A
So
Pat
hugely
green
welcome
our
chair
of
our
school
board.
B
Thank
you.
So
much
and
I
do
want
to
say
that
I'm
Pat,
hugely
green
on
behalf
of
our
president
Brenda
Williams
and
the
Columbus
alumni
chapter
of
Delta
Sigma
Theta,
sorority
Incorporated.
We
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
appear
before
you.
Our
Delta
life
development
house
foundation
house
is
located
at
4925,
Forest
Road
and
my
beautiful
sisters,
who
are
here
with
me.
Please
stand
they
Brave
through
the
discussion
and
your
your
work
that
you
do
here.
That's
very
important.
Thank
you.
B
I
want
you
to
know
that
these
radiant,
ladies
in
red,
are
college-educated
women
with
careers
that
span
across
diverse
Fields,
a
profession
representing
over
330
members
of
our
Columbus
alumni
chapter
of
Delta
Sigma
Theta,
sorority
Incorporated.
Why
are
we
here
an
observance
of
national
voter
registration
day
on
September
20th?
We
are
here
today
to
invite
you
and
the
Tri-County
communities
to
join
us
women
of
delta
in
kicking
off
voter
registration
for
the
November
22
election
cycle.
Also,
we
want
the
public
to
know
that
it
is
equally
important
to
check
your
voting
status.
B
The
important
dates
and
information
October
11th
is
the
last
day
to
register
to
vote
for
the
November
22
election
Monday
October
17th
through
Friday
November
4th
7
A.M
to
7
P.M
will
be
the
beginning
of
advanced
in
early
voting.
The
voting
locations
for
early
voting
is
Citizen.
Services
Center,
the
community
room
downstairs
here
at
311,
311
Citizens,
Way,
Columbus,
Technical
College
on
Manchester
Expressway
and
Shirley
Winston,
Recreation
Center
on
Steam,
Mill,
Road
and,
of
course,
your
regular
polling
place
on
Election
Day.
B
And
that
election
day
is
November,
the
8th,
that's
the
general
election
after
October,
the
11th.
Our
efforts
in
Delta
will
be
to
partner,
with
with
to
collaborate
and
partner
with
other
entities
and
we'll
move
forward
from
voter
registration
drive
to
voter
education
and
voter
mobilization.
What
we
dealt
to
women
know
and
our
commitment
to
Sisterhood,
scholarship
and
service
is
that
our
democracy
is
strongest
when
all
voices
are
heard
and
when
all
groups
are
represented.
B
Our
country
and
communities
are
strongest
when
its
citizens
are
registered
to
vote
and
when
all
registered
voters
participate
in
the
election
process.
Our
families,
our
strongest,
when
we
all
understand
that
politics
impacts
every
single
aspect
of
our
lives
and
you
all
were
just
discussing
one
paid
compensation.
So
it's
important
that
people
understand
the
power
of
their
vote
and
individually.
We
are
strongest
when
we
walk
in
our
power.
B
Knowing
that
voting
is
our
fundamental
right
and
when
we
Face
lawful
obstacles
of
voter
suppression,
apathetic
attitudes
when
election
results
are
not
what
we
hope
for
We
Stand
committed
to
vote
anyway.
September
20th
we
Delta
women
are
going
to
show
up
all
across
this
community
doing
voter
registrations
and
our
efforts
will
continue
through
October
11,
and
we
encourage
you
to
join
us
and
thank
you
again
for
allowing
us
to
be
on
this
agenda.
