A
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today,
I'm
Emily
taplin,
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
Buzz
for
the
week
of
August
16th
through
the
22nd
new
artwork
in
the
South.
Loop
gives
a
Whimsical
nod
to
bloomington's
history.
The
Bloomington
Ferry
will
greet
residents
and
Shoppers
at
Carbon

Apartments,
which
is
set
to
open
later
this
fall
and
will
include
both
residential
and

Market,

and

and
Ashley
Voorhees
say
they
were
inspired
by
the
historical
society's
website.
A
B
In
this
story
that
I
hope
people
can
discover
through
the
art
about
their
local
area,
that
oh,
the
Bloomington
Ferry
Bridge
I've
been
across
that
I
didn't
realize.
That's
was
originally
a
ferry,
and
you
know
the
the
part
of
History
I
most
enjoy
connecting
to
is
just
everyday
people
in
the
past,
and
so
this
piece
is
really
honoring,
those
fairy
pullers
and
those
just
everyday
folks,
riding
across
the
ferry
and
the
fairy
men
at
the
Helm
of
the
ferry
every
day.
It's.

to
be

October
Bloomington

Izumi

marked
30
years
as

this
year.
It's
a
great
experience
to
be
here.
Thank
you
for
having
us
here.
Student
and
mayoral
delegations
visited
Bloomington
August
11th
through
the
14th.
The
visiting
delegation
and
Bloomington

work
to
bridge
cultural
divides
during
the
days
filled
with
activities,
including
a
visit
to
Civic
Plaza.
This.
D
Sister
city
relationship
started
three
decades
ago,
30
years
ago,
but
it's
interesting
how
well
it
ties
into
bloomington's
current
mission
statement
to
cultivate
an
enduring
and
remarkable
Community
where
people
want
to
be
I,
can't
think
of
a
whole
lot.
That's
much
more
enduring
and
remarkable
than
a
30-year
relationship
with
a
city
literally
halfway
across
the
world.

is
much
easier
to
use
and
should
save
the
city
anywhere
between
30
to
50
percent
water
conservation.
I
can
control
everything
from
my
phone.
That's
the
best
part
about
it.
I
can
see
what
it's
doing
down
to
the
second.
It
gives
me
reports
on
whether
a
zone
is
broken.
Bad
it
gives
me
sends
me
emails
if
I
got
high
flow
or
low
flow.
I
could
monitor
the
flow
rate
as
each
zone
is
running.
It'll.
F
Give
me
how
many
gallons
per
minute
each
zone
is
putting
out
the
30
to
50
water
savings
is
important
to
us.
We
want
to
show
that
we're
able
to
save
the
city
money
save
the
residence
money
because
all
this
water,
if
it's
not
used
properly
it
just
runs
back
into
the
ponds.
We
want
it
to
be
used
properly.
