B
So
good
morning,
everyone
I
want
to
thank
you
and
and
for
joining
us
and
also
wanted
to
say
a
very
special
thank
you
to
the
santa
clara
county,
fair
management
and
avondrotti,
for
making
testing
here
so
accessible
and
when
coven
19
hit.
This
was
one
of
the
first
organizations
to
jump
in
and
be
helpful.
B
Now
we
are
officially
in
the
countdown
to
flu
season
and
we're
also
in
the
middle
of
a
worldwide
corona
virus
pandemic,
and
it
makes
it
even
more
important
that
everybody
gets
their
flu
shot
and
I'm
going
to
let
dr
smith
be
the
doctor
and
just
explain
that
for
a
minute,
starting
this
saturday
september,
19th
from
nine
to
four
you'll
be
able
to
walk
up
or
bike
up,
I'm
so
glad
to
see
shiloh
here
to
the
blue
arch
at
gate
b,
to
get
a
free
flu
shot.
B
B
This
will
happen
every
saturday
until
mid-december,
at
the
expo
center
and
you'll
be
ex
you'll
be
escorted
in
and
all
the
shots
will
be
given
in
the
expo
center,
regardless
of
your
immigration
status,
your
insurance
we're
encouraging
everyone
from
toddlers
to
seniors
from
age.
Three
to
you
know
forever
to
get
a
free
flu
shot
if
you're
disabled
you
can
park
at
gate
b,
children
if
you're
that
are
between
3
and
17,
have
to
have
a
parent
here
with
them
or
a
guardian,
and
if
you
prefer
one-stop
medical
shopping.
B
Every
year's
flu
flu
vaccine
introduces
three
to
four
inactive
strains
of
the
influenza
which
spur
your
body
to
create
the
antibodies
to
fight
it,
and
that's
my
segway
enter
into
introducing
our
county
executive
who's,
a
multi-talented
county
executive.
He
is
a
lawyer
and
a
doctor
and
he's
going
to
give
you
some
more
information.
Dr
smith,.
C
So,
every
year
the
flu
virus
kills
tens
of
thousands
of
people
in
the
united
states
and
makes
hundreds
and
hundreds
of
thousands
of
people
ill.
It
also
hospitalizes
hundreds
of
people
in
california,
so
it's
critically
important
that
everyone
get
their
flu
vaccine,
because
the
flu
vaccine
protects
very
strongly
against
the
infection.
C
C
B
Thank
you,
dr
smith,
and
just
one
other
point
I
wanted
to
make.
We've
been
working
as
a
community
really
hard
to
make
sure
we
have
a
few
people
in
the
hospital
and
we
really
want
to
make
sure
that
happens
with
the
flu
as
well.
As
you
know,
we
are
going
to
be
in
flu
season
while
we're
still
fighting
covid19
and
we
want
to
work
together
to
make
sure
people
stay
healthy
and
out
of
the
hospital.
D
D
D
But
in
order
to
do
that,
you
got
to
think
about
well
all
right,
it's
free,
but
can
people
get
there
who
also
may
not
have
a
car
or
they
are
bike
dependent
and
that's
where
we
are
just
so
grateful
to
the
county
for
thinking
through
all
of
these
kinds
of
details,
it's
free
and
you
don't
have
to
own
a
car.
You
can
get
here
by
transit
by
buy
a
bike
by
walking.
D
However
else
you
can
get
here,
I
wanted
to
highlight
also
the
fact
that
the
county
last
year
provided
funding
to
the
bike
coalition
to
do
some
public
opinion
research
on
attitudes
towards
transportation,
so
that
we
could
better
understand
why
people
make
the
transportation
decisions
that
they
make.
One
of
the
questions
we
asked
folks
and
we
surveyed
1
000
people
in
santa
clara
county,
any
any
type
of
person
not
just
bicyclists.
D
We
asked
people
is
owning
a
car,
a
financial
hardship
for
you
and
20
of
the
folks
that
we
surveyed
said
yes,
it
kind
of
is
and
of
those
20
percent.
That
said
yes,
owning
a
car
is
a
little
bit.
It's
unaffordable
to
us,
the
the
two
demographics
that
popped
out.
There
were
folks
of
latinx
ancestry
and
young
people,
of
course.
D
D
The
last
thing
I
wanted
to
say
was
that
you
know
for
for
someone
like
me
and
a
lot
of
the
folks
that
we
at
the
bike
coalition
represent.
D
We
are
able-bodied
healthy
individuals
who
a
lot
of
times
are
saying
you
know
we
don't
need
a
flu
shot,
we're
healthy,
but
I
just
want
to
emphasize
it's
really
important.
Now,
more
than
ever,
for
everybody,
even
the
most
healthy
amongst
us
to
be
getting
their
flu
shots
and
to
be
making
sure
that
we're
staying
healthy.
So
thank
you
and
thank
you
to
the
county
and
the
supervisor.
Chavez.
B
Thank
you
for
being
with
us,
so
we're
happy
to
answer
questions
and
then
I'm
going
to
get
a
flu
shot
because
I
already
filled
out
my
paperwork.
So
if
there
are
any
questions,
we're
happy
to
answer
them
now.
E
Yeah
or
maybe
have
the
doctor
explain
just
you
know
how.
E
B
C
Good
question:
the
two
viruses
are
very
different:
one
is
a
coronavirus,
one
and,
and
one
is
a
different
type
of
virus
that
changes
very
rapidly.
The
flu
has
been
with
us
for
a
long
time.
However,
they
both
present
with
similar
symptoms,
runny
nose
fever,
cough
shortness
of
breath,
those
kinds
of
things.
So
it's
going
to
be
difficult
for
your
doctor
to
distinguish
between
the
two
infections.
