A
All
right,
good
evening,
everyone
I'm
going
to
call
our
city
council
listening
session
to
order
this
evening.
I
think
we
have
our
friends
from
Gerard
Park,
who
signed
up
again
this
evening,
so
you're
1A
on
the
schedule
and
the
agenda
and
what
we
typically
do.
We
I
typically
parse
out
the
time,
depending
on
how
many
speakers
that
we
have
with
a
limit
of
10
minutes
per
speaker.
So
we
can
assume
that
I
haven't
heard
and
are
you
two
here
to
speak
individually,
you're
here
for
support
so
right
now
we
go.
C
A
A
C
Well,
hello,
Mr,
mayor
council,
members,
councilman
and
all
staff
and
all
present
here.
My
name
is
Richard
katathi
and
I'm
here
today
to
talk
about
Bryant
Park,
specifically
the
South
area
from
85th
86th
streets
and
Bryant
to
Emerson.
Avenues
I
have
lived
at
8517
Bryant,
Avenue,
South,
Bloomington
Minnesota
for
50
plus
years
right
across
from
the
Bryant
Park.
C
C
What
is
the
procedure
to
view
the
current
Bloomington
Park
master
plan
and
the
placement
of
different
activities
in
Bryant
Park
such
as
where's
the
playground
going
to
be
this
skateboard
spot
shelter,
building
ice
skating,
hockey,
tennis
courts,
ball
fields
and
other
spaces?
Where
are
they
going
to
be
placed
at
before
the
master
plan
of
Bryant
Park
is
adapted
adopted?
C
C
A
C
A
Got
it
okay,
okay
and
and
I
know
that
the
the
plans
are
certainly
readily
available
for
folks
to
take
a
look
at
and
to
review
and
to
I
I'm,
confident
that
any
members
of
our
park
and
rec
staff
would
be
happy
to
sit
down
and
show
you
what
the
drawings
look
like
and
where
things
might
be
and
have
the
conversation
with
you.
A
D
C
D
C
C
D
Then
and
then
they
they
took
that
feedback,
reworked
it
reworked
it,
and
so
that's
why,
when,
when
we
were
talking
to
Diana
and
others
about
it,
that
the
placement
of
certain
things
had
changed
as
a
result
of
that
additional
feedback
between
the
30
design
and
the
60
design.
So
when
two
weeks
ago,
when
we
were
in
the
park
that
was
60
design,
that
means
that
there's
40
percent
more
designed
to
go
before
we've
got
a
completely
designed,
Park
and
I.
D
C
C
That
60
percent
stable
I
mean
for
the
goal
or
put
some
of
that
60
percent
be
moved.
E
Mr
mayor
council,
thank
you
for
coming
to
our
engagement
meetings,
and
that
was
a
really
good
explanation
of
where
we're
at
from.
When
the
plan
was
last
to
council,
we
were
out
in
the
park
a
couple
of
more
times
and
got
feedback
worked
with
our
designers
on
note,
you
did
see
some
changes
as
a
result
of
that
additional
work
and
I
would
be
happy
to
meet
with
you
to
to
talk
about
your
ideas
and
explain
the
rationale
behind
the
things
that
changed.
C
E
C
A
Pleasure
but
after
yeah
second
calendars
and
schedules
and
Council
any
additional
questions
or
comments
or
thanks,
councilmember
dalessandro
for
kind
of.
F
A
I
do
think
yeah,
I,
think
the
questions
sitting
down
and
looking
at
the
the
plan,
I
think
would
answer
a
lot
of
all
of
the
questions
that
the.
D
C
And
that
so
I
missed
the
last
one
to
what
Diana
was
there
on
that
yeah
and
that's.
But
the
placement
is
what
we're
more
concerned
about.
Yeah
good
is
adapt
the
activities
yeah.
D
E
D
The
some
of
the
concerns
for
the
rest
of
the
council,
members
that
the
folks
that
are
on
the
park
are
just
discussing
our
questions
about
the
placement
of
the
the
fact
that
right
now
is
the
plan.
Is
it
exists?
The
playground
moves
a
little
bit
further
to
the
north
east
and
sits
where
the
current
parking
lot
is.
That
means
that
the
parking
lot
will
move
a
little
bit
to
the
South,
because
they
intend
to
take
out
one
of
the
tennis
courts
and
move
the
parking
lot
there.
D
So
the
playground
is
a
little
bit
more
to
the
Northeast
a
little
closer
candidly
to
residential
folks.
Although
the
park
at
that
area
is
sunken
down
about
10
15
feet,
so
the
the
thought
is
that
the
noise
in
everything
abatement
will
still
be
okay.
The
skating
park
would
be
where
the
playground
is
today.
D
The
upside
of
that,
for
some
folks
is
that
the
state
part
is
not
over
there,
where
it's
making
a
bunch
of
noise
for
the
residents,
but
there's
some
concerns
about
that
and
then
I
think
there
was
another
question
about
whether
or
not
they
actually
had
to
take
out
one
of
the
ball
fields
right
now.
So
now,
just
so,
you
all
know
contextually
what
the
questions
are
that
are
there,
that
I
I
think
I
covered
did
I,
get
everything
Diane
I
apologize
I,
don't
mean
to
call
you
out,
but
I.
D
B
And
Why
move
the
hockey
rink
yeah
and
we
would
really
hate
to
see
to
lose.
The
Butterfield
feel
that's
there,
because
it's
used
daily
right
right,
yes,
yeah!
So.
A
A
A
E
F
E
F
Pretty
cool
that
one
of
the
big
things
for
me
was
always
to
just
not
rebuild
what
we
had
like.
Oh
okay,
well,
that
one's
detury
and
let's
fix
it,
let's
make
it
better,
you
know,
and
so
you
guys
bringing
forth
ideas.
So
thank
you
for
taking
the
time
to
do
that.
I,
don't
know
just
what
I
heard
in
this
brief
when
I
know,
I
wasn't
here
last
time,
but
very
excited
about
the
whole
process.
