Welcome

your
stories,

and
keep
up
to
date
on
all
things:
Boulder,
I'm,
Janelle
and
Daniel.
At
the
beginning
of
the
month,
City
Council
approved
in
9.5
million
dollar
purchase
of
the
historic
Boulder
Valley
Farms
purchase.
Details
are
still
being
worked
out,
but
when
the
show
is
completed,
this
valuable
land
will
be
added
to
OS,
and
these
45,000
acre
network
located
on
the
east
of
95th
Street
in
unincorporated
Boulder
County
is
a
642
acre
piece
of
land
known
as
Boulder
Valley
Farms.

Officers
story,
actor
in
times
of
need.
The
days
of
minimal
interaction
are
gone.
Boulder
police
know
they
can
be
even
more
effective
if
they
understand
and
work
to
resolve
problems
before
they
occur.
Now
the
department
is
taking
its
progressive
policing
approach,
one
step
further
assigning
officers
to
designated
neighborhoods
and
encouraging
community
members
to
get
to
know
them
better
whole.
C
Idea
behind
this
is
for
us
to
interact
with
community
members
in
non
stressful
situations,
so
I
trust
officers
to
just
be
able
to
go
to
a
door
and
knock
and
and
discuss
the
issues
that
the
neighbors
are
having,
so
that
they
do
feel
more
comfortable
and
that
they
have
a
face
to
associate
with
the
police
department.
Not
just
the
big
agency
police.
A

A
Facilities
like
rec,
centers
and
libraries
draw
lots
of
users
here
in
Boulder,
and
maintaining
them
is
an
important
ongoing
priority
coming
up.
Next
is
the
North
Boulder
rec
center,
which
will
be
closed
from
August
12
until
the
20th
for
repairs
and
some
exciting
improvements.
The
North
Boulder
recreation
center
will
be
closed
for
its
annual
maintenance
starting
Saturday
August
12.
The
recreation
center
itself
will
be
reopened
on
August
21st.
However,
the
pool
will
remain
closed
until
October
because
of
more
involved
renovation.
A
D
This
closure,
our
normal
annual
maintenance,
closer
to
12
through
the
20th
you'll,
be
able
to
go
to
the
East
Boulder
Community
Center,
the
self
older
recreation
center
and
both
of
our
outdoor
pools,
Spurs
and
Scotty.
Also,
if
you
want
to
have
the
reservoir
with
your
annual
pass
or
punch
card,
you
can
do
that
and
for
the
extended
pool
closure,
we
will
be
keeping
spruce,
pool
open
a
little
bit
later
in
the
season
as
late
as
we
can
weather
permitting
the
he.
A
Can
take
a
toll
on
man's
best
friend,
especially
when
animals
are
left
inside
a
car
in
the
time
it
takes
a
pet
owner
to
run
an
errand,
a
doll
can
sustain
serious
brain
damage
or
even
died
from
heatstroke
starting
August.
9Th
community
members
can
now
take
an
extra
step
to
rescue
the
stress
dogs
that
have
been
left
in
sized
vehicles.
We
spoke
to
animal
control,
supervisor
Janet
Boswell
about
all
this
new
law
works.
A
This
new
state
law,
effective
on
August
9th,
provides
immunity
from
civil
and
criminal
liability
for
people
who
enter
a
locked
vehicle
in
order
to
provide
assistance
to
an
at-risk
person
or
animal
to
ensure
immunity.
The
vehicle
must
not
be
a
law
enforcement
vehicle
and
individuals
need
to
verify
that
the
car
is
indeed
locked.
They.
E
Have
to
have
made
every
effort
a
reasonable
effort
to
locate
the
owner.
They
have
to
notify
law
enforcement.
They
have
to
make
sure
that
they're
checking
to
ensure
that
the
car
is
back,
not
unlocked,
and
then
at
that
point
they
can
at
the
most
minimal
level,
enter
the
vehicle
to
remove
the
animal.
Then
they
have
to
stay
with
that
animal
until
emergency
response
arrives
on
scene.
