pool
opened
on
may
27th
with
a
free
summer,
kickoff
celebration,
the
event
featured
a
ribbon-cutting
ceremony
with
mayor
susan
osborne,
a
free
open,
swim
from
1
to
5
p.m.
and
a
free
ice
cream,
social
with
bliss
organic
ice
cream.

reopening
of
the
pool
is
a
much
awaited
event
every
year,
but
this
year
it
is
even
more
exciting.
During
the
past
four
months,
the
pool
has
undergone
major
improvements.
These
included
realigning
the
lanes
to
50
meters
reporting,
most
sidewalls,
improving
a
DA
accessibility,
refinishing,
the
water
slide
and
pool
interior,
and
installing
a
new
stainless
steel,
gutter
system
surge
tank
and
an
energy-efficient
pool
boiler.
The
newly
renovated
pool
is
open
through
the
summer.

to

in

to

to

policy
text
and
map
changes
to
the
boulder
valley,
comprehensive
plan.
The
Planning
Board
approved
policy
and
Tex
changes
to
the
boulder
valley
comp
plan,
including
changes
to
the
area.

planning
reserve
and
service
area
expansion
process.

approved
nine
land
use
in
area
1,
2
&
3
map
changes
that
were
recommended
by
staff.
City
Council
will
consider
the
adoption
of
the
updated
plan
at
its
regular
meeting
on
Tuesday

Seven
adoption
hearings
with
the
Boulder
County,
Planning,
Commission
and
boulder
county
commissioners
will
be
held
in
July
in
August.
These
adoption
meetings
are
the
result
of
more
than
a
year's
worth
of
working
with
the
community
advisory
boards,
em
City
Council
to
revise
and
refine
development
standards
and
preservation
for
the
boulder
valley
over
the
next
five
years.

comprehensive
plan
is
a
joint
plan
between
the
city
of
boulder
in
boulder
county
to
provide
shared
land-use
decision-making
in
the
boulder
valley.
The
plan
sets
a
course
for
the
future
growth
and
development
of
the
city
and
the
land
just
outside
the
city's
boundaries,
to
learn
more
about
the
Boulder
Valley
comprehensive
plan

the
city

boulder

couple

months.
The
city
has
heard
from
members
of
the
public
wanting
more
specific
information
about
boulders
energy,
future
options
and
staff
is
moving
closer
to
being
able
to
deliver.

at
the

community
center.

speakers
will
discuss
exciting
changes
in
the
energy
industry.

Xcel
Energy
is
responding

boulders
goals
and
what
consultants
have
learned
there
will
be
an
opportunity
for
questions
and
feedback
from
the
public.
In
addition
to
the
general
session,
the
city,
along
with
the
Boulder
County
business
report
and
several
hosting
businesses,
will
be
sponsoring
for
business,
specific
informational
meetings
between
june,
eighth
and
june
thirteenth.
