If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Hello,
my
name
is
Vincent
Creole,
the
city's
public
affairs
manager
and
I'm
here
to
deliver
today's
be
prepared
to
report.
This
is
being
recorded
on
Wednesday
June
3rd
2020
at
1:30
in
the
afternoon.
We
missed
you
in
this
venue
yesterday,
but
we
had
a
good
wife
stream
for
mayor
Gillick
during
the
city
council
meeting,
we'll
have
more
on
that
in
a
minute
today,
the
Mississippi
State
Department
of
Health
reports
that
302
new
cases
of
the
corona
virus
or
identified
statewide
in
the
past
24
hours.
A
This
pushes
the
new
total
number
of
cases
since
March
to
sixteen
thousand
three
hundred
and
twenty-two.
The
department
also
reports
that
in
the
past
24
hours
there
have
been
fifteen
new
deaths
attributed
to
the
corona
virus.
This
chart
shows
you
the
total
number
of
cases
statewide
since
the
crisis
began.
One
thing
to
note
about
this
chart
is
this:
these
numbers
will
never
come
down.
This
is
the
total
number
of
cases
and
deaths.
One
number
that
also
bears
watching
is
the
total
number
of
new
cases
throughout
the
state
over
a
14
day
period.
A
A
One
number
that
mayor
diligent
in
use
to
watch
closely
is
the
trend.
Are
the
average
number
of
cases
you
can
see?
That
number
was
as
low
as
1.5
on
May
27th
a
week
ago
today
and
overtime
26
new
cases
pushed
that
average
to
three
point:
zero.
Seven.
The
number
has
come
down
to
two
point:
nine
three
today,
but
it's
again,
one
village
continues
to
watch
in
Hancock
County.
A
The
State
Department
of
Health
reported
a
decrease
of
one
case
from
yesterday
for
a
total
of
90
since
day,
one
in
Jackson
County
had
one
new
case
in
the
past
24
hours
bringing
its
total
to
309.
Also
one
death
was
reported
in
Jackson
County.
In
the
past
24
hours,
mayor
Gillis
gave
the
City
Council
a
kovat
19
status
report
during
the
City
Council
live
stream
on
Tuesday
night
council
members
also
made
a
number
of
comments
and
the
meeting
even
had
a
group
of
young
people
carrying
signs.
A
You
can
hear
the
mayor's
report,
the
council
members
reports
and
see
the
signs
right
now
on
the
city's
youtube
channel
to
go.
There
visit
the
city
website,
click
on
the
YouTube
icon
on
the
top
right
and
go
to
City
Council
meetings,
I
think
you'll
find
it
very
informative.
We
also
want
to
thank
the
pastor,
Chadwick
Kraft
and
the
Pentecostals
of
the
Gulf
Coast
for
visiting
City
Hall
yesterday.
A
One
other
thing
that
you
should
be
aware
of
there
is
now
a
tropical
storm
Cristobal
that
is
expected
to
be
in
the
center
of
the
Gulf
of
Mexico
south
of
Louisiana
on
Sunday
morning.
This
map
from
the
National
Weather
Service
shows
Cristobal
and
the
core
of
uncertainty
through
Monday
morning
now,
mayor
Gila
has
cautioned
us
against
alarming
anybody.
So
please
know
this.
This
is
no
cause
for
alarm.
Continue
to
monitor
local
weather
reports.
Read
the
storm
and
flood
information
that
you
should
have
received
on
Friday
or
Saturday.
A
It
tells
you
everything
you
need
to
know
and
do
right
now.
The
messages
monitor
weather
reports
make
a
plan
and
work
that
plan.
The
good
news
is
and
that
June
issue
of
be
news.
The
city's
monthly
newsletter
that
arrived
in
your
mailbox
on
Friday
or
Saturday.
We
gave
you
all
the
timely
and
easy
to
understand,
storm
and
flood
information
that
you
could
need
just
follow.
The
playbook
and
you'll
be
fine.
A
One
thing
is
for
certain
wherever
it
makes
landfall
and
they're
saying
Louisiana
right
now,
you're
going
to
be
hearing
more
about
the
storm
over
the
next
few
days.
