While
she's
approaching
mr
chairman,
this
property
is
a
non-contributing
property
in
the
historic
overlay
district,
it
was
constructed
in
1937,
but
the
surveyors
of
the
2010
historic
resource
survey
cited
a
number
of
alterations
that
impacted
the
some
of
the
significant
features.
So
that's
why
it's
non-contributing.

sheetrock
at
some
point
in
time,
part
of
the
the
kitchen.
When
we
were
working
in
there,
we
discovered
still
had
the
old
plaster
with
the
lathes
and
the
the
whole
nine
yards,

kind
of
neat
still
intact,
but
that
corner,
I'm
pretty
sure,
is
sheetrock
and
it's
a
covered
in
a
refrigerator
there.
Now,
so
you
know
there's
no
use
for
that.
What's
whatsoever,
I
would
have
loved
to
have
had
the
exposed
brick.

chimney

chimney
that
the
decorative
ceramic
pieces

sitting
on
is
removed
down
to
the
roof
level.
So
it
can
be
roofed
over
and
also
with
the
new
prefab
chimney.

It
turned
out
in
the
interim
that
it
really
wasn't
owned,
but
it
was
under
a
100
year
lease
which
had
been
signed
in
early
1950s
to
54.
I
think
it
was
and
they've
been
paying
for
this
lease
and
the
county
has
subsequently
paid
for
the
lease
through
the
end
of
the
lease
period,
but
it
is
it
later.
The
it
was
owned
by
the
by
a
board.

Our
intent
and
the
county's
intent
is
that
the
srs
museum
will
be
located
in
a
county
building
that
this
building
will
become
property
of
the
county
and
will
become
part
of
the
aitkin
county.
Historical
museum,
complex
and
the
county
agrees
with
this,
but
they
just
haven't
figured
out
a
way
to
make
it
happen.
Yet.

such
a
scenario
as
this
before,

held

a
defunct
body
that
has
now
transferred
authority
