This
module,
which
details
the
Charlotte
business
inclusion
program,
focuses
on
the
city's
efforts
related
to
inclusion,
advocacy,
support
resources
and
training
for
our
community
of
minority
women
and
small
business
enterprises.

city
had
a
minority
and
women
business
development
program
in
2003
this
program,
transitioned
to
a
small
business
opportunity
program
that
was
race
and
gender
neutral
and,
most
recently
in
2013,
the
city
adopted
the
Charlotte
business
inclusion
program
and
policy
that
support
both
race
and
gender,
conscious
MWBE,
as
well
as
race
and
gender
neutral
SBE
goals.
The
mission
of
the
Charlotte
business
inclusion
program
is
to
enhance
competition
and
participation
of
minority
women
and
small
businesses
and
city
contracting
opportunities
to
promote
economic
growth
and
development
in
the
Charlotte
region.

CBI
program
focuses
on
inclusion
opportunities
with
mws
ves
in
the
representative,
13
County
area
in
North
and
South
Carolina.
The
CBI
program
performs
the
following
key
functions
in
WSB,
certification,
recommendation
and
monitoring
of
spending
goals
and
payments,
CBI
policy
and
procedure,
Compliance
MW
SPE
outreach,
technical
support,
training
and
advocacy,
M
WSB
access
to
financial
resources
and
other
capacity-building
opportunities
and
administration
of
the
city's
diversity
management
system.

city
is
