
some
time
for
q
a.
A
A
In
the
administration
and
then
go
ahead
and
share
yeah
yeah,
so
I'm
here
to
talk
about
the.
K
K
And
so
the
last
one's.
What
I'm
here
to
talk
about
the
principal
product.
K
K
We
have
to
make
or
or
strategies
that
we
could
most
efficiently
employ
to
reach
our
goals.
K
And
a
lot
of
tools
that
we
might
use
to
help
solve
financial
problems
like
loans
or.
K
And
pages
of
fine
print,
and
so
if
folks
are
going
to
succeed
at
this
stuff,
they
need.
K
Somebody
to
help
them
right
and-
and
we
know
you
know
through
a
lot
of
the
equity
research.
K
K
That's
one
way
that
that
inequity
is
perpetuated
is
by
preventing
access
to
information,
whether.
K
K
Mortgage
preventing
that
access
to
information
prevents
people
from
fully
participating
in.
K
Systems
and
that
not
you
know,
exacerbates
or
perpetuates
inequity.
So
that's
what
we're.
K
Trying
to
solve
or
nip
in
the
bud,
if
you
will
so
what
we
do
at
the
sec
is.
We
have
four.
K
K
K
K
K
Have
that
for
everybody,
it's
just
straight
up,
so
I
want
to
share
my
screen
and
just
show
you.
K
Our
pretty
new
web
page
because
we
worked
on
it
really
hard,
but
so
first
off
this
is
the
fec.
K
K
And
alicia
they
are
the
staff
and
what
happens
when
someone
wants
to
participate
with
the
fbc
is.
K
We'll
set
up
an
appointment
right
now,
it's
all
remote.
Normally
we
these
four
of
these.
K
People
consecutive
manager
rotate
to
different
neighborhood
centers.
So
once
we,
you
know,
maybe.
K
Where
the
counselors
are
going
to
use
more
of
their
like
kind
of
social
worker
type,
training.
K
K
At
like
what
their
impediments
to
success
are
like
emotionally,
what's
freaking
them
out.
K
And
what
their
big
goals
are
and
then
start
to
begin
to
figure
out
how
to
gather
up
relevant.
K
K
Ura
or
bridgeway
or
rci,
and
then
we'll
figure
out
you
can
work
with
them
to
figure
out.
You
know.
K
K
In
my
hands
to
begin
the
process,
you
know
and
in
order
to
do
that
and
then
the
financial.
K
Counselor
will
help
that
person
manage
their
personal
finances
and
perhaps
improve
their
credit.
K
So
that
they
can,
you
know,
get
to
the
front
door
of
receiving
service
from
those.
K
Small
business,
technical
assistance
providers,
so
you
know
we
really
do
whatever
the
heck.
K
K
K
K
Show
them
what's
going
on
and
they'll
help
you
figure
it
out,
but
that's
I
mean
it
really
is.
K
As
simple
as
it
sounds
right
like
we,
we
took
some
awesome
professional
nonprofit
workers
who.
K
K
And
then
we
set
them
loose
out
to
benefit
the
citizens
of
pittsburgh
and
that's
it.
K
K
K
Individuals
now
and
they
have
collectively
reduced
their
debt
by.
K
Here
it
is
1.6
million
dollars;
they
collectively
increase
their
savings
by
1.3.
K
Million
dollars
so
we're
doing
good
and
we've
been
seeing
an
uptick
in
traffic.
Since,
let's
say.
K
Last
summer,
but
we
have
about
a
third
of
our
capacity
going
on
newsbreakers
and
as
much
as
I.
K
You
know
evangelizing
is
the
favor
I'm
asking
for
yeah
but
who's.
Your
question.
K
All
righty
jeffy.
K
Yeah,
let
me
show
you
my
client
dashboard
and
thank
you.
This
is
so
exciting.
K
Yeah,
we
know
that
the
vast
majority
of
our
clients-
it's
like
55
or
women,
but
60-
are
black.
A
Take
your
time
as
you're
pulling
that
up,
while
henry
is
getting
that,
if
he's
able
to.
A
Anybody
else
have
any
questions
or
comments.
I
do
so
this
harkens
back
to
a
couple
years.
B
Yeah
you're,
not
a
hero,
beverage,
that's
wonderful,
because
we
were
curious
about
how
this
very
I.
B
B
What
are
what
would
be
the
best
way
for
for
the
financial,
empowerment,
centers
and
our
aauw.
