A
Hello,
I
am
charney
we're
executive
director
of
keep
columbus,
beautiful,
an
awesome
organization
who
does
things
to
help
you
keep
a
clean
and
green
city
and
coming
up
on
today's
show
we're
going
to
talk
about
a
few
things
and
a
few
ways
that
you
can
help
us
keep
columbus
beautiful
throughout
the
city
and
we
have
a
special
guest
with
us.
That's
going
to
tell
you
how
you
can
participate,
but
before
we
get
started,
let's
jump
into
this
video
about
what
keep
columbus
beautiful
is
keep
columbus.
Beautiful
is
all
about
keeping
your
environment
clean.
A
We
want
to
make
sure
you're
adopting
programs
like
recycling
and
reusing
household
items.
We
want
to
make
sure
you're
educated
on
what
we
recycle
and
what
can
be
reused.
We
have
programs
such
as
help
the
hooch
and
organizational
cleanups
where
you
can
get
into
your
community
and
make
sure
you're
living
in
a
litter-free
area.
B
A
As
we
all
know,
litter
has
become
a
serious
problem
in
our
community.
It's
become
an
issue,
that's
not
just
eyesore,
but
it's
harmful
to
our
environment,
and
so
today
I
want
to
talk
to
you
about
six
ways
that
you
can
help
us,
keep
our
city
clean
and
green
and
different
things
you
can
do
to
prevent
litter
in
our
community.
A
That
way,
another
thing
you
can
do
is
create
less
waste.
We
all
have
items
in
our
car
receipts,
straw,
papers,
old
bags,
all
kinds
of
things
that
float
in
our
car
right.
So
maybe
we
can
try
to
do
things
like
creating
less
waste
using
more
reusable
bags,
using
reusable
straws
that
way
when
you
get
straws
or
straw
paper
from
the
from
the
restaurant,
you
can
hold
it
because
you
have
your
reusable
straw.
A
Also,
if
you
see
it,
be
it
if
you
see
the
issue
be
a
part
of
the
solution
and
help
us
keep
a
clean
and
green
community
by
being
a
part
of
that
change.
If
you
see
litter
on
your
on
your
walk
on
your
jog,
be
a
part
of
the
change
and
pick
it
up
or
make
sure
you
report
it.
When
you
see
the
instant
happen,
you
can
always
report
this
by
dialing
three
on
one
calling
your
local
police
office
or
visiting
the
keep
columbus
beautiful
website
where
we
will
have
a
upcoming
report,
litter
tab.
A
Another
way
that
I
know
you
all
are
all
excited
about
is
taking
action.
You
can
take
action
in
your
community
by
participating
in
local
cleanups
or
starting
a
cleanup
on
your
own
by
just
doing
a
walk
through
your
neighborhood
and
picking
up
trash.
As
you
see
it
today,
we
have
a
special
guest.
As
you
all
know,
we
have
our
mlk
day
of
service
every
year,
so
you
can
participate
in
an
active
service.
A
Just
like
martin
luther
king
did
he
took
action,
and
so
will
we
today
our
special
guest
is
a
community
activist,
a
business
owner
and
an
all-around
community
leader.
Mr
wrongzell
buckner
joins
us
to
talk
about
this
amazing
event,
but
before
we
jump
into
our
amazing
guest,
I
want
to
share
with
you
another
way
you
can
check.
You
can
adopt
a
spot
throughout
your
community.
This
video
tells
you
all
about
how
you
can
be
a
community
activist
yourself
by
adopting
a
spot.
A
A
D
Well,
one
of
the
things
that
that
I
did
for
columbus
was
to
recognize
the
sacrifice
that
dr
thomas
h
brewer
gave
when
he
gave
his
life
here
in
this
city
by
putting
a
monument
on
his
grave
out
at
green,
acre
cemetery.
D
The
next
thing
that
I
did
in
this
city
to
bring
recognition
to
the
african-american
community
and
also
to
our
city
of
the
contributions
that
african
americans
have
made
over
the
years
to
make
our
city
the
great
city
that
it
is
now
was
to
develop
the
martin
luther
king
outdoor
learning
trail.
That
trail
runs
from
macon
road
at
rigden.
