City of Chelsea, Chelsea Public Schools,
Pre-Kindergarten Registration Lottery for the 2022-2023 school year.

Letters will be mailed beginning March 18th notifying parents of their child’s placement in the program or spot on the waitlist, as well as next steps for registration.

If you have questions about the 1/2 day PreK Program (AM or PM session) you should contact the Parent Information Center at 617-466-5500.

If you have questions about the Extended Day PreK Program you should contact the Extended Day Office at 617-466-5150.

Hello, everybody welcome to our pre-k registration lottery. My name is kim overbough and I am the assistant principal of the early learning center, and this is our parent liaison chris, who will be translating for us.

This lottery is being videoed by chelsea, cable television and it will be aired on thursday march 10th at 5 pm friday march 11 at 2 p.m and saturday march 12 at 12 p.m, and it will also be available on the chelsea youtube channel starting thursday afternoon.

We will be conducting three separate lotteries for the three pre-k programs here at the early learning center we have a half day, am program, a half day pm program and an extended day, pre-k program.

Will be conducting the lottery using a computer program? First, you will see the list of students that are entered into the lottery. Then you will see the computer program assign a random number to each student and then we will regroup the students in order of those numbers.

The parent information center will be mailing letters, notifying you of your child's placement in the program or spot on the waitlist as well as next steps for registration and those letters will be mailed. Beginning march, 18th.