As
we
say
frequently,
please
pay
attention
and
eat
the
advice.
We
also
remind
you
of
the
basics
on
kovat
19,
frequent,
hand-washing
and
social
distancing
remain
the
rules
of
the
day.
A
Incidentally,
we
appreciate
the
growing
audience
for
these
be
prepared
reports
which
we've
been
doing
since
March
22nd
more
than
60
of
them
with
an
audience
that
is
now
between
seven
and
eight
thousand.
On
most
days,
a
few
weeks
ago,
we
transition
to
Monday
through
Friday
reports.
Mayor
Gillett
has
now
authorized
us
to
transition
further
to
perhaps
a
Monday,
Wednesday
and
Friday
schedule,
which
we
will
look
at
next
week.
Our
ultimate
goal
is
to
end
up
producing
a
weekly
public
affairs
program,
each
Friday
with
the
weekend
preview.
A
This
will
replace
the
weekly
city
desk
podcast
that
we
discontinued
some
time
ago.
We'll
keep
you
posted.
We
leave
you
today
with
an
encore
of
a
special
video
about
our
little
city
and,
quite
frankly,
it
explains
how
we
got
where
we
are
today.
That's
today's
report.
Stay
safe
and
we'll
see
you
again
tomorrow,.
B
In
1810,
Biloxi's
population
was
counted
at
just
420.
A
year
later,
after
a
century
of
French,
British
and
Spanish
rule
Mississippi
became
the
20th
state
in
the
Union
and
Biloxi
began
to
grow,
as
Biloxi
became
a
popular
summer
resort.
The
Mississippi
Gulf
Coast
became
known
as
the
American
Riviera
by
mid-century
Biloxi
had
become
the
most
important
of
the
Gulf
Coast's
resort
towns.
Then
in
1861
Mississippi
seceded
from
the
United
States.
The
civil
war
had
begun
after
the
war
recovery
along
the
Gulf
Coast
was
slow
but
picked
up
momentum.
B
With
the
arrival
of
the
railroad
in
the
1870s,
tourists
began
to
return
and
distant
markets
were
opened
up
for
a
burgeoning
new
industry.
Seafood
by
1904
Biloxi
was
known
as
the
seafood
capital
of
the
world
with
the
demand
for
labor
high
polish
Acadian
French
and
Slovak
workers
came
to
work
in
Biloxi
Seafood
industry
as
the
seafood
and
timber
industries
boomed.
This
rich
mix
of
cultures
was
joined
by
Greeks
Irish
Italians,
African
Americans
and
after
the
late
1970s
Vietnamese,
a
wide
variety
of
traditions
were
born
of
this
diversity.
Through
the
decades.
B
Many
cultural
organizations
have
regularly
held
celebrations
with
contests
food,
music
and
dance
Mardi
Gras,
the
oldest
and
most
popular
celebration
began
in
1891.
It
was
held
sporadically
until
1908
when
it
became
an
annual
event
with
the
crowning
of
the
first
king
D'iberville
and
queen
excellent
Biloxi
spelled
backwards.
I've.
C
Known
Monte
girl,
all
my
life
and
we
were
always
getting
prepared
and
then
on
Tuesday
morning
is
when
all
the
excitement
and
fun
began.
My
daddy
would
get
up
at
the
crack
of
dawn,
we'd
load
his
car
and
then
he
would
go
out
to
the
boat
for
King
Diavel
landing
and
then
of
course,
my
mother
and
my
sister.
Now
we
were
in
charge
of
the
maids
and
the
Queen.
B
For
many
years,
the
Biloxi
firemen's
parade
now
known
as
the
Biloxi
firefighters,
Day
Parade,
was
Biloxi's.
Second,
most
popular
event.
