I'm,

Five
years
ago,
Boulder
experienced
what
is
known
as
a
del
senior
rainfall
event.
A
In
just
a
matter
of
days,
Boulder
received
a
year's
worth
of
rain,
causing
widespread
flooding
across
the
city
and
all
along
the
Front
Range
14%
of

flooded,
as
was
various
businesses
and
city
facilities.
This
week
we
took
a
look
at
where
Boulder
stands
today
after
2013
devastating
flood
from
September
11th
through
September
15th
of
2013,
the
Front
Range
region,
including
the
city
of
Boulder,
experienced
significant
rainfall
that
resulted
in
flooding
a
loss
of
life
and
damage
that
to
this
day,
the
city
is
still
recovering
from
all

The
new
American
road
trip
is
an
electric
vehicle
car
ride
across
America.
A
It's
a
campaign
aimed
at
celebrating
communities
making
a
change
towards
the
country's
energy
future
and
what
better
pit
stop
in
Boulder
next
week,
the
city
will
be
host
to
this
event
and
the
public
is
invited
to
come
and
celebrate
it's
climate
leadership,
the
American
Road

events
highlight
the
city's
people
and
emerging
technologies
that
are
fulfilling
America's
pledge
on
climate
change,
economic
prosperity
and
creating
jobs
while
mitigating
the
effects
of
climate
change
and
ensuring
our
clean
energy
future.
The
American
road
trip
will
stop
by
cities
like
Las,
Vegas,
Pittsburg
and,
of
course,
Boulder
boulders.
D
Is
the
state
leader
across
Colorado
an
electric
vehicle
adoption,
so
I
think
Boulder
was
the
natural
choice.
We
have
almost
2000
vehicles
on
the
road
across
the
county.
We
have.
The
city
operates,
almost
50
public
charging
stations
and
there's
more
fast
chargers
being
added
over
the
course
of
the
next
year
so
makes
Boulder
the
ideal
choice.
The.

D
Vehicles
play
a
significant
role
in
the
city's
efforts
to
meet
its
climate
commitment
targets.
One
is
the
reduction
of
local
air
pollution.
There's
no
emissions
at
the
pump
or
at
the
tailpipe
and
so
walkers
and
bikers
who
are
next
to
roads,
would
be
no
more
tailpipe.
Emissions,
they're,
also
very
quiet,
and
they
can
run
on
a
hundred
percent
renewable
electricity.

A
E
The
most
exciting
thing
about
my
job
I
think
it's
coming
to
work,
not
knowing
exactly
what
I'm
gonna
be
doing
that
day.
I
know
that
I'll
be
contacting
a
variety
of
people
and
I'll
have
the
opportunity
to
work
with
all
sorts
of
different
animals.
Of
course
we
have
a
lot
of
domestic
animals.
We
have
a
massive
variety
of
wildlife
and
I,
find
that
enjoyable
I
really
enjoy
doing
investigations
and
certainly
help
animals
that
may
not
have
their
own
voice
and
do
what's
right
and
try
to
make
things
right
again.
A
E
We're
usually
handling
anywhere
from
ten
to
twenty
five
calls
a
day,
sometimes
in
our
busy
season,
such
as
now,
it
can
be
even
busier
and
those
can
be
all
sorts
of
calls,
whether
it's
wildlife
management
or
mitigation,
some
sort
of
maybe
serious
investigation
obtaining
a
warrant
or
simple
things:
helping
people
with
nuisance
issues,
whether
they're,
private
property
owners
or
community
members
in
the
area.
You
know
we
really
like
what
we
do.
We
like
working
with
animals,
we
love
working
with
the
public
as
well.
E
That's
an
important
aspect,
but
you
know
it's
really
enjoyable
to
work
with
animals
and
in
some
of
the
cases
that
we
have
to
deal
with.
So
it
certainly
attracts
a
certain
personality
and
type
of
person
who
doesn't
like
working
with
animals,
not
when
we're
dealing
with
dogs
and
vehicles
we're
doing
a
lot
of
Education
because
most
people
aren't
intending
on
hurting
their
animal.
Yet
it's
such
a
dangerous
and
volatile
situation.
E
Our
education
is
really
important
when
we
have
face-to-face
contact
with
somebody
and
that's
usually
the
most
important
time
that
we
have
where
we
can
do
some
education
with
somebody,
whether
that's
responding
to
a
call
dealing
with
some
sort
of
investigation
or
follow
up.
But
when
we
have
that
intimate
time
with
somebody,
that's
when
we
can
do
a
lot
of
Education
when
we
have
that
base
time.
We've
got
a
lot
of
brochures
that
we've
created
dog,
bite
prevention,
marking,
dog
issues,
how
to
be
a
good
Guardian.
E
All
sorts
of
different
publications
that
we've
created
and
made
available
on
our
website
years
ago.
I
got
into
animal
protection,
primarily
because
I
kind
of
had
a
realization
that
I
wanted
to
work
with
animals.
My
wife
and
I
had
a
dog
that
had
gotten
skin
cancer
and
we
started
going
to
CSU
and
I
really
fell
in
love
with
the
animal
welfare
industry,
and
it
just
so
happened
that
an
opening
position
was
available
at
the
Humane
Society.
This
is
my
hometown
and
I
thought
what
could
be
a
better
place
to
do.

Visitors
enjoy

During

no
humans
are
allowed
in

for
the
