Hi
everybody
I'm
Rick
Jones,
the
director
of
planning
for
your
Columbus
planning
department.
We
hope
you
enjoyed
our
parody
of
Family
Feud,
which
was
designed
to
help
you
get
a
little
more
insight
into
the
workings
of
the
conference
of
planning.
The
conference
of
plan
or
master
plans
is
called
is
the
document
which
will
help
guide
this
development
decisions
in
our
community
for
the
next
20
years.
The
plan
will
help
determine
where
the
next
subdivisions,
commercial
activities
and
roads
will
be
constructed.
A
It
also
determines
the
potential
impact
development
may
have
on
our
neighborhoods
schools,
our
financial
health
and,
most
importantly,
our
quality
of
life.
This
is
where
you
come
in.
In
the
coming
weeks
of
playing
the
part,
we
will
be
hosting
a
series
of
pilot
workshops
to
solicit
your
input
about
the
future
of
Columbus.
A
We
need
to
hear
from
you
on
what
you
would
like
to
see
Columbus
to
come
over
the
next
20
years,
I
invite
you
to
attend
one
of
the
meetings
listed
on
the
screen,
so
that
together
we
can
establish
a
plan
for
future
growth
in
our
community.
Now,
if
you
can't
make
any
of
those
means,
there
are
other
ways
for
you
to
participate.
In
the
coming
days,
we
will
be
announcing
our
comprehensive
plan
web
page,
Facebook,
Instagram
and
Twitter
pages
for
you
to
give
us
your
comments
and
stay
updated
with
our
progress.
A
A
Columbus
is
a
great
city
with
great
potential.
How
we
maintain
that
momentum
to
be
there
that's
been
achieved
for
the
last
20
years
is
up
to
you.
I
strongly
encourage
you
to
take
advantage
of
this
opportunity
to
make
your
voice
heard
on
the
future
of
our
community.
Thanks
for
your
interest-
and
we
look
forward
to
hearing
from
you
soon
and
remember
our
future
matters.