In
1888,
with
Biloxi
Seafood
industry
thriving
the
first
schooner
races
were
held,
the
races,
a
weekly
event
gained
national
attention
and
were
held
until
1933
overflow
crowds,
cheered
from
the
Biloxi
Yacht
Club,
as
the
white
winged
queen
spied
for
the
winning
prize,
a
keg
of
beer
from
1922
to
1934,
the
Biloxi
Elks
Club
sponsored
a
fourth
of
July
celebration
that
featured
bathing
beauty
contests
and
sailing
races.
Sailing
regattas
were
held
throughout
the
summer.
B
Since
1929,
the
annual
blessing
of
the
fleet
has
been
held
at
the
beginning
of
the
shrimping
season.
As
the
decorated
boats
pass
in
parade
the
Catholic
priest
blesses.
Each
one
and
prays
for
the
safety
of
the
fishermen
and
for
a
good
catch
and
since
1948,
the
annual
deep-sea
fishing
rodeo,
has
attracted
anglers
from
all
over
the
coast
to
compete
for
cash
prizes.
B
During
the
early
20th
century,
Biloxi
continued
to
grow
electricity,
a
Street
Railway
system
and
telephone
service
were
added.
A
paved
highway
was
built
along
the
beach
and
in
1928
a
new
seawall
was
dedicated.
More
hotels
were
constructed
as
tourism
increased
after
World
War
2
Biloxi
once
again
became
a
popular
vacation
destination.
Keesler
Army
Airfield
had
survived
demobilization
to
become
Keesler,
Air,
Force,
Base
and
his
other
bases
closed.
B
Keeler's
population
grew
Engineers
transformed
highway
90
into
a
four-lane
highway
and,
at
the
same
time,
sand
was
pumped
from
the
sound
to
form
a
300-foot
sloping
beach
as
a
buffer
to
the
seawall.
The
white
sand.
Beach
quickly
became
a
tourist
attraction
for
those
coming
in
droves
on
the
new
superhighway.
D
B
D
First
star
that
I
really
remember
was
Dave
Gardner.
He
was
sort
of
a
southern
Lenny
Bruce.
He
and
his
heyday
would
draw
more
people
into
the
nightclub
than
any
other
performer
that
was
standing
room
only
when
they
performed
there
were
others
like
Mamie,
Van,
Doren
and
Jerry,
Van,
Dyke
and
Jayne
Mansfield,
of
course,
and
then
Gene
Warren
the
four
myths.
So
there
are
a
lot
of
people
that
actually
started
on
the
coast.
B
Place
an
inland
nightclub
popular
with
the
locals,
brought
in
Hank
Williams
senior,
the
just
beginning,
Elvis
Presley
and
Jerry
Lee
Lewis,
who,
in
keeping
with
his
onstage
style,
practically
tore
up
the
piano.
During
this
time,
Jimmy
loved
jr.
began
marketing
his
White
House
and
Buena
Vista
hotels
as
potential
convention
centers
others
followed.
His
lead
in
Biloxi
became
a
convention
destination
as
well
as
a
mecca
for
tourists.
B
Then
in
1969,
Hurricane
Camille
wrought
destruction
on
the
Mississippi
Gulf
Coast
in
the
wake
of
the
storm
that
people
picked
themselves
up
and
began
to
rebuild.
Biloxi's
economy
recovered
slowly
until
1992,
when
the
state
of
Mississippi,
legalized,
dockside
gaming,
igniting
the
biggest
economic
boom
in
Biloxi's
history,
then
in
August,
2005
Hurricane
Katrina
brought
all
of
that
to
a
standstill.
B
Katrina
hit
the
Mississippi
Gulf
Coast
with
high
winds,
heavy
rains
and
a
twenty
six
and
a
half
foot
storm
surge,
causing
massive
damage
to
the
area
and
killing
53
people,
5,000
businesses
and
homes
and
Biloxi
were
destroyed
as
they
had
throughout
history.
The
people
of
Biloxi
would
gather
the
strength
to
rebuild
the
Beau
Rivage
reopened
just
one
year
to
the
day
after
Katrina.
Today.
Biloxi
is
once
again
a
major
vacation
destination,
offering
a
wealth
of
outdoor
activities
outstanding,
seafood
and
casino
gambling
welcome.
