From YouTube: Artist Interview: Soul Lorain
Description
With the intention to provide an outlet for collective and positive expression, Soul is crowd-sourcing a choreography project. She will record and share a series of dance moves (ex. head roll right, slide left, kick ball change, etc.) on social media. Neighbors can vote on the order in which the move will appear in the dance. She’ll share a video of the final choreographed dance and encourage others to record and post their own as well.
A
Wonderful,
it's
nice
to
meet
you!
So
how
has
covid19
affected
your
life
and
livelihood.
B
A
Very
sorry
to
hear
that
yeah
everything's
been
super
super
unsure
unreliable,
so
you've
obviously
been
awarded
a
covid19
work
project.
Stipend.
Would
you
mind
just
briefly
telling
me
about
the
project
and
how
it
supports
connectivity
in
your
neighborhood?
Yes,.
B
So
my
project-
I'm
bringing
in
my
artistic
background,
of
course,
so
I'm
giving
the
boulder
community
the
opportunity
to
choreograph
a
dance
alongside
with
me.
So
it's
cool
because
it's
a
bit
of
crowd
sourcing,
I
make
dance
segments
and
then
they
get
to
vote
and
place
them
in
the
order
to
complete
a
whole
dance
like
a
line,
dance
or
a
boulder
community
dance.
A
Very
nice
very
cool,
and
I
read
in
your
project
proposal
that
you
were
going
to
also
be
checking
out
people's
like
if
people
want
to
complete
the
dance
after
you've
done
it
has
that
happened.
Yet
I'm
just
wondering
yes.
B
I
haven't
finished
the
whole
dance
yet,
but
there's
been
people
they're,
sending
me
their
clips
of
them
doing
my
first
segment
that
I
released.
So
that's
really
exciting
yeah.
I
would
love
to
get
more
and
more
people
to
film
themselves,
doing
the
full
dance
so
that
we
can
all
see
it
and
you
know
dance
with
each
other
as
a
community.
A
I
love
it,
that's
beautiful!
So
finally,
is
there
anything
else
you'd
like
to
share
about
the
project,
your
experience
so
far.
