First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
September
9th
through
the
15th.
The
city
will
be
rolling
out
a
new
trash
and
recycling
collection
service
next
year,
and
there
are
some
things
residents
should
be
aware
of
the
City
Council
approved
the
change
in
June
and
all
seven
licensed
haulers
in
Bloomington
will
continue
to
serve.
The
community.
Haulers
can
continue
to
sign
up
new
customers
until
the
new
system
starts
in
April
2016.
A
At
that
point,
individual
costs
or
agreements
will
come
to
an
end
and
the
city's
new
trash
collection
system
will
kick
in
the
haulers
and
city
officials
are
working
together
to
make
the
transition
as
smooth
as
possible.

meantime,

The
city
is
considering
building
a
new
community
center,
but
want
your
input.
That's
why
a
task
force
is
being
organized.

The
6th
annual
Bloomington
Heritage
Days
is
coming
up.
The
festival
starts
on
the
18th
at
six
at
night
and
the
parade
gets
underway
on
the
19th
at
ten-thirty
in
the
morning
with
the
festival,
starting
at
one.
It's
at
a
new
location.
This
year,
the
Nativity
of
Mary
Catholic
Church.
There
is
also
an
additional
day
on
Friday.
The
festival
will
include
a
car
show
food
vendors,
beer
garden
in
music
on
Saturday.
A
There
will
be
many
things,
including
stage,
entertainment,
Bloomington's,
got
talent,
historical
exhibits,
pie-eating
contest
and
inflatables
for
the
kids
heritage
days
is
about
celebrating
the
community
and
hundreds
of
volunteers
are
needed
to
pull
it
off.
If
you
want
to
head
to
the
parade.
There's
a
free
shuttle
service
from
Normandale
Community
College,
starting
at
nine.
Thirty,
am
the
parade,
travels
west
along
95th,
Street,
beginning
at
third
Avenue
and
ending
at
Garfield
Avenue.
Some
blocks
in
that
area
will
be
closed
to
traffic.

festival
is
free
and
entertainment
is
funded
by
sponsors
for

another
community
celebration
follows
River.
Rendezvous
starts
September
21st
and
runs
through
the
25th.
The
festival
allows
students
and
visitors
to
experience
living
history
at
pond
dakota
mission
park.
That's
a
401
East
104th
Street.
Its
goal
is
to
demonstrate
how
people
lived
in
Minnesota
in
the
1800s.
That's
done
through
storytelling
and
demonstrations.
The
festival
is
open
for
students.
A
The
21st
through
the
25th
the
school
day,
is
focus
on
the
culture
and
history
of
American
Indians
and
early
settlers.
It's
for
students
in
fourth
through
eighth
grade
and
classes
visit
the
festival
for
up
to
an
entire
school
day.
Through
several
demonstrations,
students
will
learn
about
early
trades,
pioneer
life,
wilderness
skills
and
the
fur
trade
on
September
24th.
All
this
fun
opens
to
the
public
from
four
to
eight
thirty
p.m.
it's
six
dollars
per
person,
but
kids
under
four
are
free
for
