Description
City of Charleston Committee on Real Estate Meeting 12/5/22
A
A
All
right
good
afternoon,
everybody
I
believe
we've
got
everybody.
Councilman
Waring,
just
texted
me
and
indicated
he's
not
able
to
make
it,
but
for
us
to
go
ahead
and
get
started.
So
with
that
being
said,
I
like
to
call
to
order
the
Monday
December
5th
2022
committee
on
real
estate
meeting.
A
Let's
start
things
off
with
well,
it
looks
like
councilman
Waring.
Had
the
invocation
councilman
shade,
would
you
be
so
kind
to
pinch
it
for
him
on?
This
certainly
will
thank.
B
Thank
you,
Mr
chairman,
as
we
have
just
completed
our
celebration
of
Thanksgiving
in
this
country
and
looking
forward
to
the
Advent
season
in
Hanukkah
season,
we
we
give
thanks
almighty
God.
All
the
many
blessings
that
you
bestowed
upon
us
make
us
your
Faithful
Servants
to
take
care
of
the
business
of
the
City
of
Charleston.
In
your
name.
We
pray,
amen.
A
All
right,
thank
you,
councilman
shade.
Next
up
is
approval
of
the
November
21st
2022
minutes.
Do
I,
hear
a
motion
so
move.
B
A
Moved
and
properly
seconded
any
discussion
hearing,
none
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
aye
eyes.
Have
it
the
first
and
only
non-annexation
item
on
the
agenda
is
a
proposed
Second
Amendment
to
the
option
to
lease
between
the
City
of
Charleston
and
the
low
line
housing,
limited
partnership.
I
believe
this
is
simply
a
six-month
bump
out,
but
I
see
Miss
creature
on
the
zoom
here.
So
do
you
mind
maybe
giving
a
few.
C
A
Moved
and
properly
seconded
by
councilman
Craig.
Thank
you,
Miss
Creech.
For
that
summary,
any
discussion
hearing,
none
all
in
favor
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
the
eyes
have
it.
Finally,
we've
got
two
annexations
one
in
my
district,
one
in
councilman,
Shades,
District
I'll,
point
out
that
the
one
in
my
district
I
believe
is
in
Avondale,
which
is
certainly
a
an
area
filled
with
some
donut
holes.
So
do
we
have
any
questions
or
any
discussion
about
any
of
these
two
items
or
do
I
hear
a
motion?
I.
B
Could
not
second,
your
analogy:
councilmember
Appel,
that
the
Poinsettia
road
is
also
out
of
an
older
subdivision
neighborhood
and
it's
part
of
a
filling
in
another
donut
hole.
So
we
are
gradually
going
to
have
a
full
donut
in
these
neighborhoods
sooner
than
later,
I
hope
so
I
I
moved
for
approval
for
both
B1
and
B2.
Second,
very.
A
Nice
moved
and
properly
seconded
any
discussion
hearing,
none
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
aye
y'all.
This
might
be
the
record
in
the
350
year,
history
of
the
City
of
Charleston
for
the
for
the
shortest
committee
meeting.
I
I
clocked
that
in
at
about
three
minutes,
so
we're
we're
moving
it
we're
moving
and
shaking
over
at
the
real
estate
committee.
Anything
for
the
good
of
the
order,
Mr
Mayor,
you
got
anything
he's.
A
All
right
well,
thank
you
all
very
much
and
I
appreciate
everyone's
time
today
and
I'll
see
everybody
tomorrow.
All.
