A
Afternoon,
welcome
it's
Wednesday
November
10th
I
met
a
little
after
two
o'clock
about
206,
it's
50
degrees
outside
cloudy
feels
like
it's
46
outside
and
believe
me.
I
was
just
out
there.
It
does
like
feel,
like
46
degrees
happenings
around
the
city
start
with
engineering
and
Public
Works.
The
big
thing
that
I've
got
in
front
of
me
is
Franklin.
Avenue,
repaving,
milling
and
paving
activities
are
expected
to
be
completed
by
the
11th.
So
tomorrow.
A
Hopefully,
actually
thursday
that'll
be
completed
and
see
parking
on
the
side
of
the
street
will
be
allowed,
will
not
be
allowed
during
the
scheduled
work.
There's
going
to
be
a
24-hour
work
zone
in
that
area
during
the
work
days,
so
just
be
cognizant
of
that
no
parking
that
area,
while
the
paving
is
going
on
this
weekend
is
veterans
day.
Friday
is
Veterans
Day
November
11th
there
will
be
a
parade
that
is
going
to
impact
a
fair
amount
of
the
city.
A
Let
me
kind
of
start
there,
because
so
that
everyone's
aware
of
where
the
parade
is
going
to
go,
it's
going
to
start
on
Morris
Avenue.
It
will
then
turn
left
onto
east
state
street
turn
right
onto
carpenter
street
turn
left
on
north
court,
it'll
travel,
the
length
of
court
street
down
to
union
street
and
then
it'll
turn
left
onto
east
union,
and
then
the
parade
will
terminate
at
the
college
screen
in
front
of
the
Veterans
Memorial.
That's
right.
A
They're
also
be
a
proclamation
for
Jose
de
mistura's
of
Athens,
who
also
served
in
the
65th
Infantry
Regiment
and
was
receptive
recipient
of
the
Congressional
Gold
Medal,
which
only
159
individuals
have
been
bestow
that
award
and
then
we'll
also
be
a
veteran's
day
poem
that
has
been
written
and
will
be
read
by
Ellison
Stein,
the
city
of
Athens
poet,
laureate.
The
parking
garage
will
be
closed
at
five
p.m.
on
friday
november
11th
through
6
a.m.
A
monday,
the
14th,
in
order
to
resurface
the
entrance
area
of
the
facility
for
anyone
who's
come
in
they're
driven
into
the
parking
garage.
You've
noticed,
there's
a
big
black
stripe
of
sorts
on
the
exit
portion
as
you're
exiting
from
the
parking
garage
that
will
be
corrected
again
over
the
weekend.
So
just
beware:
the
parking
garage
for
the
parking
garage
maintenance.
A
A
A
Again
is
where
that's
going
to
be
taking
place.
Also,
it
arts
west
is
the
opening
reception
of
a
new
performance
space,
a
new
performance
space
art
in
November,
it's
watercolors
by
Pam,
Callahan,
Callahan,
Jane,
Baird
and
Lisa
sure
the
opening
reception
is
free
and
open
to
the
public
taking
place
on
Monday
November
14th
from
6
30
to
8
30
p.m.
the
pieces
will
be
on
display
its
art,
sweat
in
arts,
West
performance
space
from
started
november,
seventh,
so
last
monday,
and
will
run
through
the
29th.
A
So
please
come
and
check
that
out
and
the
2016
arts
west
benefit
madrigal
dinner,
which
is
a
medieval-style
holiday
feast.
This
is
going
to
be
Saturday.
December
third
doors
open
at
5pm
fanfare
begins
at
six
pm
featuring
festival,
food
provided
by
chef,
Matt,
Rapa,
Sully,
entertainment
and
refreshments
are
in
amusements,
we've
provided
by
a
number
of
individuals.
A
So
again,
it's
tickets
are
fifty
dollars,
there's
limited
seating,
so
you
can
get
the
tickets
at
arts
west
or
by
calling
740
5924
315,
so
something
to
look
forward
to
in
December
the
beginning
december
and
one
other
happening
around
the
city.
This
is
November
eighteenth.
It's
going
to
be
the
Athens
photographic
project
probably
presents
earth
a
pop-up
exhibit
of
earth
and
art
photography
located
on
campus
of
the
Appalachian
behavioral
healthcare
and
hopewell
health
centers
again,
this
is
out
on
West
Union.
A
It's
an
outdoor
exhibit
opening
at
8am
to
5pm
daily
now
through
the
18th
so
come
and
check
that
out
again,
it's
at
100
hospital
drive,
which
is
right
off
of
West
Union
again
worth
checking
out.
Finally,
I
have
to
give
huge
credit
to
Scott
Thompson
and
his
crew
for
constantly
exploring
new
ways
in
which
we
can
get
information
out
to
the
city,
not
to
our
residents.
A
Aside
from
what
I
present
on
wednesday
or
during
my
press
conferences,
this
is
a
kind
of
instruction
on
how
to
sign
up
and
receive
emergency
news
releases
from
the
city
of
athens.
You
can
do
this
by
going
to
ww
ethan's
ready
a
th
en
s,
capital,
R,
EA,
D,
Y,
Athens,
ready
calm.
Now
the
Athens
ready
calms
the
city's
newest
resource
to
help
you
keep
up
to
date
with
the
latest
news
of
emergencies
such
as
boil
orders.
A
So
it
is
always
great
to
be
ahead
of
the
power
curve
and
knowing,
when
those
are
coming
into
effect
or
one
of
their
being
imposed,
you
also
have
the
option
to
receive
text.
Email
voice
calls
voice
phone
calls
for
these
news
releases.
Again:
that's
Athens,
ready,
calm
capital,
eight
th
en
s,
capital,
r
e,
ad
Y
dot
com.
A
That
pretty
much
concludes
the
press
conference
for
the
week
of
november
seventh
and
we
will
likely
be
moving
forward.
The
press
release
for
next
week
because
I
will
be
from
Wednesday
through
Friday
I,
will
be
attending
the
National
League
of
Cities
in
Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania,
so
likely
to
have
the
press
conference
next
week
on
Tuesday,
as
opposed
to
wednesday
hope
to
see.
You
then
have
a
great
week.