B
K
Yeah,
so
knowing
full
well
that
you
know,
elections
will
continue
to
happen.
K
Those
humans
are
not
employees
of
the
city
of
pittsburgh,
but
rather
they
are
employees
of
a.
K
For
like
20
years,
so
so
through
an
rsp
process,
we
selected
them
and
that's
for
this
reason
right.
K
Like
I
don't
want
this
to
change,
you
know
and,
to
be
perfectly
frank,
the
way
it's
funded.
K
I
been
working
with
her
for
oh
geez,
I
don't
know
nine
20
years,
but
anyway
her
and
I.
K
Work
together
to
raise
funds
for
a
complete
suite
of
financial
wellness
products,
including.
K
The
free
tax
prep
through
united
way,
including
fund
my
future,
including.
K
The
bank
on
program-
and
so
it's
only
30
000
a
year
of
city
general.
K
Less
than
10,
and
so
if
that
happened,
to
go
away
or
something
you
know
it's,
okay,
it's
not.
K
The
end
of
the
world,
that
said,
I
think
the
city
should
pay
for
it
fully
like
recycling.
K
A
Was
the
cross
referencing
and
how
we
can
how
how
the
the
workforce
equity
work.
K
Okay,
so
for
me
I
look
at
processes
right
so
like
what?
What
are
the
processes
that.
K
K
K
K
K
Prevention
program,
which
provides
emergency
grants
to
help
people
pay
the
rent
for
up.
K
To
five
quarters
in
a
row
15
months
and
so
there's
a
whole
process
to
that,
like
you.
K
K
K
You
know
so
that
needs
to
be
the
focus,
then.
So
what
we're
going
to
do
now
is
like
once.
K
A
A
A
A
And
and
the
gender
analysis
and
perhaps
and
the
workforce,
equity
committees
yeah
absolutely.
K
C
So
that
way,
there
can
be
that
conversation
with
the
workforce
equity
committee,
so
you'll
at.
C
K
K
Time
just
to
see
how
stuff
is
going,
you
can
see
that
we've
served
a
1019
individual,
unique.
K
And
so
I
think
we
got
20
out
of
that,
but
to
look
at
the
humans
we
serve,
they
are
67.
K
I
was
wrong
about
that
which
you
know
stands
to
reason
when
you
think
about
the
fact
that
women.
K
Educational
materials
or
information
right,
like
my
mom,
for
example,
suffered
from
that
norm.
K
Is
radically
different
from
the
actual
makeup
of
the
city,
which
is
like
a
quarter
black.
K
That's
the
big
popular
group
yeah,
so
yeah
we
do
have
disaggregated
data,
but
I
can't
show
you.
A
K
That
is
easy.
Oh,
I
think
I
have
a
little
youtube
video
too,
like
I'm,
not
that
I
need
to
show
you,
but.
K
Cute
little
animation,
the
county
dhs
folks
made
it
for
us
yeah,
so
I'll
find
that
to
share.
A
Lives
in
the
real
way,
so
I
I
do
want
to
just
say
that
seriously
great
work
and
thank
you.
K
K
A
Given
the
tough
financial
state,
people
are
in,
especially,
you
know,
women
and
non-binary.
A
This
is
very
exciting
and
I
know
as
long
as
you're
with
us
it.
I
know
I'm
excited
about
the.
A
Gec
working
with
you
to
really
kind
of
again
gel
that
financial
piece
and
to
get
the
word
out.
K
K
Scheduling
that
work
session
regarding
is
it
entrepreneurs
or
job
seekers.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
So
they're
free
of
charge
to
anyone
who
wants
to
attend
them
and
so
yeah,
it's
it's
just
again.
We.
A
A
A
Know,
symbiosis
there,
and
so
now
that
you're
established
you
know
it's
exciting
to
see
the.
A
A
Again,
thank
you
so
much
janet
for,
for
kind
of
you
know
putting
it
out
there
to
get.
K
Efficient
way
for
them
to
make
good
referrals
to
you,
but
then
yeah,
I
would
love
to
get
referrals.
A
I
would
say
you
know:
we've
gotten
together
we
had
some
remarks.
We
had
two.
A
A
Many
people
are
doing
out
there
and
the
many
ways
that
we
can
all
support
again.
You
know
this.
A
Is
you
know
not
goodbye,
but
you
know
red
anew
is
this
is
a
news
final
meeting
with.
A
The
gender
equity
commission,
jordan
fields
final
meeting
with
the
gender
equity
commission.
