Support
of
our
library
foundation,
who
helps
us
offset
the
costs
of
that.
Last
year
we
did
book
bashes
at
Lord,
Rosse,
Thornton
and
our
East
library,
and
this
year
I
wanted
because
there's
such
a
great
need
countywide
community,
that
I
wanted
to
have
it
at
every
location,
so
we're
doing
with
bashes
at
every
single,
their
water
library.
A
E

Libraries
do
which
the
schools,
in
my
opinion,
tend
not
to
do
that
on.
Another
has
been
studies
to
like
the
3rd
grade.
Reading
assessments
or
testing
testing
there's
been
a
challenge
that
the
children
are
just
not
up
to
their
grade
level
when
that
goes
all
the
way
up
to
to
high
school.
So
it's
we
really
tried
to
support
the
school's
curriculum
and
really
get.
A
Next,
we
applied
for
an
MLA
award,
Florida
Library
Association,
their
conference
is
actually
in
two
weeks.
I
will
be
doing
on
May
15th.
Unfortunately,
we
weren't
selected
for
the
award
I
know
it
was
for
our
prisoner
program.
I,
don't
know
if
I
mentioned
that
to
you
before,
but
we
were
selected
to
provide
a
poster
session
at
the
conference,
so
the
Clearwater
Library
System
and
her
staff
will
be
presenting
a
poster
session
about
the
program,
and
we
really
feel
that
you
know
by
by
showcasing
our
program
that
more.
A
Nexxus
creme
on
high
school,
it
has
been
so
successful.
We
were
allotted
ten
scholarships
from
the
state
of
Florida.
We
used
up
all
ten
scholarships.
They
gave
us
ten
more
so
currently,
right
now
we
have
given
fourteen
scholarships
and
we
have
six
more
who
are
doing
the
pre-assessment
right
now
and
we
anticipate
that
they'll
move
forward
and
we'll
be
able
to
allocate
those
the
rest
of
the
six
by
the
end
of
the
state's
fiscal
year,
which
is
June
to
July.
A
We
don't
know
yet
the
governor
is
going
to
continue
or
the
city
is
going
to
continue
to
fund
this
program,
we'll
have
to
wait
and
see
when
the
budget
comes
out
with
his
veto
list.
If
it
does
get
funded
again
and
will
definitely
continue,
you
know
we're
just
picking
offering
this
program.
It
doesn't
get
funded,
we'll
try
to
figure
out
a
way
to
fund
it
internally,
because
it
really
is
a
great
program
so
to
be
continued,
but
I'm
really
hopeful.
A
A

A
The
next
time
for
the
foundation
update
once
again
the
foundation
and
the
friends
will
be
supporting
our
summer
teen
interns
and
they
primarily
help
out
with
our
summer
reading
programs
or
heat
services
team,
and
we
couldn't
do
many
of
the
activities
and
programs
we
do
without
their
help.
So
we're
very
grateful
that
the
foundation
of
the
parents
to
contribute
to
be
able
to
hire
teens
over
the
summer
to
help
us
out
and
it's
a
great
opportunity
for
teens
a
lot
of
times.
You
know
their
faith
in
volunteers.
A
This
is
their
first
job
and
it
really
promotes
lifelong
library
users,
the
team,
so
it's
just
a
great
program,
we're
great
grateful
that
those
funds
again
this
year
and
then
the
friends
the
library
update
they
had
a
book
sale
in
March
and
it
was
a
little
different
and
set
up
this
year
because
obviously
this
is
now
council
chambers.
So
they
use
tap
the
room
here
and
all
of
the
cafe
and
they
did
really
well
I.
A
Think
they
made
over
$2,000
and
I
told
that
actually
having
it
out
in
the
cafe
with
more
people,
and
it
was
more
visible
for
people
instead
of
just
usually
they
just
have
it
in
this
room.
So
I
think
they
really
had
a
really
successful
book.
Sale,
I'm
splitting
it
up,
so
that
really
worked
out
well
and
then
of
coming
on
May
25th
will
be
a
library,
volunteer,
appreciation,
luncheon,
that
countryside
library,
a
clock
and
that's
just
to
recognize
and
thank
our
system-wide
volunteers
were
for
their
efforts
and
their
time
with
our
help.
A
Before
we
submitted
our
preliminary
budget
for
fiscal
year,
1920,
it's
a
status
quo
budget,
so
no
additional
changes.
No
additional
FTEs
I
did
submit
a
CIP
for
a
library
vehicle
which
will
be
a
small
library
book
thirties,
so
it'll
be
a
large
transit
van.
It's
not
going
to
be
a
traditional
bookmobile,
so
we're
really
increasing
our
outreach
efforts
and
we're
bringing
you
know:
pop-up
library,
3d,
printers
and
all
different
kinds
of
stuff,
and
we
having
a
vehicle
that
really
helped
us
with
trans
transportation
and
just
promoting
the
library
of
the
outreach
events.
