C
Of
chair
commission
members,
thank
you
for
tuning
in
today
appreciate
seeing
you
all.
We
decided
to
do
it
at
the
depot,
because
we
are
going
to
be
moving
our
meetings
shortly,
probably
starting
with
the
next
meeting
downtown
back
to
city
hall.
But
this
was
a
really
super
short
agenda
that
we
had
today.
We
did
need
to
get
the
consent
agenda
items
approved,
and
so
we
didn't
really
want
to
have
you
all
find
parking
get
down
to
the
to
the
to
city.
B
Hall
for.
C
Just
such
a
quick
meeting,
so
I
appreciate
your
cooperation
and
working
with
us
with
this
quick
meeting
up
here
at
the
at
the
depot.
So
thank
you
again
for
tuning
in
so
a
couple
items
just
wanted
to
give
you
a
quick
update
of
a
few
things
going
on
within
the
department
the
one
of
the
consent
agenda.
One
of
the
items
that
you
approved
today
was
a
lease
at
idaho
ice
world,
and
I
just
want
to
give
you
a
quick
briefing
on
that.
If
you
haven't
had
an
opportunity
to
review
the
document
thoroughly.
C
I
just
want
to
give
you
a
quick
overview
that
that
we
have
entered
into
a
lease
agreement
with
the
coeur
d'alene
hockey
academy,
and
the
quarterly
hockey
academy
is
basically
a
for
lack
of
a
better
terminology.
It's
a
boarding
school
for
hockey,
players
and
so
they've
been
in
operation
in
coeur
d'alene
for
a
number
of
years.
C
The
only
boarding
school
for
hockey
players
in
the
state
of
idaho,
which
tells
you
how
far
we've
come
in
the
state,
because
it's
hard
to
imagine
that
we'd
ever
have
a
place
where,
where
players
from
all
around
the
country
want
to
come
to
idaho,
to
actually
live
and
and
participate
in
a
hockey
school.
But
that's
essentially
what
they've
been
doing
at
coeur,
d'alene
and
they're,
going
to
start
that
same
kind
of
school
here
in
boise
as
well.
C
C
There
have
been
really
good
hockey,
players
who
have
come
out
of
boise
and
their
parents
have
moved
them
to
places
like
michigan
and
minnesota
and
wisconsin,
where
boarding
schools
are
very
popular
for
hockey
players
and
they
have
moved
their
kids
right
as
they
for
the
most
part
enter
into
junior
high
age
and
they
literally
live
in
the
communities
that
the
boarding
schools
are
at.
They
attend
school
at
the
hockey.
B
C
C
For
this,
from
the
biggest
standpoint
is
we
have
determined
that
ice
world
has
to
be
a
self-sufficient
operation,
so
we're.
C
Moving
forward
very
similar
to
how
we
operate
our
golf
courses,
which
is
a
what
we
refer
to
as
a
quasi-enterprise
operation,
the
airport
and
public
works,
are
enterprise
operations,
so
everything
they
do
has
to
be
self-sufficient
in
those
two
departments.
So
airport
pays
for
everything
from
all
of
their
daily
operations
and
capital
expenditures
all
the
way
down
to
if
they
use
our
legal
team,
they
pay
for
the
use
of
the
legal
team,
quasi
enterprises.
What
would
refer
to
our
golf
courses,
which
they
cover
all
their
operations
and
all
their
capital?
C
But
they
don't
have
to
pay
at
this
point
in
time.
The
indirect
costs
to
run
the
golf
courses
which
would
be
paying
legal
human
resources
I.t.
C
You
know
all
of
our
internal
service
departments
would,
in
a
true
enterprise,
in
a
municipality
pay
for
all
those
services.
So
we
don't
do
that
in
the
golf
courses.
We're
not
going
to
be
doing
that
at
ice
world,
but
we
will
be
doing
a
nice
world
is
paying
for
all
their
capital
costs.
So
if
they
need
to
buy
a
new
zamboni
which
costs
somewhere
around
120
000
they'll
have
to
have
that
money
available.
C
Just
like
the
golf
course
if
they
need
to
buy
50
golf
carts,
they
need
to
have
that
money
available
to
do
that
or
if
they
need
to
buy
a
new,
a
fairway
mower.
