Description
City of Charleston Committee on Traffic and Transportation Meeting 11/1/22
A
B
C
You
all
right,
thank
you.
I
might
be
called
this
November
1st
2022
meeting
of
the
Union
Charleston
interactive
Insurance
conditions,
maybe
even
with
the
order
and
half
the
accounting,
we're
thinking
proceed
with
an
invocation.
C
You
council
member
item
number
received
on
the
agenda:
is
the
approval
of
the
October
11th
meeting
so
moved?
Is
there
a
second
second
all
right,
it's
amazing,
properly
segment.
Are
there
any
discussions.
C
Thank
you,
I.
Have
it
item
three
has
been
deferred
at
the
request
of
the
department,
so
that
brings
us
to
item
four,
which
is
the
Amendments.
The
memorandum
of
agreement,
computer,
aided
dispatch,
DAV
and
parking
enforcement
dispatch
and
I'll
turn
it
over
to
Mrs
illegal.
A
Thank
you
chairman.
This
isn't
a
memorandum.
This
is
an
amendment
to
the
current
minor
memorandum
of
agreement
between
the
city
and
the
county.
This
is
to
allow
us
to
share
with
the
County's
computer,
aided
dispatch
or
cat,
as
they
call
it
to
be
used
for
parking
enforcement.
This
includes
the
cad
mapping,
the
annual
maintenance
and
the
updates
to
their
GIS
files.
A
The
current
agreement
was
signed
June
11th
last
year.
It
expires
December
31st
this
year.
So
this
amendment
is
to
extend
the
agreement
by
three
years.
There
is
a
cost
schedule
that
is
attached.
It's
a
nominal
increase
from
last
year
for
the
first
year
this
year,
I
believe
it's
9558,
that's
only
a
789
dollar
increase
from
last
year,
so
it's
a
slight
incremental
every
year
that
we
just
would
like
to
go
ahead
and
extend.
C
All
right
the
eyes
next
on
the
agenda
is
the
traffic
calling
for
battery
Island,
Drive
and
alternative.
D
Thank
you
chairman.
We
have
one
traffic
calming
recommendation
for
you
today.
It's
battery
Island
Drive.
This
is
west
of
Folly
Road.
It
would
include
two
speed.
Humps
we've
been
working
with
Mr
George
Richardson
of
the
battery
Island
neighborhood
on
this,
since
about
April
March
of
this
past
year.
So
we'd
recommend
approval
of
this.
We've
also
been
working
with
the
DOT
and
as
part
of
this
they
will.
They
have
agreed
to
lower
the
speed
limit
from
30
miles
per
hour
to
25.
That's
part
of
the
installation.
C
All
right
do
I,
hear
a
motion:
the
movement
zero.
Second.
D
D
Side
that
we
have
discussed
previously
with
yourself
and
Miss
councilmember
Honeycutt.
A
B
D
D
C
All
right
is
there
any
further
discussion,
councilmember
Greg.
F
Sort
of
related
to
this,
but
Mr
Mathis
talk
to
Mr
Tisdale,
maybe
a
month
ago
or
so,
and
he
mentioned
that
all
the
traffic
calming
devices
speed
humps
were
currently
on
hold,
as
they
were
under
review
with
the
the
city
Fire
Department,
making
sure
that
this
didn't
impact
dispatch
times
is
that
are
we
done
with
that
exercise
now
and
have
we're
now
proceeding
with
traffic
calming
devices
again.
D
Yes,
sir,
we
have
been
working
closely
with
the
Fire
Marshals
division
to
ensure
that
the
response
time
is
not
impacted
by
the
installation
of
speed.
Humps
we've
developed
a
a
process
in
which
we
can
review
those
with
the
fire
marshal.
G
So
I
wanted
to
thank
staff
for
their
work
on
this,
but
I
want
to
thank
councilmember
Parker
for
bringing
so
to
our
attention,
so
we
could
get
it
done.
So,
thanks
to
all.
C
Things
all
right
thanks
all
right.
Is
there
any
further
discussion
on
this
items,
all
right
hearing,
none
other
than
favorites
in
the
Bible
saying
aye,
aye
aye
any
opposed
all
right,
the
eyes
I
have
it?
Are
there
any
other
items
that
any
member
would
like
to
bring
up
before
the
committee.
