A
All
three
entryways
at
City

are
being
updated
to
make
them
more
accessible
and
energy
efficient.
One
entry
is
being
done
at
a
time
just
watch
for
signs
when
you

or
call
the
number
on
your

with
questions
bloomington's
first
city-wide
recycling
drop-off
event
is
in
the
books.
It
happened.
Saturday
August
24th
at
the
Western
maintenance
center
residents
were
able
to
get
rid
of
large
items
and
recyclable
materials.
So.
B
Really,
the
goal
of
this
program
is
to
help
residents
dispose
of
those
bulky
items
that
can
be
hard
harder
to
dispose
of
properly
and
make
sure
that
they're
recycled
and
reused.
We
had
an
opportunity
for
residents
to
bring
their
Electronics
and
Appliances
scrap
metal
items
like
an
old,
barbecue,
grill
or
shelving,
or
an
old
lawnmower,
as
well
as
tires
and
mattresses
for
recycling,
bicycles
for
reuse
or
Recycling
and
paper
for
shredding.
So
the
event
was
a
big
success.
A
C
Comcast
Rise
program
stands
for
representation,
investment,
strength
and
empowerment.
We
began
it
in
2020
in
response
to
covid-19
and
the
social
unrest.
We
believe
that
small
businesses
owned
by
people
of
color
and
women
were
mostly
impacted
and
that's
why
we
began
the
program
to
help
them
strive
and
Achieve
success.
The.
A
D
Been
kind
of
looking
a
lot
about
different
grants
that
you
know
maybe
are
more
local
to
Minnesota
and
I
come
across
this
on
just
just
a
general
web
search
and
I
also
have
Comcast
as
one
of
my
internet
providers
already
so
I
kind
of
clicked
on
it
kind
of
read
through
it
and
I
was
like.
Oh
my
gosh.
This
seems
like
a
really
great
opportunity
for
a
local
business
to
be
able
to
utilize
another
organization.
D
That's
also
local
to
my
company
and
so
I
felt
like
it
was
just
a
great
opportunity
for
a
partnership
to
grow
through
this
grant
opportunity.
I
just
went
ahead
and
applied
for
it
and
just
really
kind
of
thought
to
myself
in
the
back
of
my
head.
You
know
if
I
would
get
this
grant.
You
know
what
could
it
do
to
elevate
my
business
and
really,
it's
already
been
very
life-changing
for
a
lot
lot
of
people
that
have
come
through
our
doors
as.
C
A
That
is
the
buzz
on
Bloomington
today
for
the
weeks
of
October
5th
through
the
18th.
If
you
would
like
to
watch
other
stories
from
the
show
go
to
this
week's
playlist,
a
celebration
of
a
milestone
birthday
for
Presbyterian
home
residents,
plus
a
check-in
with
mayor
Tim
Bussey
in
the
council
minute.
Thanks
for
watching.