They
have
to
have
that
money
available
to
do
that.
So
it
comes
out
of
the
fees
that
they
charge
to
our
to
our
golfers
ice
world
will
be
the
same
thing.
C
We
are
adjusting
our
fees,
you
approve
those
fees
and
charges.
C
I
think
it
was
last
month
in
the
month
before
that
they
will
go
to
council
actually
on
tuesday,
during
the
budget
hearing
and
and
they're,
not
overly
dramatic,
but
they
get
us
from
an
operational
standpoint
where
we
really
need
to
be,
and
this
lease
with
the
coeur
d'alene
hockey
academy
will
generate
somewhere
between
80
and
100
000
a
year
for
ice
world,
which
was
also
going
to
help
us
build
a
what
we
consider
like
a
sinking
account
or
a
reserve
account,
so
that
when
we
need
to
replace
the
zamboni,
we
can
do
it
when
we
need
to
replace
the
roof.
C
It
will
no
longer
be
an
item
that
the
city
will
be
picking
up,
the
cost
of
it
will
be
ice
cold,
we'll
have
to
have
that
funding
in
place,
and
so
we
believe
we'll
get
to
that
point
over
a
two-year
period
and
so
having
this
lease
agreement
is
gonna
help
us
by
leaps
and
bounds,
and
getting
to
that
to
that
point,
the
the
the
lessee
is
also
thinking
that
they
will
or
should
be
less
or
that
they
will
expand
their
services
they're,
just
really
looking
at
one
at
one
age
group
right
now,
but
they
want
to
expand
and
get
to
multiple
age
groups,
potentially
if
not
this
year,
but
but
next
year,
so
we've
signed
a
three
year
lease
with
them
with
an
option
to
renew
for
three
more
years
and
so
we're
excited
from
the
standpoint
it's
going
to
generate
some
additional
revenue
for
rice
world.
B
C
Newest
park,
the
bowler
park,
which
is
located
in
surprise
valley
in
southeast
boise,
it
is
a
very
unique
park
in
that
it
has
bits
and
pieces
of
everything
we
have
in
all
of
our
other
parks
that
are
very,
very
popular
with
our
citizens
and
we
combine
those.
Some
of
them
are
obviously
smaller
in
size
like
our
skate
park,
but
we've
combined
those
and
put
them
in
one
park
and
that's
what
bowler
is,
and
so
it
has
a
skate
park.
It
has
dog
off
leash,
it
has
a
frisbee
or
a
disc
golf
course.
C
Piece
to
this
is
that
we
were
able
to
green
up
and
add
all
the
amenities
to
this
park.
At
the
same
time,
so
we
were
able
to
use
impact
fees
slated
for
that
area
that
we
were
able
to
put
towards
getting
the
park
done.
It
was
about
3.2
million
dollars
to
get
the
construction,
the
green
up
and
all
the
amenities
added
in,
but
it
was
a
turnkey
deal
from
that
perspective.
So
it
really
is
a
great
addition
to
that
neighborhood.
It
is
needed
in
that
part
of
town.
C
We
don't
have
any
other
parks
in
that
location
and
and
so
we're.
I
know
the
neighbors
that
we
had
a
great
turnout
for
the
neighborhood
and
I
know
people
are
looking
forward
to
to
using
that
facility,
so
that
happened
on
tuesday
and
then
just
heads
up
we'll
be
also
dedicating
our
new
downtown
park
located
at
11th
avenue,
which
is
now
the
shri
buckner
webb
park,
and
we're
planning
and
chloe
will
get
more
information
out
to
you.
C
We'd
love
to
have
as
many
commissioners
that
are
available
to
come
to
that
it'll,
be
at
a
four
o'clock
in
the
afternoon
on
august
5th
and
we're
planning
a
huge
celebration.
We're
going
to
have
live
music,
we'll
have
food
trucks,
we're
going
to
have
just
it's
going
to
be
an
entertaining
evening
and
really
a
celebration
of
the
naming
of
the
park
after
a
sheree,
buckner
webb
and
her
family
will
be
there,
and
we
have
also
the
dedication
of
a
very
cool
it
has
really
grown
on
me
folks,
the
pink
tree.
