Description
City of Charlotte Holiday Trash Tips
A
We
want
to
remind
all
residents
to
be
sure
to
recycle
your
holiday
items
such
as
gift
wrap
and
cardboard
and
holiday
cards
and
tissue
paper,
and
we'll
be
accepting
extra
cardboard
outside
of
the
recycling
cart
this
year.
All
you
have
to
do
is
flatten
the
cardboard
and
sit
it
next
to
your
recycling,
cart
for
collection.
On
your
collection
day,
beginning
january
5th,
we
will
be
collecting
natural
christmas
trees,
curbside
and
you
do
want
to
make
sure
that
all
of
the
decorations
from
the
christmas
trees
are
removed
before
you
place
some
curbside
on
your
collection
day.
A
If
you
have
artificial
trees
for
collection,
you
must
schedule
those
as
a
part
of
our
bulky
waste
collection
program
and
with
that
you
just
simply
call
311
or
visit
our
website
during
the
holiday
season.
Solid
waste
services
will
be
collecting
any
extra
garbage
that
you
have
that
cannot
fit
into
your
rollout.
Cart
simply
make
sure
the
bags
are
tied
and
just
place
them
beside
of,
and
not
on
top
of
your
garbage
cart
for
more
information
on
our
curbet
holiday
collection
schedule
and
item
preparation
tips.
