From YouTube: The “Reel” Story Behind Healthy Famlies America
Description
Healthy Families America gives parents the tools they need for healthy child development. Bloomington public health nurses share their strategies for reaching out to clients.
A
Healthy
Families
America
is
a
national
program
that
helps
parents
be
the
best
parents.
They
can
be
our
public
health
nurses,
visit
families
in
the
cities
of
Bloomington,
Edina
and
Richfield.
This
program
really
reminds
me
of
how
my
father
raised
me
when
I
was
growing
up
teaching
me
the
lessons
of
life
and
the
importance
of
building
strong
relationships
and
to
go
fishing,
he
really
likes
to
go
fishing.
B
You
know
here
in
Minnesota
the
land
of
10,000
lakes.
Every
good
fish
story
comes
with
a
tail.
The
fishing
takes
some
patience
to
fish.
Where
are
you
that's?
Why
I'm
here
to
share
some
lessons
that
not
only
come
in
handy
when
you're
eating
a
boot
on
a
boat
but
also
can
be
used
when
trying
to
increase
home
visit
completion
rates
for
the
healthy
families
America
program,
something
the
u.s.
sturgeon
general
cares
a
lot
about
see
what
I
did
there
lesson

cast
a
wide
net
with
so
many
different
bodies
of
water?
B
You
can't
just
go
to
how
unfit
and
whole
to
have
a
successful
fishing
trip.
Remember
different
people
enjoy
fishing
in
different
places.
You
need
to
use
all
your
tools
inside
and
outside
the
tackle
box,
to
get
the
best
results.
Sometimes
you
even
have
to
venture
onto
dry
land.
Don't
you
know
at
agencies,
schools,
clinics
or
hospitals,
and
let
out
the
line
casting
a
wide
net
in
many
lakes
throughout
the
community
can
mean
better
outcomes.
Our.
A
Professional
nurses
try
to
meet
family
is
where
they're
at
it's
really
important.
They
meet
on
a
regular
basis,
and
this
lasts
for
over
three
to
four
years
that
produces
the
positive
childhood
outcomes.
We
use
an
evidence-based
curriculum
and
we
help
them
connect
to
community
resources.
In
addition,
we're
just
always
promoting
parent-child
attachment
lesson.
B
To
find
a
fishing
buddy,
a
friend,
Sven
and
Olli
are
here
somewhere,
because
here
in
Minnesota,
fishing
is
more
than
a
hobby.
It's
about
building
relationships.
Sometimes
you
need
to
take
Minnesota
nice
to
the
next
level,
and
that
might
mean
calling
or
texting
your
new
pal
until
they
meet
you
at
the
boat.
Access
right
and
a
letter
can
work
too
even
showing
up
at
their
school
or
work
can
convince
them
to
hit
the
lake.
Patience
and
persistence
is
key,
don't
you
know,
but
it
will
be
worth
it
in
the
end.
Oh
you
betcha.

lesson
for
share
your
fish
tale.
You
know
some
people
who
fish
like
to
keep
their
tips
and
their
tricks
to
themselves.
I
think
if
you
got
something
good,
you
should
share
it.
After
all,
if
you
can
teach
a
person
how
to
fish
they'll
be
able
to
eat
for
a
lifetime,
and
that
my
friend,
don't
you
know,
is
what
fishing
and

Families
America
is
all