C
Through
you
know
this
giant
pink
tree
it,
it
really
was
hard
to
see
from
the
design
how
it
turned
out
now
in
real
life.
It
looks
amazing
and
it
really
is
going
to
give
a
lot
of
character
to
that
park.
And,
yes,
most
people
are
probably
gonna
just
refer
to
it
as
the
pink
tree
park,
and
so
and
that's
okay.
It
gives
it
a
little
bit
of
character
and
we.
C
The
that
the
tree
is
going
to
do
that
for
us,
so.
C
More
information
out
to
you
on
that
dedication,
but
we're
excited
about
it.
It's
all
done.
It's
ready
to
go
and
we're
just
excited
to
celebrate
that
opening
in
september,
we'll
be
doing
a
rededication
of
catherine
albertson
park.
That
park
has
been
undergoing
a
renovation
over
the
last
two
years.
C
Of
the
master,
the
updated
master
plan
which
this
commission
approved
18
months
I
believe
ago,
if
you
haven't
seen,
walked
through
the
park
and
seen
some
of
the
changes
I
encourage
you
to
do
so.
It
really
is
has
turned
out
fantastic.
We've
added
boardwalks
we've
added
piers
into
some
of
the
ponds
we've
created
additional
connectivity
into
parts
of
the
park.
We've
never
had
before.
C
C
To
the
ponds
they
don't
just
mill
around
and
start
eating
the
grass
because
they
don't
like
the
vegetation
that
we've
planted,
and
so
that
has
been
successful.
We
can't
do
that
in
every
park,
obviously
because
we
need
green
turf,
but
it
really
worked
that
in
that
part,
because
it's
such
a
natural,
our
natural
environmental
park
that
we
have
in
our
system,
so
that
dedication
is
going
to
be
in.
C
And
again,
chloe
will
keep
you
abreast
of
that.
It
also
includes
a
new
restroom
out
front
and
if
you're
familiar
with
the
park,
we
had
an
old,
outdated
restroom
in
the
parking
area
and
a
new
restroom
has
been
added
there,
and
all
of
this
has
been
funded
by
the
ja,
katherine
albertson
family
foundation.
So
no
city
funds
have
been
used
to
do
any
of
the
renovations.
C
Then.
Finally,
just
a
heads
up
on
a
new
after
school
community
center
we'll
be
adding
this
fall
in
the
boise
school
district,
we'll
be
adding
a
new
after
school.
We
call
them
kids,
kids,
city
centers,
which
are
after
school
only
at
hillcrest
elementary
school
and
in.
C
That
we
continue
to
do
with
the
boise
school
district
to
identify
future
sites
potential
future
sites.
This
is
one
that
continues
to
come
up
and
was
rated
right
behind
whittier,
which
is
our
latest
community
center
that
we
just
opened
a
year
ago,
and
so
we're
excited
about
adding
this
to
our
portfolio.
C
There
are
a
lot
of
children
that
attend
that
school
that
do
not
have
any
access
to
after-school
activities
and
after-school
care,
and
so
we'll
be
providing
that
and
hillcrest
starting
this
this
coming
school
year,
so
that
pretty
much
is
is
just
a
quick
rundown
of
some
of
the
things
that
we
have
going
on
that
at
a
real
32
000
foot
view
I'm
open
to
any
questions
that
our
comments
that
any
of
our
commissioners
may
have,
or
as
I
say
that
has
joined
us
council
pro
tem
lisa
sanchez
is
also
on
the
line
as
well,
and
so
I
know
she's.
B
C
A
C
Madam
chair,
commission
members,
that's
a
great
question.
There
is
a.
I
cannot
divulge.
What's
going
to
be
occurring
on
that
side,
I
do
know
we
have
another
musical
interest
that
performs
a
tree
fort.
That
is
going
to
be
doing
some
performing
there
but
related
to
cherie.
There
will
be
a
surprise,
and
so
we're
excited
about
that
and
look
forward
to
that.
A
I
don't
believe
we
have
a
need
for
an
executive
session,
so
we
can
move
to
adjournment.
If
I
have
a
motion.