Road
down.
D
Rigdon
up
is
road
across
bueno
vista
road
down
down,
martin
luther
king
boulevard.
All
the
way
downtown
to
the
river
and
on
this
trail
is
basically
markers
that
was
fabricated
to
stand
approximately
about
three
feet
high
and
these
markers
talks
about
the
contribution
that
african-american
made
all
the
way
through
the
the
trail.
D
So
you
have
now
11
markers
on
the
trail
and
it
talks
about
the
first
african-american
community
that
was
built
for
african-americans
by
mr
e.e
foley,
and
I'm
also
developing.
Now,
on
that
trail,
a
10
acre
farm
wow
and
this
10
acre
farm
is
being
developed
because
of
the
fact
that
we
got
to
focus
on
doing
something
to
get
our
young
people
to
stop,
stop
being
so
violent
to
each
other.
D
We're
developing
this
farm
in
the
poorest
community
on
the
south
side
of
columbus,
which
is
right
right
at
marshall,
success
center
and
also
j.d
davis
elementary
school.
We
took
the
football
field
and
we
also
took
the
the
skeleton
building
there
in
the
baseball
field
of
the
old
spencer,
high
school
behind
marshall
and
we're
going
to
develop
that.
A
That's
fantastic.
All
of
those
great
things
are
a
part
of
keeping
columbus
beautiful.
It's
the
history,
it's
the
beautification,
like
you
mentioned
the
trails,
can
you
tell
us
why
having
access
to
healthy
food
and
having
those
access
to
trails
is
key
to
the
community,
but
not
only
that
but
highlighting
the
culture
that
columbus
has.
D
But
it
was
also
developed
so
that
the
peoples
in
the
south
side
of
columbus
would
have
a
healthy
nice
place
to
walk
to
jog
or
to
ride
their
bikes,
and
that
will
cut
down
on
some
of
this
illness
and
sickness
that
we
have
in
our
community,
which
is
going
to
help
the
the
community
become
aware
of
what
they
are
eating.
And
they
will
be
a
lot
more
healthier
and
in
the
kitchen,
once
we
get
that
developed
they'll.
D
A
Is
very
important,
I
think
a
lot
of
times.
We
don't
realize
that
these
type
of
green
things
is
what
we
need.
It's
about
our
environment.
The
environment
plays
a
huge
role
in
our
mental
physical
and
health
of
our
lives
and
doing
things
like
this
is
very
important.
It's
not
just
about
the
litter.
It's
not
just
about
the
recycling.
It's
about
bringing
things
together
to
help
us
have
healthier
communities
and
I
think
the
work
you're
doing
is
fantastic.
A
I'm
excited
to
see
the
children
build
these
gardens
and
help
put
their
hands
in
the
dirt.
I
think
when
you
put
your
hands
in
it,
you
appreciate
it
a
lot
more
and
you're
able
to
take
care
of
things
and
pass
that
on
to
generations
to
come,
and
that's
what
keeping
columbus
beautiful
is
all
about.
So
tell
us.
We
have
an
amazing
event
with
all
those
fantastic
things.
I'm
sure
the
viewers
and
the
listeners
want
to
know
how
they
can
get
involved
and
take
action.
A
I
know
that
garden
is
now
the
end
point
for
the
martin
luther
king
day.
Cleanup
that
we
do
so.
Can
you
talk
to
us
about
how
you
got
that
event
started
and
what
started
the
day
of
service
for
cleanup?
What
launched
that
for
you
and
how
long
has
that
been
going
with
keep
columbus,
beautiful
and
turn
around
columbus?
Well,.
D
We
started
to
clean
up
approximately
four
years
ago
and
the
reason
for
launching
it
is
because
of
the
fact
that
we
do
a
lot
of
things
on
martin
luther
king
day,
but
we
do
not
do
work
right.
We
go
to.
We
go
to
events
and
things
like
that,
but
we
got
to
get
out
and
get
our
hands
in
the
litter
and
pick
the
letter
up.
D
Keep
the
trail
clean
because
the
trail
was
truly
and
what
turnaround
columbus
is
developing
is
truly
a
tourist
attraction
to
drink,
bring
peoples
to
south
columbus
and
we
want
the
the
trail
and
south
columbus
to
look
good.
