A
Hi
welcome
thanks.
Thanks
for.
A
Interviewing
I'm
matt
flaherty,
I'm
a
council.
A
Member
at
large
and
the
chair
of
the
council's.
A
Interviewing
you
for
one
of
the
vacancies,
there's
actually.
A
Within
the
next
week
or
so,
and
the
way
these
typically
go.
A
Conducting
the
interviews
and
so
hopefully
within
within.
A
How
the
council
has
decided
to
fill
this
appointment
for
the
environmental.
A
Commission
and
whether.
A
If
that's
you
great,
and
if
it's
not
you,
there
may
be
other
opportunities
as.
A
Applying
and
being
interested
in
serving
the
city
through
through
our.
A
Boards
and
commissions,
so
this
shouldn't
take
too
long.
Maybe.
A
15
minutes
or
so
we'll,
probably
just
ask
you
some
questions
based
on
your
your
background
and
some
of
the.
A
Answers
you
provide
in
your
application
and
then
we'd
be
happy
to
answer
any.
A
Questions
you
have
too
about
the
commission
and
how
council
works
with.
A
Commissions
and
that
sort
of
thing,
so
maybe
to
start
if
you
just
want
to.
A
Tell
us
a
little
bit
about
yourself
and
why
you
were
interested
in.
C
All
right,
so
I
want
to
process
this
a
little
bit
and
apologize.
C
Global
health
and
environment
so
yeah,
that's
I'm
here
right
now
and
I.
C
Campus
and
doing
other
work
with
departments.
C
Waste
diversion
stuff
like
that,
but
yeah
other
than
that
I've
been
in.
C
Bloomington
for
three
years,
I
guess
this
is
like
going
on
my
third.
C
Year
I
transferred
in
as
a
senior
and
I
went
to.
A
Yeah
great,
I
saw
you
were
involved
with.
A
Students
for
a
new
green
world
as
well.
Do
you
want
to
tell
us,
maybe
just
a
little
bit
about
your
member,
your
membership
and.
C
Brand
new,
it
was
probably
like
a
group
of
temperatures
at
the
time.
C
Interesting
stuff,
I
did
some
tabling
for
them.
C
They're,
a
great
group
of
people
and
steven
is
very
motivated.
I
don't
know
if.
C
A
Great,
if
anybody
else
other
committee
members
want
to
jump
in
with.
A
Questions
by
all
means
just
go
ahead
too
so
have
do
you
know
much
about.
C
Perspective,
I
really
I
love
grassroot
movements.
C
To
push
policies
through
the
city,
I
thought
it
was
really
interesting.
B
B
Which
was
adopted
last
year,
so
it's
it's
really
a
like.
You
say.
B
It's
a
valuable
body
to
give
us
advice
on
policy.
B
Are
you
in
bloomington
most
of
the
time
I.
A
A
Work
sessions
or
additional
works
occasionally,
but.
B
Now
the
meetings
are
all
via
zoom
zoom,
even
if
you're
still.
E
I
can
ask
a
question:
is
that
good?
Okay,
you
talk
about,
you
talked
about.
E
Important
to
me,
when
we're
looking
at
building
a
new
apartment,
building
or.
E
Yeah,
so
something
that
I
have
come
across
through
the
research
that.
C
I've
done
at
the
school
and
just
being
generally
interested
in
the.
C
Issue
is
intersectionality.
C
Like
to
an
extreme
degree
when
it
comes
to
the
effects
of
climate.
C
C
I
do
my
best
to
amplify
those
voices
and
you
know,
get
those
people
seats
at.
C
C
Concept,
I
guess
but
yeah,
that's
that's
something
I
can
do.
That
is
very.
E
The
better
absolutely
so
in
particular,
for
bloomington.
B
Have
you
noticed
anything
that
that
maybe
we
should
be
doing
that
we're.
B
Any
anything
that
you
think
bloomington.
B
B
Yeah
working
with
athletics,
when
I
was.
B
Yeah
I
with
some
colleagues
I
looked
into
that
a
few
years
ago
about.
B
Apartment
buildings-
and
it's
it's
always
difficult.
B
Here
in
bloomington,
because
we
kind
of
like
to
push
the
envelope.
But
the.
A
A
State's
willing
to
say
yes,
we
are
not.
Okay
with
cities
requiring
you
know,
recycling
everywhere,.
A
Justice
lens
in
bringing
that
to
the
table.
A
Specifically,
if
we're
able
to
answer
those
we're
not
on
the
commission,
obviously,
but
I'm
actually
meeting
with
the
staff.
Ladies.
A
On
who's
linda
thompson,
who
is
the
she's
the.
A
And
work
on
some
of
those
land
use
issues
that
isabel
was
talking
about.
So
that's
kind
of
the
most
regular
city
contact,
but.
A
Again,
the
commission's
advised
the
council
as
well
so
but
yeah
any
questions
about
how
the
commissions
work
and.
A
That
we
can
answer
for
you
yeah.
I
guess.
C
Put,
first
is:
how
are
you
guys
dealt
with.
B
And
so
you
know
it's,
we
have
to
convince
people
to
invest
in.
A
Yeah,
of
course
I
mean
this
is
a
problem
kind
of.
A
Kind
of
everywhere
you
know
that
that
we
don't
always
take
the
most
holistic.