And
while
I'm
speaking
on
that,
I
would
like
to
say
thank
you
and
keep
columbus
beautiful
for
the
help
that
you
give
us
and
signs,
and
things
like
that,
and
so
that's
why
it
was
developed
to
let
our
kids
know
that
martin
luther
king
was
about
action.
A
And
that's
fantastic,
I
think
one
thing
that
we
all
can
do
is
take
action,
and
so,
if
you
would
like
to
join
us
on
this
monday
or
if
you're
unable
to
make
it
know
that
you
can
always
participate
in
litter
cleanups,
you
can
register
online
we'll
make
sure
to
put
that
website
on
the
screen
for
you
to
register.
This
is
an
event
open
to
all
so
bring
a
friend
tell
a
friend
and
join
us
to
take
action.
A
Just
as
martin
luther
king
did
and
that
cleanup
is
january,
17th
we'll
be
meeting
at
two
locations
from
9
30
and
we'll
be
departing
at
10
o'clock.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
you
know
that
there's
always
ways
you
can
take
action
being
a
part
of
this
is
fantastic
and
we
want
to
make
sure
you
know
how
you
can
do
that.
D
Turnaroundcolumbus.Org
you'll,
see
the
rendering
of
the
farm,
and
also
you
can
go
to
our
facebook
page
turn
around
columbus
and
you
can
register
to
be
in
the
cleanup
for
this
17th
of
this
month.
A
Fantastic,
so
you
have
several
ways
to
get
involved.
You
can
always
participate
in
the
activities
on
the
garden
and
you
can
join
us
for
a
cleanup
and
speaking
of
a
peachy,
clean
and
green
columbus.
When
we
jump
back,
I'm
going
to
tell
you
of
some
other
ways,
you
can
help
us
keep
a
peachy,
clean
and
green
city
by
cleaning
out
your
closet.
I'm
sure
you
have
some
skeleton
shoes
in
there
and
you
can
get
rid
of
those
old
soles.
A
B
A
A
A
Date
and
location
did
you
know:
over
350
million
pair
of
shoes
are
placed
in
the
landfill
annually
which
actually
take
over
a
thousand
years
to
decompose
that
takes
up
a
lot
of
space
in
our
landfill
serving
no
purpose.
Well,
here
is
the
sad
fact.
According
to
the
u.s
agency
for
international
development,
the
number
of
children
around
the
world
who
have
never
owned
a
pair
of
shoes,
also
equals
300
million.
A
This
is
why
it
would
be
a
great
reason
for
you
to
donate
those
shoes
in
your
closet
instead
of
sending
them
to
a
landfill
by
you,
donating
your
shoes
to
keep
columbus,
beautiful,
the
shoe
campaign
and
the
shoes
donated
will
be
given
a
second
chance
and
it
can
make
a
difference
in
people's
lives
around
the
world.
Now
that
is
making
an
environmental
impact.
A
There
are
so
many
ways
you
can
do
your
part
to
be
a
part
of
the
solution,
not
the
pollution.
One
of
those
ways
is
making
our
city
a
great
way
and
that
step
is
switching
to
our
collection
and
automated
system.
So
this
means
you'll
have
a
designated
cart
for
each
collection
day,
just
like
our
recycling
system.
A
By
switching
to
this
method,
it
will
allow
a
smoother
collection
day
and
leaving
less
room
for
litter
and
debris
from
trash
being
left
outside
your
garbage
bin,
so
make
sure
you're
staying
up
to
date
and
visit
the
website
on
your
screen
to
learn
more
about
the
upcoming
automated
system.
We
look
forward
to
answering
all
your
questions
about
this
new
format
and
this
new
program.
A
A
But
before
we
go,
you
can
stay
up
to
date
on
all
of
our
upcoming
events
by
downloading
the
columbus
recycles
app,
which
this
graphic
on
your
screen
will
tell
you
exactly
how
you
can
go
to
your
app
store.
You
can
get
those
alerts
on
collections
and
recycle
events
and
by
visiting
the
keep
columbus
beautiful
website.