A
Are
that
are
that
will
be
visited
among
people
in
the
future
or,
among
you
know,
racial
minorities
or
lower
socioeconomic
groups?.
A
Making
the
case
for
a
more
holistic
and
like.
A
There's,
of
course,
some
areas
where
we're
doing
quite
well
and
are
sort
of
ahead
of
the
curve,
certainly
for
indiana,
you
know
we
have
a
lot
of
strong
commitments
on
the
climate
front
and
other
related
environmental
fronts,
but
it's
one
of
those
things
where.
A
Through
you
know,
development
of
legislation,
for
instance,
and
taking
that
through
a
process,
but
I
think
the
the
commissions
are
are
really
really
important.
At
bringing.
A
That
that
kind
of
work
is
really
is
yeah.
It's
just
really
vital
for
the
commissions
to
to
be
engaged
with
council
with.
A
A
Still,
which
is
that
the
the
city's
climate
action
plan
is,
is.
A
Going
to
a
draft
is
going
to
be
released
in
the
next
few
weeks
and
then
we
will
have
the
council
adopt
or.
A
That
will
develop
a
much
more
detailed
roadmap,
which
would
certainly
impact.
A
Some
of
the
decisions
and
input
that
the
environmental
commission
has
as
well
for
for
where
we're
trying
to
go
on
the.
A
Climate
front,
it
would
impact
the
work
of
a
lot
of
different
commissions
and
and
city
departments,
obviously,
but
I
think
that
will
help
to
inform
the
environmental
commission's
work
going.
B
Climate
action:
do
you
guys
interact
with
them?
Oh
sorry,.
A
With
with
the
commission
on
sustainability,
or
do
the
commissions
interact
with
each
other
or
sorry,
what
was
that
yeah?
I
mean
with.
A
And
and
we
had
an
environmental
commission
member
who
would
come
to
meetings
some,
that's
honestly
kind
of
an
ongoing
topic
of
board
and
commission
structure.
A
At
the
city
is
something
something
that
I
know
the
administration,
the
mayoral
administration
and
and
some
council
members
are
interested
in
looking
at
kind
of
where
there's
overlap
or
where
there's.
A
A
This
interview,
the
the
view
of
environmental
issues.
A
A
Towards
each
other,
just
just
through
a
better
understanding
of.
A
Environmental
justice
and
some
of
those
issues
so.
A
If
not
even
be
restructured,
possibly
in
the
future,
I
don't
know.
B
For
our
policy
decisions,
so
the
the
environmental
commission
was
the.
B
A
Education
as
well
and
outreach,
which
I
know
is,
is
something
you've
had
some
experience
with.
We
rely
on
commissions,
sometimes
to
help
elevate.
Various
issues.
A
Around
environmental
health-
like
maybe
it's
about
on
the
environmental.
A
Commission
page,
for
instance,
they
have
fact
sheets
related
to
like
invasive
species,
and
you
know
non-toxic
lawn
care
and.
A
Things
like
that,
so
I
think
there's
always
a
need
and.
A
And
it's
really
great
when
commissioners
can
bring.
A
Questions
at
this
point
to
other
council
members
or
bailey.
If
you
had
other
questions
for
us.
A
For
joining
us
bailey,
like
I
said,
I
know
our
the
clerk's.
A
Everybody
who
we
interview
we
we
get
in
touch
with
in
in.
A
A
week
or
two
right
to
let
them
know
the
the
committee's
decision,
the.
A
Left
hanging,
so
we
I
think
you
can
expect
to
hear
from
from
the
clerk's
office
sometime
in
the
next
couple
of
weeks
about
the
council.
Appointment
to
the.
A
Environmental
commission
and
and
yeah
I
kind
of
mentioned
at
the.
A
Beginning,
I
guess
that
we're
going
to
be
a
handful
of.
A
Folks,
but
very
much
appreciate
you
applying
and
interviewing,
and
your.
A
Interest
and
even
if
you're,
not
our
appointment,
I
think
there
are
a
couple
of
vacancies
and-
and
we
interact
with
the
mayor's
office
too,
on
making
recommendations
or
can
certainly
can.
A
So
yeah
thank
you
very
much
for
for
joining
us
today
and
enjoy.
F
A
moment
I
have
prepared
the
action
memo
which
I.
F
In
city
limits,
but
I've
encouraged
him
to
apply
for.
A
Thank
you
and
then
was
it.
Daniel
was
the.
A
The
other
person
we
were
trying
to
interview
and
and.
A
I
forget:
have
we
confirmed
his
availability
for.
F
P.M,
the
public
has
been
noticed,
we've
let
the
the
media
contacts
know.
F
It's
been
posted
online.
The
meeting,
as
well
as
the
public
notice.
F
With
the
zoom
link,
so
it
should
be.
I
I
assume,
since
it's
at
six,
this.
A
Regular
special
session
that
sounds
good.
F
F
Whom
to
appoint,
if
anyone
sure
so
we
could
do
these
two.
A
Guess
in
the
special
session
we
probably
aren't
doing
appointment.
A
So
there's
no
rush,
so
we
can
just
loop
back
after
the
second
interview
as
a
committee.
Could
we
do
that
via
email?
Can
we.
B
Was
a
student
from
another
okay
country.
F
F
Thank
you
and
we'll
see
you
tomorrow
at
6.
